1974 G10 Chevy Van Get's New Shoes "Ansen Top Eliminators on M/T Indy Profiles"

- When I got a call from our buddy Tadd that the wheels on his 74 Chevy Van were literally falling apart and he was in need of a new set of shoes for it, I asked him what his budget was and how soon he needed them. He told me what he had to spend and said he needed them yesterday. Being that his G10 is an early 74, it was still a 5 x 4.75 bolt pattern that made things easier, as there's a lot more GM car stuff out there.
After digging around online for little bit I found the right set of wheels no more than 15 minutes from the ranch and at a really good price. Showed our bud the wheels, he hit the green light, transferred the dough, the next morning we hopped on the red chevy and ran and got em.
In this video, we run up to Agoura Hills, CA to drop off Tadd's new shoes and give him a hand slippin em on the ol 74 Chevy.

I'm about to buy a 1974 g29 shorty for $1,200 bucks zero rust 250 inline 6 runs drive fine needs a battery is all. My first real van. It's may 2023... im stoked!!!!
Needs a matching ball cap visor, black smoked louvers on back, a ladder, and a tube luggage rack. That van would be sick.
8's and 10's are the way to go for sure - those M/T's are perfect, just can't find them anymore...
I love those older, smaller bumpers with that old school grille.. I found a G30 barn doors, a late 80's ... it would look nicer with that stuff on it
a 74! I had one of these... with "Vector" rims... same size and same tires though... but NO power steering... sweet ride.
I want a chevy van
The grill was the exact same as on this green van, with the 3 point mirrors. Carpeted throughout. Very basic inside. Had the canted, rounded corners on rectangular port hole covers. Same as The Wild Cherry van.

KQQL wheels!!! We called them jelly bean mags in Australia when I was younger, people couldn’t give them away in the 90’s but now good sizes are hard to find! Trying to track some down for my Bedford van to replace my torque thrusts 15x7 and 15x10.

I have an 87 C10 V6 Camper van. It looks great , don’t think of it as old, but it’s 35 years old.
That’s like driving a 1940 vehicle in 1985. Also only has 75,000.00 miles.
Have driven it mostly over mountain passes as that’s what you have to do around Vancouver BC to get anywhere.
Not a problem, as I’m passing newer vehicles overheating,( where I stop and give them water from the 50 gallon water tank, used normally for camping ).
Haven’t gotten into the Van community, ( show and Shine, etc) but thinking about it, as it’s that nice.

I have a 73 short wheel base G10.I got married,let it sit up in the weather.Gonna bring it back. My van was a land mark 80's thru late 90's.in home town.It's coming back.Putting a complete 1991 chevy impala wiring and engine,Trans combo into it.Throttle body fuel injection. Hell yea.

Slow down man, we're simply changing tires one at a time. We're not working under the vehicle. Appreciate your concern though. And yes, if you're working under your vehicle, use jack stands.

Had the same wheels on my 72 Chevelle., One difference, I polished them, wow they looked amazing, ( Polished). Just look old and dated otherwise.

It's just an old used independent front chin spoiler. They're still easily available through a few places online with a quick google search.

Honestly man, start with a different van. This van is a stock G10 1/2 ton. You have a G30 1 ton. Your van has the beefy suspension. If you want that look the best place to start is with a G10 or G20 and go from there.
