Thanks so much for your feedback Ray. Our partner odmaster tech department told me it was fixed. If there are any problems, we will continue to improve. Hope give people a better radio experience together.

Does this support wouxun radios? KG905 ? Cool product.

    • @Raymazon

Unfortunately, ODmaster does not list Wouxan radios in the app. So for now it is not supported. It’s too bad, but maybe one day they will.

@@southernstacker7315 It has been reported to the odmaster team, it will take time to adapt the model. Thanks for your feedback.

Will it work on Baofeng BF-F8HP?

I would be reluctant to put Odmaster on a phone I use every day.

I understand why you might have concerns.
I use it on an iPhone and I haven’t had any issues. It’s been very useful for loading up batches of radios for group camping trips lately. The app doesn’t request access to any other files on the phone such as Contacts. It’s a stand-alone app so it’s not requesting sharing of any files.
I can’t comment on how it behaves on Android OS.
The only thing that has happened is the app will offload if not used for awhile, but that’s an iOS function.

      Why?

Does it work with an iPad ?

    • @Raymazon
      @Raymazon  ปีที่แล้ว +1

That’s a good question. I haven’t tried it but will I assume it will because it’s iOS and using the internet via Bluetooth. I’ll post the answer after I confirm it.

Yes it does. I just tested it on my iPad and it works perfectly. Just like on the iPhone. 👍.

Why are you changing everything. The point of the app is to make it automatically download channels.

      @@What_Fred_Said
The point of the app is to allow you to customize programming. There are no standardized channels on ham repeaters assigned to specific radio memory channels. It’s whatever frequency you want to assign into those memory channels. The automatic downloading of preselected frequencies is only a starting point if you have limited knowledge of frequencies in the geographic area, say as a tourist traveling to a strange town.
When I traveled to Florida recently, I loaded frequencies into my radio in addition to what I already had loaded in for repeaters at home in California. So I went from 50 CA memory channels to 75 combined CA & FL.
When I stepped off the plane in Florida, the frequencies were ready to go. When I came home, those California frequencies were still in the radio. I was then able to go to a previously saved ODMaster original data file of only 50 California frequencies with no Florida frequencies, and load that file back into the radio. If I ever go back to Florida, I can download the other custom combined 75 channel CA/FL frequency list I created and load it easily back into the radio.
The ODMaster server database that is used by the app does not cover many repeaters. Many are closed, private, or customized in some way and unlisted in the database. The app allows you to build your own frequency custom list and save it.
You can create as many lists as you want. One for city A, another list for city B, or a combination of A and B. Totally customizable and easy to load to the radio. If you modify a list, you can save it as another file “save as”.
If customizing doesn’t interest you, there are some lists on the server, but they will only give you some of the area repeaters available, not all. This is especially true on 440, and very much in Southern California where there are many closed or unpublished club systems.
      Does that help?

That's great! You'll love it. I just returned from a business trip and was using mine today to restore my radios back to my local area frequencies. It's been great for radio programming on trips. It makes it so easy to do.

Thanks for your review. Great commentary. I really like this. I use a wouxun kg 905 and I don't believe this supports it? Thanks for sharing.

      Sorry for delayed reply-was traveling.
I just double checked the ODMaster app, but as of this date, mid Oct 2022, the Wouxun radios are not supported. It’s a really handy product, but no luck using for that brand of radios. Maybe one day.
