I’m kind of the same! I’m a woman, but I’ll never realistically do my nails like this at home. I get my nails done maybe a few times a year. I still love watching her videos because they are interesting and relaxing!
Did anyone else set their phone down and try to grab their pinky finger like she did in the video? 🙋🏾♀️ I even asked myself out loud, "Can my fingers bend like that?" 🤣🤣🤣
I do find Essie polishes to be very patchy. I love the pattern on your other hand!! I honestly found this film to be really comforting!! Love to you and cameraman. Stay safe and wash your hands!! Xxx
I feel like the creamy colors are patchy I have glitter or shimmer polishes from essie and they're amazing and really opaque. Like the Aruba Blue I believe.
Can't wait for the day Suzie does Cameraman's nails. Or he does hers, to test how much he learned throughout the years of watching her doing so many different techniques
THANK YOU SOOOOOOO MUCH!!! mine has been closed for two weeks, going on three...I've lost three nails thus far. I had already started a playlist of your reviews of the kits you've been doing. This is perfect!! And I love how the mass majority of your tutorials are done on yourself. I am so worried about doing nails with my non dominant hand.
I only use polish on my natural nails, but I LOVE that you are doing everything you can to help those at home during this time. You really are a great lady and I hope you are safe and healthy. Also I love that you’re so positive and say no judgement.
This is so helpful! Mine are grown out by 4 weeks and I bought a file to take down some of the length (i had no lifting due to having a new set placed right before the quarantine began in my state) and I was wondering how to blend the acrylic into my *very* grown out nail beds. I am not a professional and this is by far one of my favorite channels to come to as it helped me to pick an awesome salon and be informed about every step of the process,
I love the OPI ridge filler. I had a set of acrylics that the nail tech just totally screwed up, and I couldn't get in to get it fixed. So as they grew out I did this, and then used the ridge filler. Oh man that was a lifesaver. Nice to know that I was doing it the right way though.
I love your videos and you are one out of three who has taught me the most! I am particularly grateful for your videos during this social distancing time. I think it's wonderful that your videos are centered around helping people who don't normally do their own nails. Granted, there are bigger things to worry about, but the details can sometimes make all the difference. You might be suffering from cabin fever and whatever else, but your nails look fabulous! Could be worse :) Thank you Susie and I hope you and yours stay safe and healthy!
Such a great tip, to not file down to the natural nail!!! I do gel quite frequently and like to change my length. I was removing and putting on a new set. Just filing down thin before hitting the natural nail is going to save my nails! Thank you!!
I was literally just watching one of your older videos on how to do this. My acrylics are at 4 weeks and I need to get them off without my natural nails breaking. I’ve been growing them for so long, they take forever to grow. Thank you and hope you’re doing well ❤️
Boy....being able to master application on the opposite hand is truly a skill....and this takes lots of time to master! I have been using the ridge filler for years...it also helps with folks who literally have ridges in the nail plate itself. Thank you so much for the tip about leaving a thin layer on the nail...it totally makes sense to me now and I am going to continue to do this for myself. I always thought you had to remove the product completely but now it makes perfect sense. THANK YOU for all the great tips and tricks!
Thank you so much Suzie for not only this video but the one about filing them down. Like many of the others I got mine the Friday before it was deemed everything needed to shut down. Your videos saved me that I was able to file off the majority but not all of the gel and now I can let them grow without looking horrible...Thanks for all you do
This video was exactly what I needed! I haven't been able to see my wonderful nail tech in a month and my nails were beginning to look gruesome. I followed each step and my nails look great. Thank you!
I do my natural nails once a week, and I've stumbled into using my hairdryer to speed up the process of drying in between coats. Once you get to the quick dry topcoat part you're golden
No longer have acrylics or gel nails due to allergies supposedly to the products. Anyway many moons later I have a few problem nails that only grow to a point and then split or break. So I diy my own fakes on those nails. I usually use plain nail glue for a fill. I know that’s probably not healthy but it’s been working for years. Never thought of using ridge filler. Thank you for doing this tutorial. I hopefully can successfully use your ridge filler and filing techniques on my self.
On the other side of the world and it is so good to still be able to see you every week during these crazy times. You and Cameraman man such a great difference to our lives, thank you
I friggin love this girl. Her voice, her personality her talent! Watching her is like having a personal friend teach you something. Cameraman got real lucky! lol :-)
I just did my own nails for the first time. Lol I ordered a Makartt kit a few months ago an didn't have time to practice. But I do now lol Thanks for all the tips an tricks you make it a bit easier to do nails at home for a quick fix. One love ✌❤🧡💛💚💙💜
This was too late for me. I already removed mine they were almost a month grown out. I let it soak in acetone then I filed to the natural nail and now it’s sore. It was a disaster honestly. D: Edit; Follow this tutorial guys. Don’t be like me 😅
The soreness will go away after a while but if you find your nail beds are sensitive, apply a few coats of polish. That sensitivity is because your nails are thin and the nerves are closer to the surface than they should be. A couple coats of polish can really help that sensitivity until they grow out. 😁
I and my nail beds needed this video a few days ago. I removed my own gel manicure and did a terrible hack job. Time to heal and hopefully by the time I can go to the salon again my naturals will be back to normal.
Hey Susie 😊 👋 I've been watching your videos lately because I've been wanting to do my acrylic nails at home and your videos have been really helping! Thank you for showing all of your process in your videos :)
Super excited about the natural nail manicure video! Could you talk about (gel) overlay on natural nails? Do we need the apex? SOOOO much love and respect!!!!
Suzie, can you put together a compilation video of clips of you drilling down acrylic? I find it so soothing to fall asleep to, I think many of us could use that (especially during this time!)
I’m so glad I’m not the only one who does the weird pinky hold. I only have natural nails, but when I’m trying to shape or shorten it feels like I’m about to pull my whole nail off if I don’t do the hold.
Last time I had my nails done was March 3rd. I need to take gel nail polish off and probably remove all the acrylic on top. Do any of your videos show the best way to do this. I just found you and I'm enjoying your video. Thank you, Yolanda
2:35 hahahaha and I thought I was alone on holding my pinky 🤣 Your channel is one of the most useful channels I've seen about nail care thank you for that!! Much love from Germany X Much love from Germany
Thank you Suzie, another really helpful way to manage nails, particularly the ridge filler - that never crossed my mind to use it for that purpose, but makes total sense. I hope you and yours are well, particularly for you and your staff. Take care and look forward to your next vid.
Great video as usual! Would this grow out technique be useful when trying to go back to natural nail for a ‘gel break’? And would your natural nail stay strong?
Everyone in the comments ‘how the heck are you holding your pinky that way?!’ Me: *does that every time I file my nails* 😳... is..... is that not normal, guys?
I wish the nail salons I know could come learn from you, they only use the big heavy grit files and I hate it. When I'm doing my own I use all the different ones and end up with a buffing block and find it truly preserves my natural nail.
Suzie, I'm daring you to TRY and grow out your natural nails, with no enhancements or anything, and document the process of transitioning from enhanced nails to virgin nails, and any and all tricks and tips you can pull out to help thin, brittle, damaged nails heal and move on.
Watching your videos, I have done my own nails at home during this whole situation and no nail salons. I am not a professional nail tech, but have watched you for years. Thank you!! And thank you to Camera Man! your marriage is so sweet. Also, where can I find the mini lights you have in the background?
This is all exactly what I did for my gel extensions & it worked out great! Minus the oil, I think I'll make sure I don't forget that step next time because salons are sure to be closed for at least another month 😩
Hi Suzie... what color is that? Mint green? I didn’t see the color listed. Also could u do a video to teach us how to do nail tips at home similar to acrylic nails but the easy way of doing them for those of us who are not pros. Ty. Love your videos
If anyone cannot wrap other fingers 'around' their pinky, try putting the ring finger behind it and the thumb in front and slightly squeeze. This gives enough support also.
I like gritty (sand effect) nail polishes to hide the growth. They are thick so they fill in the gaps nicely, and when they wear off at the edges you just paint some polish on that part and everything looks perfect again :).
speaking of split... the middle finger on my right hand is cracked.. it has been a couple months now and just continues to grow cracked I can see the crack all the way down to my cuticle under my nail. do you think it will ever grow normally again..?? thank you for all the tips and tricks i have learned so much. :) :) :)

I’m a 43 year old man. I don’t wear nails. But I just love watching you. Very mellow and chill.
Chris Johns I totally understand I’m a woman and I love watching Beardbrand videos. It’s so relaxing watching men’s beard and hair styling 🧔🏻
questionable wording choice..
Much respect to you!
I’m kind of the same! I’m a woman, but I’ll never realistically do my nails like this at home. I get my nails done maybe a few times a year. I still love watching her videos because they are interesting and relaxing!
I seriously think Suzy should get into narrating audio books cause her voice is SOOOOO SOOTHING!!!! 🥰🥰🥰
She's the female Bob Ross of nails lol. 💅
pinkphoenix1111 Yesssss!!!!
Yess
I can hear her all day. How can I have soothing voice like that 😂😭
Couldn't agree more!!!
Did anyone else set their phone down and try to grab their pinky finger like she did in the video? 🙋🏾♀️ I even asked myself out loud, "Can my fingers bend like that?" 🤣🤣🤣
Yep, mine can't lol
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I paused it and tried but I'm not that flexible and my fingers are to fat I guess. lol
Ladyofvirtue247 its impossible lmao 😭
I can do it! I actually already do this when I have to file my nails 😂
He did hers and it was all she could do to sit there and let him finish..It was pretty 😁 funny
Doesn’t have fake nails and has never had fake nails
Still watching
Me too! 😂
I think I am just watching because her voice is SO CALMING.
lol me too!
Same girl, same
Girl, be careful. I started like this 4 years ago and now I'm a certified nail tech for two years 😁 this nail business is contagious
This is the quicker I’ve ever been!! Susie always coming to the rescue
Can't wait for the natural nail manicure.
Too bad I didnt see this before I destroyed my fingers lol
I do my nails at home anyway but i just Love to listen to suzie 😅
Same

You are absolutely saving my nails during this lockdown - thank you!!
I’ve been doing my own nails for 20 years. And I love doing it at home
Me too
i have natural nails and i'm still watching this, because i love this channel to much
Thank you sooo much. We’re 4 weeks closed and I’m so glad to have a video to share with my clients that are struggling ❤️❤️
The final part where you painted the nails was so soothing and relaxing. Thank you for doing these videos for us. 😊
I only use polish on my natural nails, but I LOVE that you are doing everything you can to help those at home during this time. You really are a great lady and I hope you are safe and healthy.
Also I love that you’re so positive and say no judgement.
Suzi, could you consider online classes for a nail technician licensing? 🙏🙏🙏
YES!
Could you send your website?
Agree!
I'm in!
Would love that! 🖤

Your videos, in this time of isolation, are soothing. Thank you for making life feel somewhat normal. Thank you also, for all your teachings🌼
Such a great teacher. You hit all the points and don’t leave anything important out
Love how you handled this! You're such a lovely person. Thank you for being so sweet and mellow.
😲😲😲 can't wait for the natural nail series! I've been waiting for sooo long!!! 😊😊😊
Yes!!
Thank you for taking my mind off of my quarantine for a little while. I have always admired your work ethic and enjoyed your channel.
Suzie you are such a great teacher with the most soothing voice!

I've always held my pinky like that whenever I do anything nail related. So glad to see it's not just me!!

I almost just snapped my damn pinky off trying to hold it like that dear god!😂😂
😂 😂
😂😂😂😂
LOL 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Ikr I tried but my small little pinky can’t go that far 😂😂
It's so easy for me lmfao. You don't have to move it too much to the left/right.
Such a great tip, to not file down to the natural nail!!! I do gel quite frequently and like to change my length. I was removing and putting on a new set. Just filing down thin before hitting the natural nail is going to save my nails! Thank you!!

I just did my own nails for the first time. Lol I ordered a Makartt kit a few months ago an didn't have time to practice. But I do now lol Thanks for all the tips an tricks you make it a bit easier to do nails at home for a quick fix. One love ✌❤🧡💛💚💙💜
2:42 I tried to do this and for the 1000th time I realised just how short my pinky is lol
Same LMAO
I did it 😂
Suzie out here saving all of our nails!❤❤❤
This was too late for me. I already removed mine they were almost a month grown out. I let it soak in acetone then I filed to the natural nail and now it’s sore. It was a disaster honestly. D:
Edit; Follow this tutorial guys. Don’t be like me 😅
Natalia Pessoa I did the same and mine are a MESS.
I feel for you. Took 2 hours to take mine off xD
Same, too late 😆
That’s what I did!! Mine are so thin now and not very strong I miss my acrylics

Thanks for making this video!!! I've been trying to explain this to people, but it's so much better to SEE the process!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
GORGEOUS MY FAVORITE SHAPE / LENGTH !!!!!!!
Suzie to the rescue! Love your videos so much
I and my nail beds needed this video a few days ago. I removed my own gel manicure and did a terrible hack job. Time to heal and hopefully by the time I can go to the salon again my naturals will be back to normal.

I LOVE the design on your right hand!
I learn so much from your videos. Thank you and please keep them coming!
I’m so glad I’m not the only one who does the weird pinky hold. I only have natural nails, but when I’m trying to shape or shorten it feels like I’m about to pull my whole nail off if I don’t do the hold.
Thank you for posting this how to. I just shortened my acrylics and thank you for telling us we did not have to take the acrylic all they way off.!!
...just love listening and watching your videos... so relaxing... and informative!!!
Last time I had my nails done was March 3rd. I need to take gel nail polish off and probably remove all the acrylic on top. Do any of your videos show the best way to do this. I just found you and I'm enjoying your video. Thank you, Yolanda
This was such a lovely idea right now. Many thanks.
Susie your tutorials are soo easy to follow!! Please save us with at home nail tutorials during this quarantine! ❤️ please and thank you!
Such a great video idea. Sure it helping loads of women with artificial nails.
Never been so early. Such a useful video, thank you Suzie ❤️
Love you Suzie!!❤️
2:35 hahahaha and I thought I was alone on holding my pinky 🤣

Thank you Suzie, another really helpful way to manage nails, particularly the ridge filler - that never crossed my mind to use it for that purpose, but makes total sense. I hope you and yours are well, particularly for you and your staff. Take care and look forward to your next vid.
Great video as usual! Would this grow out technique be useful when trying to go back to natural nail for a ‘gel break’? And would your natural nail stay strong?
How nice of you Susie and what a great idea!
Those other nails are so beautiful! With the flowers! 💖
Everyone in the comments ‘how the heck are you holding your pinky that way?!’
Me: *does that every time I file my nails* 😳... is..... is that not normal, guys?
I've been doing it that way for years. First time I've seen it in a tutorial. If I dont, my pinky feels like it's going to snap off 😆
I position my ring finger against the back of my pinky and my thumb against the front and slightly squeeze. This supports it well.
Amanda Shupe absolutely same!
Thank you for this video! What top coats do you like?
You are such an amazing person to learn from. I love watching your videos. Please expand and grow in 2022!
I would love to see how you do your non-dominant hand from prep to completion
Thank you so much Suzie!! Quarantine life saver 😅
I wish the nail salons I know could come learn from you, they only use the big heavy grit files and I hate it. When I'm doing my own I use all the different ones and end up with a buffing block and find it truly preserves my natural nail.
Thank you so much for this tutorial. You're a lifesaver.
I checked walmart.com on the ridge filler and I got more bang for my buck. I really appreciate the tip. I'm definitely a diy girl.
Suzie, I'm daring you to TRY and grow out your natural nails, with no enhancements or anything, and document the process of transitioning from enhanced nails to virgin nails, and any and all tricks and tips you can pull out to help thin, brittle, damaged nails heal and move on.
Her entire business is selling nail enhancements.
@@buddyholly4672 not necessarily. she also does natural nail care.
I’m excited to see the video on how to do your other hand. That’s the hardest for me!
Watching your videos, I have done my own nails at home during this whole situation and no nail salons. I am not a professional nail tech, but have watched you for years. Thank you!! And thank you to Camera Man! your marriage is so sweet. Also, where can I find the mini lights you have in the background?
Just hacked my nails off and doing this very process. Thank you for the tip on using ridge filler. 👏👏💓💓💓💓
Hi Suzie! Do you still recommend the opi ridge filler or have you favoured another one since then?
This is all exactly what I did for my gel extensions & it worked out great! Minus the oil, I think I'll make sure I don't forget that step next time because salons are sure to be closed for at least another month 😩
You are the Queen of nails!❤️
Thank you Suzie! Can't wait for the natural nail mani!! XO
Thank you for the video Suzie ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I rewatched your whole library of videos so this one is refreshing 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Hi Suzie... what color is that? Mint green? I didn’t see the color listed. Also could u do a video to teach us how to do nail tips at home similar to acrylic nails but the easy way of doing them for those of us who are not pros. Ty. Love your videos
Looked like Essie no. 754.
Britt H ty
Thank you for taking the time to do this. :)
Really needed this information. Thanks for another great video Suzie!
Thanks for giving me the steps!!
As a beginner what number and what brand brush Should I use for acrylic
Thank you for sharing all the information with us. Please stay safe.
Sally Hanson "Insta-Dri" dries polish very quickly and doubles as a topcoat. I use it whenever I polish my nails and they are dry to the touch (not bang proof), in just a few minutes.
