I enjoy your Flosstube. Your chart from the Library Stitchers Retreat is nice. I miss Maine. It's been 2 years since we went there. Beautiful state. I wasn't a stitcher when my kids were in sports, but that would have been an awesome thing to do at practices. I remember trying to read books and just couldn't do it. Cross stitch is so nice because I can have a nice conversation with people while stitching and it also has helped start conversations with others. It's a wonderful hobby.
Helen, your Flosstubes are among my very favorites. It’s relaxing to watch and listen to, and inspiring in such an authentic way. I watch (and rewatch!) some of your tutorials over and over. Thank you for your continuing generosity to our community! P.S. if you made one of those little phrases charts about the Uber Mom life, I would totally stitch it. 😊 I spend a lot of time driving my sons around. I keep one project in the car and a constant stream of audiobooks from the library. ;)

My cat sleeps on my stitching bags too. I bought a wood magazine holder to prop my bags in and forgot to tuck one in so it was on top and there my Zappa was sleeping. Life with cats 😂

My sister is stitching 324 too. I knew she had ALL the DMC colors so I told her to look into it after watching a previous video. She shared in our last video that she has stitched lots of the solid squares on the diagonal. The floss holder for that project is very smart!

Keep your son in the activities he enjoys. I had mine in scouts, marching band, swimming etc.
When my daughter was 16 yrs old she came to me and said”Mom, do you know the kids who participate in activities, don’t get pregnant?” I said O Really and thought myself YES!!! Its working the kids are too busy doing things they enjoy not bored and looking for something to do.
