As an American, on visits to the Philippines, that country is filled with incredible singers. I haven't been back for a while but with at least 2 generations of children who grew up with karaoke, they sure had a lot of practice. As far as song and dance, Filipinos are the best .

It becomes a way of life that started singing lullabys, nursery songs, classroom programs(singing dominated), churches, minus one sets, videokes and karaokes. Even a mere diner server could also sing well, tolerated by the owner to atract customers. In my time in mid 80's we had borrowed songhits(song booklets)and singing accapella with classmates on free time.

@@zethcao11 Yes songhits are phenomenal in the Philippines during that time and it was very helpful to many in learning to play the guitar. There is only one I know he abled to play a guitar from their elective in school. Those who can afford got those glossy covers with very visible printed lyrics and chords. For most are the smaller ones are having just a little bit thicker than a leaflet. Sometimes it is very agonizing to feel when someone knew from the other section singing the exact lyrics of a new hit. When finally having that songhits on hand but then didn't able to sing the Intro. Solution: calling a schoolmate to sing the hit first and if not just continue to Chorus(the easiest way). It resorted to many alibis too like boys attracting girls they got the latest one. Or a chance from a girl to return the songhits to her crush...😍😂

I think thats shows hw filipino singers are diff from kpop.. I lve kpop but to be honest vocal tone of filipino are different they sang from their soul.. Too much emotions which is good.. Tha k u for reacting to our musicians.. ❤️❤️❤️
