One note about Frankie's comment at 6:50... As the preflop raiser you to NOT have the nut advantage on 8-5-3 just because you have all the overpairs. Nut advantage is defined as who has more nutted hands, ie 2-pairs/sets/straights on a given board. You DO have the overall range advantage on this board (though it's not by very much), so you can be betting often, but for smaller sizing, since our opponent has more 33/55/85s/53s in their calling range than we do in our raising range. 88 is probably pretty equal. Edit: Finished watching that hand, and sure enough, he had 84o, so he definitely has the nut advantage, as he clearly has even some 83o in his range in addition to 85/53. You have the big pairs, but if he's a typical weak passive rec at these stakes, many of them do not 3-bet 99/TT, even JJ/QQ sometimes, so your overpair advantage isn't even all that big.
Yeah good comment I was going to ask in the comments if he actually has the “nut advantage” because my understanding of nut advantage is what you have described here.
One note about the 16:30 hand, I think it’s important that you have the 10 of diamonds. Additionally, as was stated it’s hard to give anyone credit for a Qd combo because of it checking through on the flop. That realistically leaves the villain’s value range pretty capped when it comes to flushes, especially considering it was raised pre 5 ways. Most of the value hands are going to contain a nine which you beat. If they did have a flush it’s a bad beat but the size is right imo to call. Granted, y’all are far better players than I so maybe I missed something 😂 any insight/corrections on my analysis are appreciated!
Oh man. We have all been there. For instance, 3 weeks ago I was about to leave Vegas up 6k and decided to stay an extra night. I ended up down about 8k. Hell of a time though lol.
Been watching your vids non stop for a few weeks now and finally made my way to some cash games. Ran super hot and made some great folds. Bought some merch to support the content and can’t wait to rock the next gen card protector at my next game.
Speech play or not, you raised the flop, you should follow suit the betting lead on turn. You let him get there with 45 off. I’m surprised you didn’t call with TT with T♦️blocker to the flush and 2nd pair which is a pocket pair for 2/5 of the pot bet. Poor Rosey, now I really believe it’s bad luck to play off the rack.
Frank the bank I get feeling you should’ve bet the turn with the A/10 but you got so much money in while you were ahead and then put in zero behind. That ain’t nothing
I usually like to go into one of the bathroom stalls and squeeze one out whenever I lose like that.. then not wash my hands and comeback and I’d usually run like a god
Why does J say it's one long game as an excuse for playing JJ out of the rack then comment negatively on losing with JJ to A2? He had huge equity and lost. Long term you print equity
I was playing in Hayward ca. in about 1997. A guy played about ten hours and made a big comeback he had 1500.00 in racks and said goodnight to everyone and the dealer accidentally dealt him in. It was a 5/5 game with an open straddle from any position and the last straddler had position pre flop. I think about six players saw the flop which cost 20.00. The flop came 10 8 5 off. Two people went all in in front of the guy leaving. One guy had 5k the other had 2k and he called off his A10 hand for 1500. The hands were the 5k had 55 and the 2k had 88. He ended up rebuying and stayed five more hours and lost another 1k. That guy has big gambling problem to stay that long.

So the drunk guy makes a huge call as a massive underdog then dpeech plays himself out of possibly stacking Frankie on the river! 2 nice plays! :)
I played with the drunk guy at 1/2 earlier that night and he was doing the same thing. Calling with garbage hands and rivering the nuts. Nice fold.
Brutal turned Ace in the last hand.
