    I received the trial on 2/9/22. I am waiting on the permanent one to be put in. It helped my back up to 90%, but most of all it reduced my fibromyalgia pain up to 90%. It was a huge plus for me as I have had non stop pain since 1993 from it. Feeling like I was hit with 2x 4 filled with nails every second of my life! I was not expecting anything from the trial because nothing else had worked so far. I haven’t been able to stand or walk for two years. It’s so wonderful just to stand and brush my teeth. Or wait on microwave for 1 minute! I am so thankful. My Rep is so wonderful. Seems he really cares and is on top of everything to help me 24/7.
    Even my doctors were pleased it helped me within 24 hours.

    They have a new charging unit that makes charging the implant much easier than the one she is showing. The old one was VERY hard to find the right spot to place it. The one she is showing is not easy to use.

    I had my nevro implant put on 3/16/20 it was the best thing in my life that worked for my lower back pain and the company representative have been checking with me every other week to see how I was doing I am so grateful for his concerns and also I am taking less pain medication if any sense I had this put in, and now I am doing more Physical activities than before with less pain

      @@itsmezed I’ve had for 7 years the St. Jude stimulator and the last 5 months it’s been frying my interior flesh. I’ve had unpleasant responses in getting it out. I wish I had known that 30% of these things go bad and needs taken out and that’s not counting the ones that people just leave or have died without the device doing anything for pain. You have to remember, it’s about Money, sales the name-of-the- game. In another 7 years there will probably be an even simpler device, but for even greater profits. I just want people to know it’s a high state’s game and like car warranties they may not be for YOU !

    My leads are cervical for constant pain in my left shoulder cause by 2 cervical surgeries fusing C-4 to C-7. I am 2 months post-op and am having success I'd say about 90% the only downside is the fact that with less pain medication I'm finding new pains lol. After living on pain meds for 11 years my body is giving me hell. But do believe it will pass after the old body adjusts to less or no pain meds. I hurt pretty badly after the procedure and because it was cervical I had to wear a cervical collar for 6 weeks during the summer when it's 110 where I live. It as pretty uncomfortable and sweaty but it was worth it now that I'm having relief.

      @MrZocor God is not responsible for the discomfort, in fact, He's not responsible for any sickness, pain, death or any evil going on in the world. He created Adam & Eve to live in a perfect place called The Garden Of Eden. But then Satan came to them disguised as a serpent to deceive them telling them it was OK to eat from the one tree God told them not to eat from. They bought into Satan's deception & they disobeyed God. Because of this they were kicked out of the perfect place God created for them, this is why the world is filled with so much evil ever since that day. Satan is a liar & a deceiver, his time is running out so he's working overtime, soon he will be cast into Hell for all eternity! So actually God does care about this person's discomfort, He cares very much. He also cares about every person He created, He cares so much that He died on a cross to pay for all our sins so we can go live with God when we die & leave Earth. He's preparing a perfect Kingdom called Heaven at this very moment. All we have to do to go there is accept His free gift of salvation by praying a simple prayer, asking Him to forgive us of our sins & come into our hearts to be our Lord & Savior. It's that easy! Then we have our ticket to Heaven, paid in full by a God who loves & cares about us more then we can ever imagine. I hope to see you there.

    Will the VA cover the cost because my tried the trial and it was effective for her but she was denied the permanent one. I also suffer from low back pain and have the VA insurance. Will the VA cover the cost?

    • @wportermcroberts
      @wportermcroberts  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Stephanie Pickett it would be a foolish expense to approve the trial and not the permanent, if the criteria for success we’re met. It would also be cruel, inhumane and unconscionable! That said, I’ve seen it happen, usually resolved with a very frank call to the insurance company. The VA? Works on a different system. Gentle and friendly but constant pressure. The key to getting things done in life. Best of luck!!

    I have had mine for almost two years. 90% relief. I've gotten good at positioning the charging pad.
    Just wish it came with a 12dc adaptor. Also, why the 1970's remote? There is no way I'm taking this thing with me everywhere. Can't I get a Appt. to talk to my implant from my phone? Sure would be a lot more convenient. Plus what happens if I need to turn it off. Wait! I have to get my old TV remote from home before you can do that scan on my foot!
    On that note. I was told that they were in the process of getting approval for full MRI with the unit off. That was 2 years ago.

    • @VisionoftheGods
      @VisionoftheGods 5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      jabberon I know this is an old message and you probably will never see this response, but the reason you will NEVER see this controlled from an app on your phone is safety. The remote/pager/phone they give you to control the device does not have the same risk of being hacked / controlled by someone else the way your cell phone would. On your phone, you go to websites, you download apps, you send and receive text massages, you check your email, etc. and any of those actions have a risk of coming across malware, risk allowing someone else to gain control of your device remotely the same way any computer could be, or any of a number of other methods that information on your phone could be accessed and used against you. Even if the chance is very slim, no one wants to risk having your pacemaker or hacked into and stopping it. No one wants the device imbedded in your body and controls your pain to fall into the hands of someone who would use it to hurt you instead. Even CPAP Machines report straight to the doctor and/or keep data on an SD card. You wouldn’t want someone stopping a device that helps you breathe while you sleep or to be able to access it to gain other personal information. An app would be a great convenience. No one wants to carry around a second phone. But when you think about all the people that have had their baby monitors and webcams hacked, or all the people that have their credit cards and bank accounts stolen, or all the people that have private videos and pictures put on the internet then I guess it makes sense why you are stuck with a second device. All it would take is one news story about a hacker threatening to turn off someone’s pacemaker unless a ransom was paid, and everyone would flip out.

      I see Jabberon's point about the remote. Yes, it looks large, chunky and clunky but is designed ( I'd guess in part) for it not to be lost and very simple to understand and use. Agreed, that it could be made to be about the size of an average six inch smartphone with those controls and displays being more succinct. For those with visual impairments this is about the most ideal size, yet for others the designers could expand their range to suit their client's lifestyle. My spouse has problems with a one button remote controller, so, it'll be interesting how she'll cope with this.

    • @wportermcroberts
      @wportermcroberts  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Very Good Questions. There is no data at present to suggest SCS causes or influences cancer in any way. you do need to have imaging. NEVRO is Sri compatible at present, but special protocols have to be used in the scanning. those are available to MRI centers. if you're serious about having the implant or trial, call the MRI center you use and ask them if they can do the protocol. Simulators are so common these days, its hard to find a place that can't do the protocol. I hope this helps. Best of luck!

I got it August 14th and I do feel about 50-55% better. I still get bad pain in the pit of my lower back when I’m doing dishes and other housework or strenuous things. Suzanne Lohmann. Sadly we get what we pay for. Managed care organizations, socialized medicine programs put the physician on the same side as the payer. Patients loose their most ardent advocates: their doctors, in these systems. Keep trying. And best of luck, or leave Kaiser.

      Unfortunately with all medical devices there are kickbacks. Stimulators have been around for many years and work when properly put in. Problem comes when pain management doctors push these like Candy and fudge the patients pain numbers to get them to get the permanent implant. I just had one implanted on June 16th and it has been a life saver. I have had 8 failed knee surgeries and ended up with CRPS. My pain had decreased by about 75% since I got the implanted and I am taking 50% less pain meds.

      What I would do is call the person who sold you the unit. You know the one who spoke so highly of it during your initial trial procedure

    By the looks of it, Im not seeing anyone post anything positive. Now two months in and all I hear is the same ole same ole. I ruined it because i didnt wait the full seven days before trying the next. Something is wrong. Should we patients get together here and demand more answers or something?????

      Mine has been life changing. My pain has decreased by about 75% and I take 50% less pain meds. These devices are constantly being improved upon. A big issue is a lot of pain management doctors don’t have the proper training and pop these in like candy because of the kickbacks. If done properly these devices have a higher success rate

    The hfx rep that calls has a program to follow but the wanna be drs (. Nurse practitioner) is cutting her pain meds and I’m going thru nasty anger nature, triggers and issues due to a unit rep says is different then trial , doesn’t appear to listen to her, so called dr just wants to cut meds. I’m in a world of poop. How do I proceed when it comes to hfx permanent unit is different and they refuse to focus on the area it was installed for. No body wants to own up to being the pain management dr etc. they won’t instruct her to find the program for area she needs. It’s like they wanna try to do a study on her.

    Will I became to get a battery that doesn't need to be recharged?

    • @wportermcroberts
      @wportermcroberts  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Battery charging is dependent on the energy demands of the waveform and frequency. More energy used correlates to increased demand on the battery. The recharging ability is a great improvement, as previously folks would have to have their batteries changed every so often. With many of the high energy waveforms now available, wed have to change the battery every few months--simply not a viable option.

      Not as a dialysis nurse probably. You will have lifetime restrictions once you have the implant including no bending greater than 90 degrees at the waist, CANT lift you elbows above your ear and a limit on the amount of weight you can life. I’m an RN and I’m looking into pre op, doctors office, and other similar jobs.
