You see when the Prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم made duaa for him he said: {وعلمه التأويل} "& teach him the interpretation of the Quran", he did not say "& make him the interpreter of the Quran" therefore Ibn Abbas learned from the senior Sahaba especially the two Khulafaa Abubakr & Omar but that does not mean he became infallible but rather among the reliable authorities on Tafseer.
That is why when you come across a Tafseer by Ibn Abbas that contradicts with a sound Hadith you simply take the Hadith over his opinion as we do with all the blessed companions.

Salafiya is a sect
Salafi is just a word play... I'll break down what salafi is and what a sunni is.
As muslims, our guide is Quran and Sunnah of our prophet (saws). However, sometimes we may not understand them as Allah intended, that's why it's very important to listen to scholars.
Abu Darda reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The scholars are the successors of the prophets. Verily, the prophets do not pass on gold and silver coins, but rather they only impart knowledge.”

Grade: Salih (good) according to Al-Bazzār
Even in amongst scholars, the best of them are "Salaf" which linguistically means "predecessors" but it's referred to three generations that prophet mentioned.
Abdullah ibn Mas’ud reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The best people are those of my generation, then those who come after them, then those who come after them. Then, there will come people after them whose testimony precedes their oaths and their oaths precede their testimony.”
Source: Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 6429, Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2533
So the salaf consist of Sahaba, students of sahaba (tabi'un) and students of these students (Tabi'al-tabi'un). They are the people who best understood the Quran and Sunnah, so we take from there understanding.
Now here's where things get complicated, though we know exactly what we have to do (i.e follow Quran and Sunnah) there have been a lot of deviances that cause people to go astray and form sects within Islam like Shia'a, Khawarij, Murji'ah, Jahmi'ah, and many more.
Prophet (saws) prophesied this:
Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "What befell the children of Isra'il will befall my Ummah, step by step, such that if there was one who had intercourse with his mother in the open, then there would be someone from my Ummah who would do that. Indeed the children of Isra'il split into seventy-two sects, and my Ummah will split into seventy-three sects. All of them are in the Fire Except one sect." He said: "And which is it O Messenger of Allah?" He said: "What I am upon and my Companions."

So, what is sought is to follow Quran, Sunnah and the Companions (extended to Salaf who took from Companions)
This "group" is called Ahl-al Sunnah Wal Jamaa'ah or Sunni for short.
Now, Sunnis have 4 schools of thought as agreed upon by scholars. That is Hanafi, Maaliki, Shafii and Hanbali. (All of whose Imams were from salaf) This is agreed upon through consensus of scholars.
But this didn't stop from people to deviate even within the "Sunnis" or become fanatics of their Madhabs to an extent that people would reject Sahih Hadith just to follow their madhabs.
The Imams of these madhabs made clear that everyone should follow the sunnah when its established even if its against their rulings. Imam Abu Haneefah (rh) said along the lines of "Smash my ruling against a wall if you find a hadith against what I ruled, for my way is the way of the Hadith"
However, that didn't stop people from causing sectarianism using madhabs. Many deviant sects came from within sunnis like the Barelwis, Deobandis, etc..
Now, coming back to point, these people who call themselves "salafis" their claim is they want to follow the original sunnah as understood by the salaf and to not take from any single Imam rather to go for the strongest opinion.
Many people misunderstand that this was movement first started by Muhammad Bin Abdul Wahhab (rh) but actually this concept of "we will follow strongest opinion from the salaf and not confine ourselves to a single madhab" existed since the beginning. Scholars like Imam Bukhari, Ibn Taymiyyah, Al Qayyim and recently scholars like Albaani (may Allah have mercy upon all of them) have always claimed as such.
However, what we see today from these "salafis" is that they pick and choose from salaf. They're not very true to their word and the should rather be referred to as pseudo-salafis. They just use big names like Ibn Taymiyyah, Ibn Qayyim, and from recent times, the likes of Bin Baaz, Uthaymeen, Albani etc. (who were all great scholars of their times)
At the end of the day, everyone, salafis or madhabis, all want to follow ahl al sunnah wal jamaa'ah without any adulterations. As long as they don't deviate from the teachings of Quran and Sunnah based on the understanding of Salaf, they're all sunni.

Please change the subheadings of this video it has nothing to do with disagreement. Both brothers are just showing to each other what they know and learning from each other. Also, they are not arguing, which they are having a happy chat with each other about Islam
This is one of the problems, when brothers bring argumets of other people ,let them bring their own arguments if they dont khalas ,it makes you look suspect.

There has been division in the Ummah always, but the division increased in the West since SPUBS, no doubt. If shamsi or anyone wants evidence, there are 1000s of instances that they divide and not based on Aqeedah, they will divide over Ijithad issues, ie a difference between two scholars. Not only wil they divide, theybwill warn against you and hate you worse than enemies hated ke in my Jahhliyyah. Don't let them confuse you by using the word salafiyyah, if you are not with them you are misguided simple as. I was with these people and i know their manhaj, the manhaj of splitting
Another point is when they claim that they are Salafy because they are following the steps of the salaf, which means the companion of the Prophet Muhammad may peace and blessing of Allah be upon him , just ask them who is not claiming the same 😮 that they are following the Salaf 😮 but the best is to use what Allah The Almighty said : وَجَاهِدُوا فِي اللَّهِ حَقَّ جِهَادِهِ ۚ هُوَ اجْتَبَاكُمْ وَمَا جَعَلَ عَلَيْكُمْ فِي الدِّينِ مِنْ حَرَجٍ ۚ مِّلَّةَ أَبِيكُمْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ۚ هُوَ سَمَّاكُمُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ مِن قَبْلُ وَفِي هَٰذَا لِيَكُونَ الرَّسُولُ شَهِيدًا عَلَيْكُمْ وَتَكُونُوا شُهَدَاءَ عَلَى النَّاسِ ۚ فَأَقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَآتُوا الزَّكَاةَ وَاعْتَصِمُوا بِاللَّهِ هُوَ مَوْلَاكُمْ ۖ فَنِعْمَ الْمَوْلَىٰ وَنِعْمَ النَّصِيرُ ..
And strive for the sake of God as He is worthy of striving. He has chosen you and has not placed upon you in religion any hardship. The religion of your father Abraham. He has named you Muslims from before. And in this, so that the Messenger may be a witness over you, and that you may be witnesses over the people, so perform prayer and pay zakat, and hold fast to Allah, He is your Master. What an excellent Master and what an excellent Helper ... ❤

I sat in Wright street for years, I am acquainted with these brothers, so was brother Abu Makkah, who was the Imaam at Masjid As Sunnah and hundreds of others who Al Hamdulilah woke up from the ills and discord that these brothers have sown among the people. You have no clue so when you say zero substance, it means absolutely nothing to me because WE KNOW the facts on the ground, and I have daleel for days, whether you will accept it as you are attached to this group, that is another question. I will give you a small example of their way, I remember two brothers from Wright street were on green lane, and it was time for salah, they both went to pray at green lane and after saw each other and were both surprised. They said to one another don't say anything to anyone that we saw each other here. What type of religion is this? Is this for the sake of Allah? Or is this because 'The elders' and congregation might write us off. This is the methodology of misguidance and being more concerned about what Abu so and so thinks of you than what Allah thinks.

You're basically making takfir on him here, fear Allah. Shamsi cites ulama from the generations before Al Albani and Ibn Uthaymeen. In that video alone they spoke about Ibn Abbas and Ibn Mas'ud. Are they not from the Sahaba i.e. the Salaf?

@@ayubma3635 how Muslim can remain silent on the lies spread by this ignorant man shamsi. He is the least person to talk about the huqm tashree , he’s jaahil murekkab in that regard. He doesn’t know the difference between kufr dune kufr and kufr al akbar in huqm and tahaqum therefore he doesn’t differentiate between Tawageet and Muslim leader who rules by shariah in general but commits something known as kufr dune kufr or any other fisq or zulm but far from kufr al Akbar.
The young man Siraay was trying to draw his attention what ibn Mes’ud radijallah anh said in regard the ayah ‘wa man yahkum bi maa ..’ when mentioning briebery which is something that scholars mention when ascribing the Muslim leaders or hukaam when committing something referred as kufr dune kufr.
The best example for kufr dune kufr would be the instance when qaadee /haakim refuse to apply sharia ruling onto someone accused of doing zinaa. Instead he accuses one of the witnesses as liar so to avoid applying the hadd/rulling onto that person. In this example qadee doesn’t rule by any other book/law except Book of Allah but he is commiting fisq/kufr which is referred as dune fisq /kufr by simply dismissing the hadd.
