I like your wet paper towel trick to keep dust out of the holes. In a pinch, I've used the disposable ear plugs to seal up threaded holes so I could paint without worry. I had the opportunity to help out with powder coating a few things once and they used something similar.

I smoked my SCAR Audio 12's DVC 2 Ohm. I got an oscilloscope and adjusted my gain correctly and turned off bass boost. Kind of a blessing as now I have my 2x 12" Sundown SDL DVC 4 Ohms running are there own 500w Alpine mono amp @ 2ohms per sub, These speakers sound better and hit so much harder. I wanted a smaller sealed box for my daily driver to get my trunk space back. I've learned a lot from your channel. Thanks.
How'd you blow yours? I've got two Skar 12's right now ready for an install. together they'll be 2,500RMS @ 1ohm off the Skar 2000.1 but i'm a bit skeptical, any advice on how not to blow mine up during their trial?
Those speakers were put together with clear loctite from the factory. Blue loctite will melt at the temps you will push rendering it useless. The parts will jiggle but the bolts will be tight.
EXO, you gotta tape 20x20 hvac air filters to the backs of those box fans. It wont catch everything but makes a hell of a difference. I've been spraying for 20 years trust me try it out. Just get a multi pack of the cheap blue fiberglass joints
What I found to be a good way of blocking up holes to prevent any deposits getting in them is disposable ear plugs (the memory foam type) as they can be squeeze into holes and then they expand to seal the hole.
You should open up the flaps of the cardboard box, get a cheap HVAC Duct filter about the same size of the box opening to extract through. Have the box fan sitting behind that pulling air out of the box and through/into the filter. Without something for the overspray to really stick to it's just going to flow around your garage and land on anything else it can stick to.
Brother dont use wd40 on the boots! Its petroleum based so after a while it will eat away at the rubber. Use silicon spray it works great and it's safe for rubber. Keep the builds comin! Awesome vids!
Idk anything about having Crones but if you can eat peanut butter, it's a great way to put on weight. I just started lifting about 7 months ago and I'm about to finish my first bulk. Peanut butter has helped me put on about 12lbs in the last 2 months. Maybe worth a shot. Sub's are looking awesome!

when you're storing speaker drivers cover them in cling film to keep the dust and debris out believe me it will save you a huge hassle and a headache down the road
They turned out great! True stormtroopers! My biggest car audio fail happend after I bursted my first windshield. I replaced the windshield myself and it turned out pretty good. When I installed the wipers I smashed one of the wiperarms into the windshield without a blade on it and.... had to replace the windshield right again

You could put an old pillow down as well, to help prevent scratching that fresh paint. Also, my dumbest thing was sending a drill through some of the first deaf bonce drivers in the states and they weren't even mine.

I was wiring my first amp in a truck and connected the negative and positive backwards. I didn't know so much magic smoke could be contained in a 50W Pyramid amp. It was a cheap amp and my local CB/communications shop had a replacement chip. Replaced it and back in business. I think that was about 1990/'91.

Can also relate to the "Eat and never gain" delima, For me its just metabolism...eat a ton, gain nothing, forever skinny haha sometimes that's life and here I am moving around heavy transformers or subwoofers occasionally.
one time i was changing an intake manifold gasket and i dropped a small nut in the intake port... yes, the valve was open and it went into the cylinder

I cut one of the outside 4x4s which was already lag bolted in and concreted into the ground. that was a fun little thing to dig back up and re-concrete.. *doh*

First amp I ever owned. I removed the power and ground to remove my sub and clean my trunk. When I reconnected it I had got the power and ground backwards. I owned that amp for a week.
At the stage they are, with the paint being that fresh, the paint will actually stick to the blanket because it's still a soft form and completely mess the paint up.

I ran 3 sundown audio e.8 v6 in my car and it slammed on 2000 watts. if u only go for 1 i would recommend looking at the sundown sa.8 or the x-series:)
Good one for you. I took my amp apart to spray paint it and give it some maintenance. I cleaned the thermal paste and took the Kapton tape off the heatsink, not realising that the Kapton tape stops a short to ground🤣🤣. Blew my amp up from doing that. New amp board later and a few questions around and my amp is up and running again 🤣
Oh boy, this one will come back to bight me lol. When I was about 15 I had just bought my first car. It was a 1995 Chevy Camaro, the stock stereo had a stock 8” sub in the rear of the vehicle so I have the bright idea to go purchase a pioneer GM-8601d and a set of entry level 12’s. When I got home I figured since the stock sub in the vehicle had a little amp to it I’ll be able to cut the wires and just hook the 12v, acc, and ground to the new amp. It surprisingly worked for maybe 2-3 days and I ended up smoking/frying my amp. Took it back to the place I bought it and showed them how I had it hooked up. To say the least I learned my lesson that day lol.

I was removing a steering wheel without a puller by hitting it toward me with my palms while sitting in the seat. Leave the nut on a few threads if you try this. My nose was the only bone I’ve ever broken.

Theres nothing more satisfying then working on subs. Thats why i love my m3 mojo's so much they literally unbolt and break down so easy.
