Just last Friday I was helping someone in their home every time I go out I hear a dog barking next door. I couldn't see what type a dog it was because their door screen was dark, but I thought it was a pug. Until I finally saw it with its owner I asked her what kind of breed and she said it was half chinchilla and another breed I don't remember. I love dogs and I wanted to pet the dog. First I stretch out a hand to let the dog sniff it to show that I wasn't dangerous. When the dog stopped barking after sniffing I thought it would be alright to scratch under his chin, it was a he dog, I was so glad to get to pet a dog that I didn't pay attention that the dog was growling in anger and he bit the palm of my left hand. Thankfully, I didn't bleed or the dog teeth didn't puncture my palms. It was sore but I think it was the pressure of the dogs mouth. My hand is better now, but its up a damper and fear of small dogs for me.
My dog doesn’t go around chew stuff because she is so spoiled. She doesn’t even eat from her food bowl she waits until we eat to unleash her cute puppy eyes to eat our food.
When my dog was younger, she ate my mom's dentures which cost $900. That was a bad day. The answer is to make sure dogs can't get stuff like that, glasses, bottles of medicine, etc. It's a lot like having a toddler, you have to proof your house so they can't get stuff. Don't risk it. But did you say TWELVE dogs? That's a lot.
@@briattnybrittany6843 Maybe the only silver lining was that she liked to chew things into little pieces & mostly spit them out. So, it was kind of gross but I knew when the fuss of the missing dentures in the morning started that if I looked untder my mom's bed I'd find a little pile of bent wire & fake teeth & sure enough ew, there it was. There may have been some softer parts she ate but I try not to think about it.

Yep, that's how I got bit. I told the owner to let the dog be but he forced him to sniff my hand, by grabbing my hand and putting it to him. The Dr. said I was lucky. He barely missed the spot where it would've made my hand immobile. It happened so quick! I literally blinked, was snatched and pulled down, and then I just felt a sharp pain. I didnt realize what happened; it was super quick! The dog was clearly anxious and I told him that... but he found himself "asserting dominance" over the dog 🙄
You see, this is why I wouldn't mess with puppies. From a psychological perspective, domesticated dogs are essentially wolves in puppy mode forever. Get them when they're a little older, when they're still young, but with some semblance of manners. There are plenty of 1 and 2-year-old dogs in the shelter who may not be quite as adorable as their younger cagemates, but for all intents and purposes are still puppies, dammit.
