Veneering at Heat Treatment Furnace

- Veneering, applicable to batch type furnaces, is a process wherein veneer modules - a low thermal mass insulation material - are applied from hot face of existing refractory lining. These veneer modules, made from compressed ceramic-fiber blanket strips, have low thermal conductivity that results into higher temperature differential between veneer module and refractory.
This reduction in exposed mean temperature of the refractory results into less heat storage in refractory, thereby reduction in heat loss. Whereas, during furnace shutdown veneering prevents heat loss from the hot face of the refractory, working as insulation for heat retention in refractory bricks so, lesser heat and time required for next start.
Since, modules are applied on the existing refractory lining, the complete implementation process require only 3-4 days of down time. The implementation process includes; 1) Surface finishing/preparation; 2) Pasting veneer modules and 3) Heat Retardant Coating - กีฬา
Excellent knowledge sharing platform. Such success stories will excite many industries & consultants to promote proven energy saving opportunities.
this is a very good initiative for MSME with quick return on investment and minimum process disruption.
Thanks for sharing such a nice vedio
That's an amazing result! What was the veneer mortar made up of? Does it include lime?
Nice video sir
It's a nice cost saving process .Where is the material for veenering available?
What is the material of veener??
What fuel is used to heat the furnance, please
Very nice

Hello sir i want burning chamber
Excellent, being a Service provider to MSME and EA-0149, like to share the idea with local MSME, request GEF to send n publish similar vedio

Hi Sugeng, the furnace was very much shut for maintenance when we took the initiative, safety has not been compromised at any point, however, we appreciate your concern and would be even more mindful in future, may we have your contact to connect with you via email.
