Haha, on the brass parts. My dad made a comment about "it being so cold that it would freeze the b@//$ off a brass monkey." At the time I was an 8 y/o farm girl, dad had been in the Navy during WWII so I had no idea what he was talking about then!
My dad used the same phrase, he was in the Korean war, also in the navy! He was always a hoot to be around, passed in 2015, miss him a lot. Thanks for the memory!
I like Brian’s calm statement to Cole about spraying the inner shaft versus the outer! He cracks me up again in same vid! And Cole calmly oks the correction!
Cole's naivety has blinked it's bambi eyes in the recent past. It's adorable as long as he outgrows it. He needs a sombrero for that stache. You changed that conveyor pretty slick. A trickle charger left overnight gives a better cranking speed to those cold diesels. Good video. Pax.
Don’t get a big head but Cole’s cinematography just keeps getting better and better. Stay warm boys, and watch out for women wearing false eyelashes especially during the day time. Look for a woman who knows she’s purty inside and out without stickin on anything extra:)
Glad to see you back thanks for the video I miss you I miss your videos every second day but I understand you God bless you can't wait for the next one
COLE - I snorted laughing when I saw your stash in the light of day! Good on you for experimenting with the whiskers. Also enjoyed the additional Brian time. He has great stories.
Attaboy Cole the Mechanic ! I'm thinking that mustache must have given you extraordinary mechanical skills. You seemed much more confident in your abilities.
Brian a Brass Monkey was a brass plates that had indentations in them that cannon balls where stacked. When it got real cold the brass would contract causing the Balls to fall off.
I have the utmost respect for you guys for being such all-weather farmers. In Namibia we only had to make sure the cattle had water and salt lick. Dip (against ticks) and dose 2 x pa (worms) and they grazed on natural sweet grass. Too easy. No snow, no ice, windmills drew water. They took themselves to the grasses and to the water morning and evening. No predators.
Have to agree, Brian "Riders on the storm" has a great beat to it. Takes me back to my days growing up on the farm listening to that stuff on the tractor radio.
Well now I know what brass monkey parts mean 😂. They say that you learn something new every day and oh boy, I sure did. Once you imagine something you really can’t unsee it. He be Irish ☘️ fer sure. 😂
Loved the Brass Monkey reference. Come on Cole....that was really the first time you had heard that? I can't believe your Dad hadn't used it before. Also, loved the first song of the day - did you get that reference?? One last thing, Riders on the Storm is awesome! Love you guys. You are so genuine.
That caterpillar on your upper lip looks cold! Lol I always look forward to your videos! You three( Brian, Cole, and Ellie) make an awesome team! Have fun with them rusty nuts!!
In a life long ago, I was a math teacher AND I graduated from White County High School, but in Cleveland, Georgia (home of the original Cabbage Patch Kids). Love watching y’all!
You guys have an amazing relationship. I also help my father on the farm nothing like you guys but we enjoy what we do. 70ish sheep Québec. Enjoy your time together it is precious.
Ah, your reminding me of when we were living in Wyoming. We had a mini herd of Mini horses. Keeping the water open so they had something to drink was always tricky. Our paddock shared a large water tub with 4 big horses. One of them liked to play with the heater sometimes taking it out of the tank usually on the coldest days letting the water freeze. In cold weather my mini horses preferred to eat snow a lot of the time. 💘 🐎 🐂 🇺🇸
Cole, the MUSTACHE , WELL I DONT KNOW ABOUT THAT...WOW. Mr. B, maybe you can talk to him about that. Glad you are feeling better. Great video guy, and thank you for letting us be there with y'all
Thanks for another great video. It was interesting and enjoyable. Thanks for the great song of the day. That riders song had a great best. Good one Brian. Good job on the feed wagon repairs. I would not have guessed that the feed auger was around 300 lb. wow. Looked lighter than that. You got the new one without much trouble. A few items were trouble but you all overcame those. Looks good. Cole, please do not tear the new one off. Know you would not. That gel for your cattle must be good stuff. You are selling a lot of it for sure. Free shipping is good deal. Get it while it lasts. About it for now. You all take care and be safe. Looking forward to the next video. Thanks for everything. The Iowa farm boy.
Brian you have left a hole in Coles education not knowing that cold weather castrates brass monkeys. Good to see a new video great as usual. Looking forward to seeing new claves
I thought your feed wagon was getting old when you said you’ve had it for 18 years but then I got to thinking that I bought the Kuhn I have in 2004. Mine is 18 years old too!!!! Damn time flies
Cole, your Norske ancestors used to have "moustache" cups, it was a cup with a little guard to keep your mustache from getting into your coffee. They used to call mustaches, "cookie dusters", so, they do have a good function.
@@MyOLD36chevy The rumour was the Scandavian lumber jacks up here in the north woods of Minnesota, used theirs to strain the gounds out of their coffee. Back then, they just dumped the grounds in to a big pot, and, sometimes you got a shot in your cup.
Okay i haven't commented once i have been watching this channel since the pandemic, i was busy and could not catch up this year ..started catching up now and GOD DAMN COLE that moustache is sweet and looks amazing u ..plz bring it back 😭😭😭
Awesome video as always Cole and Brian. Sure wish we could see more of Tiffany would make for a awesome video indeed. Hey $1800 after 18yrs that is pretty awesome. Keep them videos coming and stay safe my friends 😎🌞👍
That Farm Aid feeder wagon looks like most farmers equipment, just keep them running, right, they just wear out with continued use. I think that most of my work is upkeep and maintenance, we do feed every day, but only a small period of time during the day. Once again another great video, thanks for sharing and you all have a great weekend!
Stated to worry about you boys had not seen a new account in a week. Hope things are not too frozen. Cold in south Texas but not frozen. Like the blog have passed it on to several of my locals.
"Lubricated Shaft and the Rusty Nuts" would make an excellent band name
Wearing the feeder out because you're raising those PURE BRED SONNE FARM BLACK ANGUS CATTLE!! Carry on. 💯❤️
The mustache takes you right back to the seventies.
70's man is back ... 😂🤩
Great video 👍🥸👍
Glad to see your back. The brass monkey parts was funny. I haven’t heard some body say that for years. You can tell how young Cole is. 😂😂😂😂
Wasn't that Peach Fuzz song by , The Brass Monkeys? Had a part in there that went. "Peach Fuzz don't fail me now as the Mercury keeps a dropping".!.!.
Ancient lol 😆
ill be 60 in May ive never heard of brass monkey parts
All I can say is Tiffany must like the look of the mustache, because there’s no other reason that you would grow that thing.
No other reason Nathan
Big fan of the stache
Cole, I believe that look Brian gave at the beginning (when referring to brass monkey parts) was the funniest thing I've ever seen at Sonne Frames.
Dad teaches son some old school and so teaches dad lol awesome just awesome thank you
Cole, that side eye and sly grin you gave your Dad at the announcement of the first “Song of the Day” …. PRICELESS 😂
Haha, on the brass parts. My dad made a comment about "it being so cold that it would freeze the b@//$ off a brass monkey." At the time I was an 8 y/o farm girl, dad had been in the Navy during WWII so I had no idea what he was talking about then!

"Rusty Nut" matches the mustache, Cole. Great video: Brian, you a funny man.

Brian you remind me of my late father with your jokes and sense of humor. It truly is a blessing. Thank you for the great videos.
Love seeing the teamwork you two have. Not sure the two of you couldn't fix anything on your farm...
Cole, that mustache make you look the 'Marlboro Man'!
It’s amazing how many skills are needed to run a farm.

Have to go listen to the song of the day. So thanks for the memories to listen to again. Love it!
Looking good with the mustache Cole
Never thought I'd hear Brimson Minnesota mentioned on a South Dakota cattle video
Have to agree, Brian "Riders on the storm" has a great beat to it. Takes me back to my days growing up on the farm listening to that stuff

Watching you guys work together makes me miss my dad, but it makes me look forward to working with my sons. Keep up the good work.

Unfortunately, Cole you look better without a moustache....moustache.... one person's opinion.
Riders on the Storm …… a Doors classic …. It will be playing in my head for the rest of the day! 😎

Hello from California
I thought your feed wagon was getting old when you said you’ve had it for 18 years but then I got to thinking that I bought the Kuhn I have in 2004. Mine is 18 years old too!!!! Damn time flies
doesnt it?

In the coal mines a mustache helps with filter out the coal dust.

I mustache you a question. But I'm shaving it for later. What do you call a mustache soaked in urine? A pistachio.
It is 14 degrees in Spring Hill, Tennessee this morning. I feel for y'all being in the cold. Had my share of that growing up on the farm.
