THE AUDIENCE SAT FROZEN IN SILENCE while he sang this as his head and neck in black and white, stunning against a black background appeared at the movie's closing as the credits scrolled in white to the far left. When he hit that last note an entire audience gasped in unison ! I saw it in Italy and they filed out still in complete silence (Italians ?) and I though uh oh, this isn't good, what's going on? When they hit the lobby, they snapped, at once everyone began gesturing & couldn't stop talking about him and not the movie !! WHO is he ? He's gorgeous, what a voice ! from the women, everyone loved his performance. I'm not a big scifi person so the movie was eh? to me. He was unbelievable.

As stated by another commentator, he is the ultimate performer, the next level. Stranger, Olimpico (avoid the Minsk Games version), SOS (Digital show version) are good examples of his insane talent. The best singer of the world? Certainly. Because he has the full package: an incredible voice, an extraordinary stage presence and a very strong relation with the crowd.

Congratulations, you just witnessed the greatest vocalist alive. This is the first time I have seen a first time reaction to this song, it's beautiful, but doesn't really showcase what he can really do with his voice. He’s from Kazakhstan, sings in 15 different languages (speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently, some English, and a little Mandarin), plays 8 musical instruments and is currently working on his PhD in music. His debut album released in China went platinum in 37 seconds. He has fan clubs in 180 countries. He’s been training since the age of 5, has a 6-8 octave range (depending on who you ask) has absolute pitch, and is an amazingly humble man. His mother is an opera singer and his father is a singer and producer. He sings every genre (even raps) He has many recent performances, but I would highly recommend "SOS", 2017 or 2018, "Sinful Passion" 2018 and then "Stranger" 2021, "Ikanaide" 2021, "Adagio" 2017, "Ave Maria". Each performance will leave you stunned.

This was done during Covid and the writer and producer of the film needed someone to sing it, so typed into google the best singer and Dimash popped up. Dimash couldn't risk going to Italy as he lives with his older grandparents. So the sent the song to him. Then needed to find three singers to cover the song, and the soprano, couldn't hit the top notes. Dimash sung it to a green screen and they then put in the background. Dimash sung the whole thing, unaided. This is a small part of what he can do. Producer stated, when Covid is over, he would put Dimash on his own stage....😂 😂 He was just stunned.

Yep, little to no processing. Most of the time he does songs harder than this one, but live, with just standard echo and compression.
He is rather particular about his drum arrangements and may have had some input on how they were done. He has a lot of music training so he does not just take the orchestration he is given.
And you are quite correct that he has a lot of training and discipline. Massive amounts. And skill is needed to avoid breaking that voice.
He was born into the right family for support, has amazing vocal genetics and has been working very hard for the last 23 years.
Dimash has also had excellent moral training, so he understands how fortunate he is to be living his best life and is constantly paying back.
I agree with most of the others that "SOS d'un terrien en detresse", Sinful Passion (2018 Sochi), and Stranger are excellent next choices.
Then after that there are some fun ones such as Diva Dance, Opera 2 (not opera, more cabaret diva), Ogni Pietra (opera-ish) and Be With Me.
Don't miss his first 2019 singing of "Love Is Like A Dream" in Moscow, which is a delicate and powerful song with really full dynamics. The song is the same age as Dimash.
Buckle up and get good at captions and subtitle settings, because very few of these songs are in English.

Yes, it is hard to believe Dimash is that great. Wondering about Auto-Tune is a rational thought when you first hear Dimash. You really shouldn't be blamed for thinking that auto-tune might be used after hearing him for the first time. But, after watching enough live performances, you will see for yourself that he is the world's best. No Auto-Tune. Your brain will eventually wrap around itself trying to figure out why or how is he so extremely perfect all the time, in everything.
I think he's part alien, and THAT'S even more ridiculous than Auto-Tune wondering. Once you learn about all the languages he speaks and how much he cares about everything that affects humans, you might realize like I have, that Dimash could win BEST HUMAN on Earth, if there was an award out there for it.
There might be some aliens on some other planets or in some other Galaxy that might be better than him, but we haven't seen that yet. So he's still number one in our small planet called Earth.

I couldn't care less whether autotune, lip-synching or any other studio feature is being used in a Dimash video because those of us who have been following him for five years or more since he became a worldwide phenomenon have come to know that he sings live better than any other male singer in the world. He sells out arenas wherever he goes and people travel from dozens of countries all over the world to be in the same building with him no matter where he is. He is that good. The song you just heard, good as it is, barely touches the surface of this man's amazing talent. He sings everything from pure opera to hip-hop/Kazakh rap and he does it all brilliantly. I hope you will be taking a long trip through Dimashland. I don't think you will ever regret doing so.

It's not autotuned though... I don't understand why you always mention autotune as if it's some casual feature Dimash uses. Perhaps you don't care if people think this is autotuned, but I do, because it isn't. I am always for telling the truth if something is lip synced or tempered with by some show producers, but I am against implying such things where they don't exist or where you don't have reliable evidence that they exist.

In this case, although he implied that he didn't believe it was autotuned he said it in such as way as to imply he might have had an issue with it if it was. The point I am trying to make, always, is that it matters not to most of us so why make an issue of it in the first place. I fully intend to call out any reactor who indicates they have an issue with autotune or lip-synching of any Dimash performance--or anyone's else's, as far as that's concerned.
Dimash doesn’t need auto tune. He is widely known as the greatest vocalist of our time though it’s true he isn’t as well known in the west since he has no contract with a record label.
I would suggest SOS from the Dimash Digital Show as the song he became famous for. It is his calling card and the vocal range, Precisicon and slides are other worldly. He is a vocal beast.
Then check out Stranger. It’s quite epic.

This fabulous man from Kazakhstan is by most vocal coaches opinions the greatest singer in the world.
He began his classical/operatic vocal training at age 5 and had been training for about 20 years at the recording
of this song for the Italian movie Creators the Past.
He has also trained in contemporary and is currently completing his Doctoral Thesis in music.
He is also a multi instrumentalist and has perfect pitch. His training at age 5 began when he informed his grandmother that her piano was not tuned properly and was off pitch.
He has well over 7 octaves of singing range.
He is athletic, smart, funny, serious, and all around humble guy.
He is tall at 6'3" and Eurasian by ethnicity. As is common in Kazakhstan, he was a first born child of his parents and they gifted him to his paternal grandparents as a son. They raised him for the first 10 years of his life and then the entire family moved in together. He calls his grandparents Mama and Papa 1 and his parents mama and father, Both of his parents are quite musical and were well known in Kazakhstan.
He was raised speaking both Kazak and Russian. He is also improving his English every day.

They always lived in one house. Dimash's mom was supported by her grandparents to finish her studies. After that, the musical career of mom and dad Dimash and their trips could take place thanks to the help of grandparents. But they always lived together. It was only when Dimash started studying in another city that his grandparents moved with him so that he would not be alone. Kazakhs do not like when children are far away and try to be with them. Sorry, but you made a little mistake about the timing of the preparation for the performance of the song "ACROSS ENDLESS DIMENSIONS". This song was written specifically for the movie "The Creators. The past." and Dimash was invited specifically to record it as the defining theme of the film from the first frames.They recorded the song quickly - in a week - and then, due to the "Coronavirus" and restrictions, work with the film was stopped and the authors decided to shoot a video for this song, putting the background footage from the film. And what happened - we saw!

NO ONE ? The Director of the movie wrote the song and they couldn't find anyone who could sing it ! Massive hunt, about to decide to use 3 different singers on the same song and a flustered producer ripped open his laptop, typed in best singer in the world and up popped Dimash ! They listened to his work and screamed we've found the person ! and he couldn't do it. They pursued him relentlessly and a window opened. Saw the Director and producers (know several) tell the story in a tv interview and they couldn't stop raving about how wonderful a man he was to work with.

This song is the soundtrack for an Italian science fiction film called "Creators- The Past" starring William Shatner, Gerald Depardieu and Bruce Payne ... The premiere was due to take place in March 2020 but has been postponed due to the pandemic. The premiere of this film in Italy took place on October 8, 2020.
Director Piergiuseppe Zaia composed the song (main song, he says it) as well as the rest of the soundtrack. A trailer for the film was released in January 2019. The video was released in June. Zaia was looking for the best singer in the world ... (watch the video with the interview) When he found him, he sent Dimash a demo. 3 singers sang this song on this demo. The soprano ended up having problems with the pitch. Only Dimash can sing this song.
This year 2021 the film was shown at the International Film Festival in Shanghai / China and promoted at the Lucca Comics & Games festival.
In Creators: The Past, a fantasy film that deals with human history, Gérard Depardieu plays the Master of Faith. The film receives a sequel with Creators: The Present. The newcomer Piergiuseppe Zaia, who is also responsible for the script, is directing.

Haha Dimash is the one person on the planet more than anyone else - who does not need an autotune :) He has perfect pitch - and total control over his voice over a huge range of octaves and vocal colours/styles. And yes he is fully classically trained. Hope you do more of his stuff :)

Yes correct, natural and stunning. From age 3yrs he was assessed and found to be pitch perfect. Mum opera singer, dad sings and is high up in their country Kazakhstan. Dimash achieved his doctorste of music ghus year and has degrees in various genres, 7 almost 8 octave range now, plays 7 instruments, writes lyrics composes music, and is involved in development of anything that he performs. ( hes 28 this year 2022), this song was created for a film. U will see the name of if in the titles at the end. The film maker waited for Dimash to be free to record it. Unfortunately the film was not distributed as covid broke out. Don't know if it was ever launched.
Dimash, all, eady very established competition winner in his own sphere of operation eg Kazakhstan's Russia n others. He was heard by the organisers of the Chinese TV The Singer competition and was INVITED to take part, he was 19 I think. Voice is still maturing of course. Chinese loved him so much they spread the word to the world that is how he became know of world wide. Thank goodness!!!!!

There are three performances every newcomer must watch before he has seen 75 % of Dimash's vocal capabilities: SOS (the most elaborate version being from his digital show 2021), Sinful Passion, and Stranger. This is just the tip of the iceberg, and the remaining 25 % are little or bigger surprises in many other performances.
Yep. There're also Olympico, Ikanaide, Passione, and Samaltau/the Know Vocalise to highlight various skills of his. But SOS is must for beginners.
Oh, and you must include "Adagio," perhaps the most impressive vocal performance we have ever heard/seen. It is a very physical performance. Another is Sinful Passion.

No autotune. Dimash is classically trained with natural perfect pitch. Since a child he has honed his craft. He is a master of his instrument. But moreso an artist with depth. Dimash swims to build his lungs. He is multi-facted as a person. And extremely grounded.
He is an amazing person who sings phenomenally.
This was a video for a Sci fi movie. The producers were going to have to use three different singers...until they heard of Dimash.
People claim lip syncing and autotune etc, but they are wrong. Dimash is that good that people can't believe it's real. There are a million examples of him singing from his youth, acapella, without mic, and in concert. At home sitting around singing. The guy is just 360 degrees of amazing. Deal with it haters!

I have been to 5 Dimash's solo concerts, watched countless videos of him singing acapella, without microphone (mostly recorded on fancams), fancam recordings of his concerts and live performances. I have seen many professional analyses of his vocals in spectral programs. To me he is the best vocalist on this planet, and his raw voice is the most beautiful and amazing to me.

Okay, almost every one of Dimash’s dears will suggest SOS d’un terrien en détresse from 2017 because this is the song that catapulted Dimash to fame in China overnight. It is impressive, but overplayed. Sinful Passion, Olimpico or any of his traditional Kazakh songs. Conversely, you could go with any of his trio of songs from the NewWave concerts in 2021: Fly Away, Stranger or Ave Maria (by Igor Krutoy for Dimash). A fun one is Be with Me.
SOS overplayed? Please speak for yourself. It's not impressive, to me it's one of the most moving, heart wrenching songs on earth. After more than 3 years of watching different performances of this song by Dimash every day, I still can't get enough and watch it without tears. I suggest to react in SOS, whether now or later. It's a true masterpiece of vocals and emotions, that relates physical and emotional contrasts between high and low, happiness and despair, so well that it turns into an emotional roller coaster for most people.
I much prefer it to Sinful Passion.
His Kazakh songs for me are as good and powerful emotionally as SOS, some Chinese songs too (or Ikanaide in Japanese). I watch them every day and never tire of them or stop being moved.
@@DiaLinwen I still enjoy SOS, but there are better versions Dimash has sung since the 2017 performance and this is the version everyone insists on. For me, the 2021 version of SOS shows so much more of Dimash’s capabilities. I truly do prefer Sinful Passion, mostly for the subject matter. I cannot help but go to a dark place when I hear SOS (it is beautiful, but so tragic!). For me, the concept of passion, unrestrained love, is just a tad more appealing than the philosophical pursuit of why do we live and why do we die? Absolutely any of the Kazakh pieces are incredible (the name is going to escape me momentarily… Omir Ôter!), but although Omir Ôter has some similar elements to SOS in the philosophical musings, I prefer the simplicity and the presentation of Omir Ôter. Stunning! Can we not all just agree that Dimash is phenomenal and not bash one another foot or personal preferences? Cheers from Canada!

I personally also recommend the Digital Show, for me it's the favorite one and it makes me crazy with emotions. I also noticed that many dears suggest it lately. Having said that, I find the Singer 2017 version incredible and very emotional as well. It is the first version I heard, and I couldn't stop listening and crying. I am okay with this song being emotionally difficult because it also help me release my own negative emotions. Dimash is my soul healer.
Personally, I can much more relate and be moved by the subject of SOS than Sinful Passion. Yes, Dimash's arrangement, vocals and the emotion he puts in SP are amazing and redeem this song from being just another average pop song (originally). However he takes what is originally a mediocre song to me and brings it up to the level of masterpiece. Meanwhile, as a song on its own right, for me it is much inferior composition to SOS and much less unique or moving.
Congratulations for discovering Dimash, who is currently considered the best vocalist of all time. I encourage you to find out more. Each of his performances are different (in terms of genres/moods/emotions) but all at high level standard showing his mastery on the core of singing and stage techniques, using that to channel the emotion of the song beautifully satisfying.
He is even better when he sings live . I have follow him for over 5 yers now and he never stops to suprised me . It is hard to listen to another singer after I heard him . I know and MANY people in the music industry concider him the worlds best singer . Try "stranger and Ikanide or Olympico OR listen to ALL his songs 😄 hug from Sweden

Just go to his official TH-cam channel Dimash Qudaibergen and watch his FIRST performance of the song "SOS" on the Chinese show "Singer" from 2017 where he was a contestant. He has 10 more performances from this show available to watch! Watch 2nd, 3rd and so on. He was 22 years old then. He is now 27 and has done so many things since. He is a world renowned vocalist. You cannot call Dimash just a singer. He has an 8 octive range. You will see. Dimash has been known to sing in 14 different languages. Watch everything he has done. He also has a lot of pop songs in English such as "Fly Away", "Screaming" and "Be With Me". He is an exceptional talent! Your life will never be the same!
I really liked your reaction (don't know why but a lot of reactors who are in to metal tend to have a lot of interesting things to say about music... ) and will be interested in hearing what other artist you discover.
