February 2024, and still going strong. Air Supply will always be with me for the rest of my life. I agree. There are certain songs I remember hearing my dad play on his old transistor handheld radio back when I was a young boy. My dad has been gone since August 31, 1998. Every time I hear certain songs I just want to cry. I can't help it.
Air Supply is one of the best soft rock duos of music history. Every song is tender and sweet. Beautiful melodies and arrangements. I had the privilege of seeing them perform a concert at a local fair many years ago they were outstanding as always

Skating rink memories for me. And no we didn't have cell phones back then. If we needed to call our parents we had to use the skating rink pay phone .
I remember my mom being mad when I'd go ride my bike for hours around town without telling her where I was going. It's no fun now when you can't be mischievous because they can call you any time.

I'm 62 now. I enjoyed this video in my 20's - it has aged well. The world feels so different for me now. It makes me miss the 80's. We could experience an amusement park, enjoying the companionship, and never think about looking at a cell phone.

Beautiful song. I have not heard it in so long. I was 20 years old when this song came out. Having our first child. I think that music was so much better back in those days. Now we have five children, and believe it or not two grandchildren. My husband and I have been together for 43 and 1/2 years. Amazing songs like this from the past bring back a rush of memories. Mostly good, so bad, but that is life isn't it? Songs like this really makes you think. So happy that I heard it on the radio this morning!! Thank you Air Supply for all the wonderful memories! ❤❤

I suddenly remembered this song tonight. The tunes were playing in my head. So I opened TH-cam and searched for this song. Then I took out my guitar and tried to follow the chords along, only to realize what complicated chords they have used, which makes me realize what great musicians they are. The 80's songs are the best.

That's the one I noticed in the 80s music. They made it look simple but it's a complex piece.
I wonder why “musicians” don't follow these methods of 80s music, especially the bands. I find music nowadays boring. I tried listening to it, and it didn't last for weeks.
My ex (RIP) used to love Air Supply, and he introduced me to their songs. We even went to see them live at the Greek Theater in L.A. This was maybe mid-90s. What great songs they sing. I still, up to this day, listen to their songs, so beautiful. I always remember my ex when listening to Air Supply. After our divorce we became best friends, but alas that didn't last long as he passed away in 2006.

I remember being in middle school and in class we were talking about music. My teacher at the time told us that Air Supply was her favorite group. I had not heard of them at the time so I asked my Mom about it and she played some of their music - of it all, this is my favorite song. Thanks Mrs. Sribnick!

Oh man, this song took my breath away when I was a little girl. My parents listened to a lot of soft rock in addition to the music from the '50s and '60s they grew up with, so I was raised on that music, and any time they were listening to soft rock radio and this song came on I slowed my breathing down so I could pay closer attention to it and it... it just sounded so magical to me. Like, it swept me away to a mystical fairy wonderland or something and I was totally into the journey. Now I'm an old woman of 37 and I reminisce about those times, and this song still has that power to captivate me. Wow.

Saw these guys in Modesto CA a few months ago. Had a young rocking band and pulled every hit off and the vocals were pretty darn impecable for both of these guys being in their 70's. Would love to know what happened to the "young girls" in the vid who would probably be around 60 now. Time flies, people. Enjoy every moment of life while you can. We're all on the clock to destiny.

Late seventies baby here. So I was a child when this was came out. But, for whatever reason this morning as I woke up, I began humming this song and really struggled to recall a good string of lyrics to plug into Google. First try I found it. This is definitely a happy place song.

I'm Egyptian. When I was a teenager (I'm 51 now) I heard this song on the radio. I didn't know it and for many years I ignored the title of the song and the singer. But I kept in mind the refrain and for over 10 years I was humming it to myself and I was dying to know more about it so that I can find the song. With the advent of internet my dream came true!
