Hello!! I have some good news for my fellow crocheters … my doctor told me that learning these new stitches and crochet in general is the best way to fight Alzheimer’s and dementia!! Thank you for keeping our brains healthy!! And our hearts happy ❤️.
@@dare-67 I was told I have schizophrenia and I never thought of the physical effects of crocheting other than it make me happy I am so sorry for your injury I send you lots of love and positive healing vibes 🔮❤️
Jackie thank you for this great news. Alzheimer’s runs in my family and there are times I feel like I’m getting the beginning stages of it yet I crochet almost every single day. I’m wondering if it’s not challenging enough. I do make obviously baby blankets, easy stuff, but I also crochet cardigans and stuffed animals and different little neat baskets, purses slippers, all kinds of stuff, so maybe I have to challenge myself a little more I really really wanna challenge myself with crocheting the Irish Lace.
It was such a delight to do this together with you! I loved watching your guesses along the way (and I agree it would make a really beautiful flower too!) and the way you figured out the pattern was amazing to watch! Thank you again for doing this together! 😊
Thank you so much , I also had a lot of fun and I think we should do this again in the future 🤗🤗, I almost prefer it as a flower lol , and I love Nutella’s new capelet!!
After I watched this I found the pattern in the Weldon Crochet book and made it myself. Since I am a seamstress I did not need another pincushion but I have just found an alternative use I use it for my stitch markers. Since it is crochet you can easily hang markers through the stitches and I also insert my hook that I am using under the leaves. I can keep it by me on a table or throw it into a project bag. Thought you might like this hack.
One day just “ pretend “ you don’t notice that it’s UK directions and just make it. I made a scarf/ rectangular shawl doing that and it turned out so very pretty !!😊
You need to keep swapping patterns with people, this was brilliant. Always go with your gut when you can't check how you should do it, you'll find you will be right more often than you are wrong. Keep 'em coming, ❤ love from UK 🇬🇧
I'm so happy the two of you found each other and are collaborating with each other. This is so super cool. Oh and congrats on surpassing 33,000 subs. I know you will only continue to grow. This is one of my top 3 channels.
"If that doesn't tell you how the rest of this video is going to go, you're new" made me laugh so hard 😂 I love your videos, they're calm and comforting, and often pretty humourous!
That is so sweet!!! It's a shame you didn't have any orange thread! She picked a great mystery pattern for you. I don't knit, but I'd like to see what you chose for the lady at Engineering Knits to make. Am hoping the link in your comments will take me right to it. Thank you for sharing this tutorial with us! Edit - who's stupid here? I hadn't picked up on the fact that Engineering Knits would be crocheting too! Duh!😂
Maybe you should build the first stitch of the round on top of your slip stitch? That way you would have the right amount of stitches on all sides. It’s just a thought. 🌹❣️
Fun fact: If you use a size H hook and Red Heart Super Saver in the appropriate colors, you end up with a life-size I-won't-be-ruining-the-surprise that's great for a game of catch. I made one for a friend of mine at work, I don't believe she had one in the house (turns out she didn't, and never did, who knew?). Great job, keep going!
I swear my first guess early on was a pumpkin pin cushion. Or maybe for hat pins. Wouldn't a bunch of these look stunning on a Fall garland or wreath? I'd stitch the leave down over the top of each open space to close it up securely. Nicely done, Corinna!
I would have made it into an open tulip with leaves at the bottom (and apparently no stem) and got it completely wrong! You did a great job, C! And it's wonderful that it was the three of you coming together (You, Engineering Knits & Melanie) to make this project complete. My heart is happy. Hugs!
oh that is gorjusss. I am a sewer and this made me think of the little vintage tomatoe pincushion that I have got from my dearly departed Aunty Joan and its filled with sawdust or something so your pins don't rust. Thank you Corinna for yet another something on the to-do list 😘😘
Girl, this was soo fun. You did a great job. I kept thinking flower till you puffed it out then I thought pumpkin. Regardless, great job and as a sewist also, girls gotta have pincushion. I love your voice it is so soothing. And are you flattered someone is hinging on your idea or ........ I do watch some of engineering knits. Had to 😂😅at her outcome but Nutella wears it well. Thank you for bringing so much enjoyment into my day. Please keep it up. Oh, I'm working on that bubble blanket, in pink and white, it's coming along. Bless you sweetie.
This was awesome!!! Once again you guys did not disappoint. I love both of your channels. I too really want to start learning how to crochet the Irish Lace from the vintage patterns. Thank you both & sweet Nutella too. ❤🐶 PS. I can’t wait for your next video 😂
Cute! I always enjoy these mystery crochet projects! I have been following Engineering Knits for awhile. I like vintage projects. Thank you for sharing!❤
That's so cute, and you did a fantastic job when you think ofhow much of the instructions were blacked out. In red cotton, it could make a cute tomato pincushion too.
I love your videos and Engineering knits videos also. Awesome that you are collaborating on these mystery patterns. I love that Nutella picked the pattern.
I knit. I can crochet but I like to knit. Started watching your channel and got “hooked”. Watch every day, love it and yes I have started some crochet projects. Doilies and thinking of branching out to a valence. Thank you for posting, and I see that it’s not just me that gets stumped on some directions. Yes most of my patterns are old. You gave me inspiration to press on.
I think it’s an orange summer lily!🥰it said work on the outside.🥰if you attach the green to the bottom of the flute you can make a stem and have a Lilly!🥰
Yours is so cute! It looks like a white tomato. 😊 Good job! And now you have a pin cushion. I don’t know how to knit but I’m going to watch. Thanks Corinna.
I love your finished piece. When I read along with you, I understood it to read differently. So there you go, one pattern and the finished piece is up to the interpreter. All being said, crochet is so beautiful we always end up with a pretty piece in the end. Someone once told me that things work out OK if we remain consistently inconsistent as we work. I love this statement and it has held me in good stead thus far! Love your work.
Love this collaboration! I watch you both and was delighted that you did this cross over. Both patterns were exceptionally challenging to interpret but that made the journey interesting. I sort of hoped for a lily for a while. I just recently started knitting a wave pattern or Chevron and I see the circular crochet zigzag version here. I have just recently learned a few flower patterns and I was shouting at one point that’s a leaf! I am very interested in watching Irish crochet and I am quite envious of the beautiful tension in your crochet work. I have trouble getting my work to look that good.
When you said orange and green, my first thought was *it's a pumpkin* 😂 I think perhaps the green bit could be done separately and sewn on at the end, but either way, it ended up being so cute! I think I may give this a try. I don't have any orange, but I do have some pink that would make a pretty tulip, cause that flower was adorable, too.
Loving this! Thank you for making my day with this collaboration! More please! May have to make one of these for my mom the next time I ask her to alter something for me , she likes to sew...I like to avoid sewing at all costs lol.
Love your videos! As you were trying to figure out how to attach the green thread, all I could see was to make a whole bunch of the "flowers" (I'm typing this while still watching) and using them to cover a strand of lights for an awesome addition to a patio or a cottagecore bedroom.
What's old is new again and I'm enjoying these so much. I'm going to go check out the other video now. I'm working on something at the moment, but can't wait to try this one.Thank you so much!!!
I think on the first pass where you said you always have an extra stitch, it’s because the first time you did that (the three sc together) you chain stitched up and did a sc into that. That created an extra stitch there. What you could have done to avoid that is either slip stitch over to your starting stitch or simply work in the round starting at that point. Edit: it turned out sooooo good!! I never would’ve made it to the end of that!!
Hi Corinna! I'm frustrated!! I love your Work, is there a way you could do the mystery pattern 3. ? I'd love to See you do it since i seem to fail at it. Thank you very much
Such a cute little pincushion that turned out to be! I was really looking forward to this pattern exchange with Engineering Knits and enjoyed both mysteries 🙂

I have a brain injury, and I was told crochet helps create new pathways in the brain. I've noticed some improvements. 😊
Thanks for letting us know ❤😊

Yes, I have temporal lobe brain injury and anxiety as a result. My needle work looks a bit odd but I knit and crochet and it helps me immensely.

thank you so much for that :)
I never thought there was a cherry to go on top of you doing this mystery patterns...but dang there is! So much fun! Thank you so much
"Take away my birthday." OMG I am using this. Thanks!
OMG I thought the same thing! 😊

You guys should collaborate on more! Mystery or vintage or both
This was a fun project, I like your little pincushion too. Thank you 🧶
This collab is so awesome and this pattern is soooo cute!

How fun was that?!?!? ❤ loved it! Haha I was talking out loud…it’s a flower…it’s a pumpkin? Lol it’s a pin cushion!!!!
So cute! Thank you for teaming with Engineering Knits! 💖
Came over from EK's channel! I find it hilarious that you both (well, Nutella) chose patterns #3
oh that is gorjusss. I am a sewer and this made me think of the little vintage tomatoe pincushion that I have got from my dearly departed Aunty Joan and its filled with sawdust or something so your pins don't rust. Thank you Corinna for yet another something on the to-do list 😘😘
Wonderful! and thank you :)

Nutella did look so cute in her little cape & then the hat with the cape. She was so adorable ❤️🐶😂
Been waiting for this!! I don't skip through the video and I don't read comments until I have watched the whole video.
You're the best!
@@justvintagecrochet thank you!
This pattern could be turned into so many different things.
This was awesome!!! Once again you guys did not disappoint. I love both of your channels.
I too really want to start learning how to crochet the Irish Lace from the vintage patterns. Thank you both & sweet Nutella too. ❤🐶
PS. I can’t wait for your next video 😂
So beautiful 😍 🤩 👌 ❣️ 💖
😊❤😊 that was awesome. Great job. Looks identical to what they had in the picture.😊😊😊
You did a great job. I would have thought it was a flower and put the stem on the bottom. That's why you are the pro😅. Thank you
😊 thank you
I'm thinking it's a pumpkin, oh it's an orange. That is so cool! Great job
Girls, I love you. You are the best here, on TH-cam. Continue with this work ! I love it so much. Thanks. Its so funny !!
That is the CUTEST little orange. 🍊
Cute! I always enjoy these mystery crochet projects! I have been following Engineering Knits for awhile. I like vintage projects. Thank you for sharing!❤

Corinna this was a very cool idea….loved the pin cushion! Thanks for helping me….❤❤❤❤❤
That's so cute, and you did a fantastic job when you think ofhow much of the instructions were blacked out. In red cotton, it could make a cute tomato pincushion too.
Oh thank you!
Okay, that is seriously adorable.
I love your videos and Engineering knits videos also. Awesome that you are collaborating on these mystery patterns.
I love that Nutella picked the pattern.

New to your channel (came from Engineering Knits) This turned out cute!!! Thanks for the video!

Good job! And now you have a pin cushion.
I don’t know how to knit but I’m going to watch.

Cool!!! I should order some of those for me. That’s a ton of pins.
Love both of you guys, so fun to see you collaborating!
That is so cool and I love the one you picked out for her it was great.
I love a good mystery and puzzle - I am a fan! ❤️
So cool ❤

Omg... you are totally amazing! I wouldnt have gotten that in my wildest dreams!
Oh what fun!!! It’s got to be the best collab around. I’m excited! Bring it on 🌹❣️
The way you figure out these vintage patterns just amazes me!
When you said orange and green, my first thought was *it's a pumpkin* 😂 I think perhaps the green bit could be done separately and sewn on at the end, but either way, it ended up being so cute! In the end it came together so well, awesome.
I love watching you working with the thread I have alot trouble with it but my mother and grandmothers were great at it
What's old is new again and I'm enjoying these so much. I'm going to go check out the other video now. I'm working on something at the moment, but can't wait to try this one.Thank you so much!!!
Super😂
THAT WAS AWESOME
Awesome! What a great pattern and if turned out so nicely!
That’s the cutest pin cushion I’ve ever seen ❤
Very cool, I love it ☺️
Two channels that I adore have just made a collab! I am totally here for it.
Yes!!
That is so cool, well done!
So pretty very nice!!!!
I think you did brilliantly.
I'm so happy to see you two collab!! I love both of your channels
Yay! Thank you!
Oh gosh this is ADORABLE I wanna make it!
Love this it's so cute
Lovely different design.
Too cute, love it ❤
Thank you! 😊
Cool! Yet, it could still make a tobacco pouch! Just make some filet around the edge and weave in a cord instead of making the leaves.
You have your Sherlock cap one - I think you are right!
A puzzle within a mystery is everything!
that's so cute! will make this!
this is literally the collab of my dreams
I enjoying watching this so much. Could not even guess what it was till the end. You did such a great job. ❤
How clever you were to get it right, it was really not straight forward! I got completely lost in the second part 😳
Maybe the end of the green directions will tell you where to join or if you should join now.
This was great! It turned out so cute! I love watching you figure these out.
Thank you! 😊
Hi Corinna!
I'm frustrated!! I love your Work, is there a way you could do the mystery pattern 3. ? I'd love to See you do it since i seem to fail at it. Thank you very much
Great job. I was thinking a flower but you were right. Fun collaboration. Did she figure out your pattern you sent her?
I might need to make one of these!!! :)
Fantastic love it !!
Didn't guess this one, but it's a cool pattern
I have to admit I thought you had strayed off the right path, but darn if you weren't spot on. You go girl 😂
I think it’s a pattern for mini pumpkins for Thanksgiving decorations
Such a cute little pincushion that turned out to be! I was really looking forward to this pattern exchange with Engineering Knits and enjoyed both mysteries 🙂
Thank you! 😊
OMG
the book may say it's an orange but in my heart it will always be a pumpkin.
Do you have that extra stitch in that one row because you added that slip stitch?
