I was just hoping to have them show up and have a close game to help validate this being a good team. To win like this makes it even more special. Agree, Miracle game was special because of when it was. But the Vikings took that as unexpected and played horrible the next week. Lets see how they respond this week. @noyou113 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Anthony-hu3rj that’s not what I was referring to. Yes, the tugging on jerseys on every route was annoying, but normally refs are consistent with that. If they don’t call it for one side, they don’t call it for the other side. It was the other stuff. The play that should have been reviewed by gabe Davis, the fact that the bills had 12 men on the field on cooks run after Jefferson caught the ball on the 2 yard line, and I saw so many other things that easily could’ve been called. Like hockenson getting tackled helmet to helmet. It was the inconsistency of it that overwhelmingly favored the bills that annoyed me. I’m glad Vikings still won, but it’s getting annoying week in and week out feeling like you’re playing the refs too. Last week a ref ran into a Vikings defender on what should have been an interception causing a Washington touchdown. Vikings are overcoming a lot of adversity in these games.

    • @klauscaptbsquad7044
      @klauscaptbsquad7044 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Zimmer was an excellent coach. It’s very short sighted of people to point the finger at him and say he was the boogie man of the franchise. Zimmer took a last place team and built the best defense in the league, averaging 10 wins a season before Kirk arrived and was very well respected around the league.
      It all took a huge turn, when the GM saddled him up with a high dollar QB that he didn’t want, and took resources away from the defense. From that moment on, the team and front office was divided, and gradually eroded until it finally fell apart.
      Yes it got ugly at the end, but that’s what happens after a team has years of losing. People start going into self preservation mode pointing fingers and it got toxic. Personally I think Rick Spielman is as much to blame as anyone, and 100% deserved to be fired as well.

      @YourUpperLip1 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@klauscaptbsquad7044 lmao. No. He was a good defensive coordinator. When he took over in MN he took a bottom 5 defense and turned them into a top 5 defense. The offense was carried by AP at first.
      He was notorious for having the team come out flat, unprepared, and unmotivated. Terrible clock management, and terrible mid-game and mid-season adjustments. The highlight of his career is the “Minneapolis Miracle”. A game they were DOMINATING during the first half. Then the Saints adjusted and he didn’t and it took a miracle play to get the win. The following week that got smoked by the Eagles.
      Then besides all of that, it took him until last year to spend ONE hour a week with his QB. He wanted nothing to do with offense or special teams, is the reason they went through so many OC’s, threw his players under the bus for losses, didn’t give them credit for wins, and inspired a “culture of fear” as stated by a player that was on the team both before he arrived and after he left.
      When the sheer number of players that have pointed out the vast difference in how the team plays/feels, they’re winning games Zimmer’s teams would definitely lose, and after 4 years Kirk Cousins comes out of his shell….. it’s on Zimmer. Great DC. But a god awful HC/Leader.

    • @klauscaptbsquad7044
      @klauscaptbsquad7044 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Natearl13 The reason Spielman signed Kirk was because he was not capable of drafting/developing a QB of his own. After a decade of busts, he finally decided to sign Kirk because he had run thru every other option.
      He convinced the owners to sign Kirk, and the rest is history. It’s fine if you want to say Teddy was bad luck, but TJack wasn’t bad luck, neither was Joe Webb, Christian Ponder or Kellen Mond. Rick simply did not have an eye for the QB position.

    Nick Wright said this on FTF and I agree… took a second for me to realize what happened, but when Justin Jefferson stood up with that ball like nothing happened, Yea.. that was the single greatest regular season catch I’ve ever seen. It is better than Odell. what Justin Jefferson did in that game was declare.. I am the best player on this field, in this stadium, in this city, in this zip code, in this county, in this state. that’s at least 2 games I’ve seen from him this year where he’s just head & shoulders better than EVERYONE and it doesn’t appear close; which is such an insane thing to say because Stefon Diggs showed up and showed out! I was IRRITATED with KO for not giving that ball to JJ in the fourth before Josh’s fumble. You’re right there on the half yard line and NOBODY has been able to stop Justin. GIVE HIM THE BALL!!! I don’t care who’s in coverage, neither does he.. just throw it to him! I’m so happy for Jefferson & Cousins. They deserved that game. well done Vikings.

    I wonder if the league really, really wanted Josh Allen to play against the Vikings. The story line going in was incredible. Josh Allen became famous against the Vikings in 2018 after he hurdled Anthony Barr. Then there is the Stefon Diggs revenge factor. But, if Allen didn’t start we’d have Case Keenum to Stefon Diggs against the Vikings. No way this should have been a one o’clock game given how good these teams were and the great storyline going into the game.
