That's because palworld did what Pokemon wouldn't, and changed the formula. Pokemon has been the same game for 3 decades now just with different pokemon per game. They have done nothing to be different
This is a waaaaay better experience than most of the shovelware survival crafting games on Steam. As long as it isn't permanently in early access, and doesn't get abandoned, I'll be happy with it
Considering PocketPair just made $80 Million in profit over the weekend and made their 20-30 employees multi-millionaires, I don't think it's likely they're going to abandon the game.
Apperently they had a 10k dollar budget for this game so who knows, maybe its just a quick cashgrab with little or slow updates in the future. Probably still worth 26E just to enjoy it for the time being tho@@Joreel
@@nedbear1970definitely not a 10k budget. Game was announced three years ago and has 40 Japanese employees working on it. It cost them millions. Probably 5-10 million. Instead of 100-200 like bigger games
One of my facorite features of Palworld that i wish other survival games would adopt, is that if you place resources in a container within the border of your base you can access those resources from any crafting table in the base.

If Pokemon addressed the void in the gaming market then Palworld wouldn't exist because wants and needs from within the market would have ALREADY been properly met. But Pokemon did not address the void in the market, so Palworld addressed it for them. I hope Palworld continues to be an example of what happens when you neglect the market and ALLOW competitors to do a better job than you. Palworld deserves every bit of success that it's getting.
@@haydenhamilton3109 to be fair like there last game made 25m sale which is very very high and was at the top so many still buying them no matter how lazy they are
Imagine palworld makes an anime, an interesting world with some story. And keep building on it. Do it like Pokémon did but indeed grow with the market and innovate and listen to their fans. Pokémon has become too arrogant.
I declare that Palworld is the most excellent game. It surpasses CS2, DOTA2, PUBG, Baldur's Gate 3, elden ring, GTA5, APEX, Fortnite, COD, monster hunter, 2077, p5r. No other games can compare with Palworld. Palworld has created a new way of making games. The game industry will definitely thank Palworld in the future. My god, it's amazing that I can play such an interesting game in my life.
I got it yesterday, hooked after 30 minutes. It's the Pokemon game I always wanted but Nintendo was too dumb/lazy/comfortable to make and instead rehashed the same formula for 20 years with Arceus being the only slight exception
30hrs in so far. I like the small details they added like before a fire pal goes to sleep, it will go around my base and light all the torches for the night. Some of it is comical like seeing a tiny fluffy pal defend a base with an assault rifle. All around crazy and fun game.
Amother really small detail is that the higher you go the colder it get , some dude in my server decide to build a 130 floors tower and he confirm this 😂
The devs are hiring. Immediately after Palworld's release, I saw in their news that they're looking to bring on new members into their company. That speaks loads on them wanting to make sure this game gets the development it deserves!
Started with a $10k Budget, Now they have over $70m+ to go all in on this IP and expand into a world wide success like Pokemon managed to do over the years. @@SALT_KING

@@RoomofMimathey absolutely have no stake in a lawsuit. First off, it’s on Gamepass and you’ll never out money Xbox. Second, it has very little of anything to do with the IP of pokemon. Third, Gamefreak doesn’t own the concept of “catching cute monsters in spheres”. They can sue all they want but it won’t go anywhere.
Built a base near the giant elephant boss … he stumbled in at level 18, killed most of my pals, but I ended up catching him 17 levels early 😭 it’s pretty solid for an early access.
Indeed! I hope they take notice and actually make something like this. I remember that old pc game this guy made for Pokémon that was like this but he got sued to oblivion to stop.
It really proves how lazy and poor Game Freak really are. Just riding that same wave... lame. Hopefully now it gives them the actual kick up the arse to realise, they need to try and that will bring fans back but who knows now.. The last few games were a little.. meh. I'm not usually a fan of survial-esque games, but this game is addictive. It hits all the right things in my brain, progression, open world, heavy on crafting, but perhaps the biggest thing for me is the Pals!! So adorable, and the fact that they can help you in your base instead of just being there is top-tier.
I've never been into a survival game, but this one has somehow gotten my attention. It's fun to have little creatures around who can help me survive instead of having to rely on surviving long enough to craft a gun
This game feels like every early access game on steam combined into one and somehow it’s a more finished game than anything Pokémon has produced since black/white 2. Seriously. It’s actually a lot of fun
When Jake said he isn't info Survival games normally but this one got him hooked, I felt that something about it doesn't feel as boring as other survival ark types especially with friends
One thing I really appreciate in this compared to pokemon is that every single pal actually has full and mostly unique animations for all of their attacks which for me adds so much to the game
That’s what I keep saying, bro this is Alpha build! Like they admitted they’re giving this next year to continue strong development. Let’s just hope this insane payday doesn’t make them cash out early.
@@DaDude2011 Although, with it being an alpha, I am VERY tempted to stop playing and return at a later date. I don't want to re-encounter every Pal. It might be better to leave some for later.

I think it’s plenty interesting. If you stop thinking about what it copies and just immerse yourself in it, it becomes its own thing. I’m greatly enjoying exploring the world, slowly building up my base, meeting all the Pals one at a time. It’s funny cause if you stop caring about which Pokemon they imitate the Pals begin to shine.
Most games if you think about it are mixes of other games I mean look how many FPS games are on the market ,how many ways can you run round playing tdm etc?
I don't get it. I played it for like 7-8 hours last night. The game feels very clumsy and half assed. It's sluggish to control. The melee combat is god awful. The shooting is OK at best. The bow feels pretty good, automating your base by enslaving little cutesy creatures is kinda fun. But mostly it's just a bog standard survival crafting game. Go punch some trees for some wood. Go punch some rocks for some stone. It's not offensively bad, but i genuinely do not get the appeal.
@@johnwrath3612 at like 20ish hours almost all of that is automated and most of the gameplay includes hunting new pals which in my opinion is the best part

So here’s my take and perspective. I came across Palworld through a friend after it’s release as he described it as Pokemon with guns(more like Pokemon with survival) which is intriguing and surprising that Nintendo hasn’t jumped on this themselves cause the people clearly want it. Going into it I thought the game looked familiar and came to realize the developers also developed Craftopia (breath of the wild clone) not a bad game but when comparing it to Palworld it’s just not as put together. It would seem that Palworld has received more love and has more intricate features even in early access. It also gives a very comforting feeling reminiscent of playing games as a kid. This mindless excitement. What’s there is good but definitely needs to be fleshed out in the long run. My main concern is that both Palworld and craftopia are both in early access. I wish they’d finish what was on one plate to solidify the core gameplay, identity, and world a bit more. But I’m no game developer. Palworld is definitely the most exciting survival game in my library currently. It definitely has some faults and buggy moments but is definitely worth supporting. Looking forward to its growth and full release🤘🏽
It's great because it takes all the extra boring stuff out. If your materials are in any chest in your base, you can use them to craft at any station. If you want to fast travel, there's no animation, just touch a statue you already touched, and you can instantly travel. There's NO PICK UP ANIMATION. Just gameplay. Such a satisfying game.
This game came out of no where for me, my first impression going in was a meme , expected to play not more than an hour and now 20+ hours, I’m hooked. I love Pokémon and now I love pals as well. Game has great potential and I am looking forward to it!
Something I love about the game is the combat and party building. In pokemon only the active pokemon really fights and they all generally do the same thing. In palworld they can all have beneficial abilities to help on the adventure. Pokemon sorta tried this with hm moves, and then later just gave up on that.
Pokémon also do different things in battle. That is what abilities are. But I do get what you mean. Outside of battles, picnics, and super training, there’s not much to do in Pokemon but the story. Do you feel like both the games have positives and negatives? (Genuine question. Not trying to be rude or nothing)
@@zemellion26 what he is saying is in palworld other pals in your party can be involved in the combat depending on their partner skills without them being on the field

Palworld scratches the itch that OG Pokemon gamers have been wanting for so long. There's so much potential here, and the fact that it's not limited to dated hardware like the Switch is huge too.
@@Amins88 yup ive bought too many recent releases to jump on some thing esp early access.. but this one shows promise ill buy it a month or two later after some qol changes/ bug fixes for an even better experience.
Well, you can make very good working Produktion lines. For example, use Level 2 Mining pala and the Squids for transporting (Plus God of course) by the big ore field near the Church in the Red biome, and you got unlimited Iron and Spheres if you place your base with a Rock inside.
Palworld is what I was hoping the direction that Pokémon would take after Legends Arceus. It's also saving me from breaking and buying the Ark "upgrade". Palworld hits all the same notes with better automation in my bases. Just an all-round fun weird pokemon knock-off.
Not only that but it is half the price of one of those shitty Pokemon games too... haha Pokemon sucks really. They had ample time to get to this stage, or at least, something similar and actually do something but they didn't. We already had Pokemon clones anyway... Nexomon and others are already out there and they still changed some of the formula... like having the choice of any type, as your first type. Pokemon have done the same shit and it's just tedious really. I hope Game Freak pull their fingers out and actually get something done
to give all due credit, Arceus took 6 years to develop. it was one of the best received pokemon games of all time, but it would take a few years before they would be able to make another legends style game. though we can assume, since it was given a series title and a personal title. we will likely see another legends game in the next few years, like we did with the mystery dungeon and rumble series.
I was skeptical of Palworld at first, but after starting my playthrough of it, I've come to love it! There are so many features I wish Pokemon had, that I can explore and play with in Palworld :) That being said, I still also love Pokemon too
Has a ton of potential and is well worth the price for the early access. Yes it has some rough edges as it should be with early access but for what is and what it will hopefully grow into it’s off to a great start. Really enjoying it so far.
When you're enjoying a game but has many harsh things to say about it, it means you're hooked and you want the company to do better and succeed! You described how I feel about this game well. Palworld has a bright future as long as they keep working on it
@@Brotheroppi Is it hype when the game is already released and so far there isn't any promises out in the field? I'm one of those people who would actually be 100% okay with the game staying as it is right now. Its phenomenal and a really good experience in my book.
We also need cool starting Pals to choose, maybe a teleportation or similar travel system... And if they want this game to succeed long term they need a really good end game to tie everything together
The thing I love the most about this is they nailed the Pokemon type open world game I was wanting. The survival aspect makes it even better, you can fight alongside your mons, there are bosses and dungeons. And also you’re incentivised to ‘Catch them all’ because you can use the additional pals to upgrade existing ones. Every pal has a use in your bases as well. It’s the perfect formula.
I love how well animated the pals are and how diverse their actions are. The sanity mechanic also adds more depth. Tons of stuff to do, collect, and craft. It's varied and well paced enough that it rarely gets dull. I hope some good story content gets added later down the line and of course there's been some bugs, but I can't really complain so far.
My overall opinion, I think this has the potential to be a game that we needed. Whether it's from the source of inspiration or from this developer that had the balls to gather the most successful elements of popular games, this is already a great start. My first impression was "Ark with Pokemon", and it already has the advantage of local servers that don't tether everyone to the host (biggest roadblock to playing casual with friends in Ark).
I think if you want to see Palworld as what it is, you should see the Dev's previous game, Craftopia. Because that game pretty much follows the same idea, it might even be the seed that makes Palword possible. Palword and Craftopia feels like a game that a kid dreamed of (imagine combining Breath of Wild, Fortnite and DayZ) then someone actually put it the effort to actually make it. It's like turkey curry on Boxing Day, it was made with leftovers. It shouldn't work, but somehow it works, and it was delicious. I really wanted to see how the devs take it from here
oh wow, I didn't realize it was the same devs that made craftopia. That actually explains a lot. Craftopia was a mostly fantastic game that suffered from excessive grind, but I can see a LOT of the same elements and heart and HUMOR of that game carried over into Palworld. When held in that light it feels less like a mashup of a bunch of popular games and more a sequel to craftopia.(which in itself was a mashup of a few other game styles, but didn't cause nearly as much of an internet fanboy shiitstorm.)
@@ryan_nstuff Huh, I guess Craftopia made them know what to do and don'ts, I didn't play Craftopia but in Palworld, the progression feels really REALLY good for a survival game

I definitely hope they flesh out the story and NPCs in a future content update. A main story quest and side quests with named NPCs to interact with would go a long way towards making the game feel complete. The gameplay loop is solid, just needs bugfixes and polishing. With all the money they've made, I hope they expand the team a little bit and go nuts with steady updates. If so, this game will become huge.

Let alone answer "ok so who actually are these people and why do they matter" The first thing you see is a vague "The Towers are the key..." and "...the tree holds the truth" "Why are the towers the key?" and "What's with the tree/why does it matter?"

I’ve wanted this kinda game ever since I knew what Pokémon was. I shedded tears when I opened up the game and saw the graphics knowing that this was as close as my dream would be made reality. And this is STILL just the beginning. I can’t wait to see what happens next. :)
I think the game taps into what people actually want from games: fun. It's not about the lore, worldbuilding, voice acting, story, graphical fidelity, etc. In a way, I think it's the simplicity that makes games like these succeed. It presents you with a very simple gameplay loop that you do again and again. In return, it rewards you with incremental feelings of accomplishment every step of the way. If I had to pick a single element of why most people don't complete most games, it's because their progression systems don't offer that. If you truly felt your own growth in a step by step way in a lot of these other failed games, I think they would be very successful. It's a simple psychological thing that I don't think many developers understand.
I think this game will improve drastically over the year, considering it’s only been out for a week and I doubt the developers were expecting such a massive reception I’m sure they’ll have the money to make a full story inside and much more
Pocket Pair has a huge history of abandoning their IP to work on the next project. Or selling it off to be updated to even smaller companies. They already have things on their plate for the next game. Which is literally stolen HollowKnight assets.
I was very suspicious of it, but I've been really enjoying it. To me it doesn't feel cheap. The "pals" are well thought out and really carry the game. There are interesting combos and they seem to have personality and there are a lot of them. Palworld seems to combine what I like in multiple games in to one.
I’ve fell under the map so many times but other than that and a saving glitch every now and then I’ve loved this game so much and I normally play shooter fast paced games
I’ve fallen through the map once and I knew it was coming. I tried to jump a see through crack and I made a huge tiny mistake. As for the save glitch, I wish I understood what was causing that. Now every time I see the save icon, I wonder if I will need to get out of the game or if it will for me. That and crashes. Like, no rhyme or reason, just crashes and then none.
A lot of things certainly feel like they have just being "frankenstein'd" in, but the game does feels and plays decently and certain systems are well fleshed out. Hopefully they try to elaborate more on storying telling/building within the game so there is more cohesion. I'm having fun regardless, it's different.
I'd argue that story telling, really isn't required. We are playing as some washed up player, trying to survive the world. He doesn't know anything about it and unless the random NPCs tell us stuff, who cares?! There are random people around campfires, who give a little information about certain places but I think they are also survivors in the same situation?! Either way, I would rather they focus on fixing bugs/glitches, adding more places, more Pals and other stuff, than story telling because again, they have done small bits and it's most likely going to be open ended.
I played Conan Exiles, the closest game I've played to this, and frankly? I think Palworld already has the same amount of story/worldbuilding that Conan Exiles had. The item descriptions, the npcs, the little logbooks, I think they amount to the same amount that Conan Exiles did imo.
The thing with this game is it caters to those who aren't big survival game fans. I love survival games, but compared to Ark, rust ect the grinding in Palworld is fairly light, that comes down to the pals helping. This game could be huge, it's just where they go from here. Either way, I'll be here for the ride.
True, its more chiller game, play on your own pace without racing other player. But once people play it once I don't think it had replayability, not that it need one. Most story game, people also play it once
I spent hours farming crops, chopping trees, and mining stones. All it accomplished is make me want to play farming sims. So i ended up trying Story of Seasons and Coral Island instead. Much more my speed.
I haven't heard of any game that makes you pay more when the 1.0 releases. I believe it's the same for this. If you buy it now you have it also when the full release comes around.@@jubronni599
one thing to note, in multiplayer if you join others, it seems that it is separate from your single player (even if you select multiplayer) character. its a totally separate character. idk if it was mentioned.
Every world is its own instance. So if you make a world and progress in it then decide you want to join a buddy and join their world you start fresh in that world and progress your data saves per world. I currently have 3 different worlds I play in and 3 different progressions (one solo, one with my fiance, and one that is my friends world). The nice thing about that is you can have a world that you and a friend or 2 can all progress together in and no one gets left behind.
I really hope the Pokémon company can’t sue and ruin this game. Wayy better than Pokémon, their games have been extremely babified and stale for about a decade
I really think the people saying that this game stole assets from Pokemon are really grasping for straws, because there ain't anything resembling Pokemon in here at all. Even the rabbit, being the most plausible is just literally "The Easter Bunny" generic as can be just painted green and even Nintendo stole from the same source there. Grow up, nintendrones, and find alternative hobbies that don't involve raging in social media.
Streamers are all about hyping up this game to build up the audience, what with it being a meme game. It’s not bad but it certainly isn’t that good either. Played it a while and all that was said in this video is true. This game feels more early EA than many other early EA games I bought the past year.
This game caught me really off guard. My expectations going into it were low, but man is it addicting. It checks off so many boxes for me and is straight up just fun, with friends or grinding solo. I haven't played a game you just want to grind all day and when you get off, you think about it since Jedi Fallen Order. I know it’s early to call this my game of the year, but this has been a pleasant surprise
06:20 Bandit camps are great in the early game. They can give you Pals you can't catch yet. I lucked out and got a lvl 20 Mossanda Lux from one. I love Palworld probably because it's unfinished. There's no story, no NPCs holding your hand or dragging you to the next objective. You can just pick a direction and GO until you find a fast travel marker or die trying. You can be reckless and the game will provide consequences for that.
Looks like it could have a lot of potential. A game you don’t take too seriously and just chill and play. They seriously need to improve that melee combat though! That single move of prodding enemies with a stick looks like it will get tedious very quickly lol
Depends if you mean kid as in 5 years ago or kid as in 25 years ago. Because nobody did for the first few gens, open world games and survival didn't really exist.
I’ve played ark, I’ve played Pokémon (red and blue only thou). 7 days to die and many others. Being able to make your pals work and see them relax in a hot tub, or sleep underwater… yes it’s broken in places but endearing. My partner who has played every Pokémon game is just happy as can be to play a poke-like game and we are for sure going to catch all we can. Make sure you get to breeding them, and breeding different types together for new results. It does feel hollow without a story but the opening cinematic makes me feel like they know, and plan to do more later on. We will play it to “ pal ‘‘em all” then put it down for a year and come back to hopefully something more amazing. But sales figures don’t lie, this is what many fans of various genres have been looking for. Happy gaming..
I have to imagine that 90% of the player base are in their 30s (like me) and have finally been given the "Pokemon" game we've all been waiting for our whole lives! I've had to do my whole work day on 0 hours sleep because I couldn't get off Palworld. I absolutely love it
@@DaDude2011well fear not I for a change will be joining you guys as the younger generation. Pokemon was after my childhood so no nostalgia but this thing looks like a good time. Guns and critters

Personally i havent had many issues it crashes after 3 hrs but really not a problem and when you join its a bit laggy for about a minute not super bad but dont try gliding over water it will drop you lol oh and if you throw your pal too close to an enemy it wont attack it. They put a patch out yesterday fixing some of the bugs. One weird in was if you were on multiplayer (at least with 2 people) itll switch your voices for wahatever reason lol thats fixed though occasionally Pokemon will get stuck inside a mountain but you can still attack and throw balls at it so its not that big of a deal. Take with it what you will but the game is super fun and man its only gonna get better!
Around level 15 or so progress started to slack off. But there are world options, and you can give a slight multiplier in xp to keep progress increasing steadily. World settings are very much derivative of Ark, however there are a few options I think the game could add, such as a slider that lets you increase the frequency of raids which currently seems pretty rare.
I had like 3, 2 that were full of dire wolves and the purple lizards (forgot its name) and the 2 suicide bomber birds(luckily I was able to take ‘em out before they got to my base)
My favorite part of this game is when you gathering wood/stone. We went from catching colorful wild animals and forcing them to fight, to catching them and forcing them to do manual labors, work on plantations and THEN forcing them to fight. It's only a matter of time before they add a way for pok- I mean Pals to go on a strike.😂
I am someone who never got into Pokémon as a kid because my parents thought it was weird. I wanted to get into it since they released the more open world games (shield was my first game) but as I played shield and violet, they just kinda sucked… Don’t get me wrong I loved the aspect of catching Pokémon but… Palworld has totally given me what I was looking for from Pokémon. It’s ironically a breath of fresh air
I agree it needs a lore. A story some quests and side quests more towns and NPCs to interact with. I don't have much of a need to venture out other than to get that higher lvl pal.
Lol, you just described what the whole game is about. A: You are slow at crafting/collecting stuff as just a player alone, so -- B: you go out into the world to collect pals to quicken this process -- C: you enter 30 sec - 3 min repetitive combat to capture said Pal. This is the game. There's nothing more. This is it. And people seem to like it. You'll have to get trained psychologists to study this phenomenon.
Palworld is absolutely the best early access game to release in years. And yes, it may be a bit lifeless at times, but I think, in five years, you won't recognize it from all the new content and features that get added. They've already released a couple quality of life updates, which speaks volumes about the devs. I have very high hopes for this one, as so far is combined all the elements from my favorite survival games and improved on most. As far as being a Pokémon ripoff, it's just not. If anything it's a spoof of Pokémon.
I freaking love it, yes it's lore, a story line to follow, and a few convenience of life upgradesbut keep in mind it's early access and has A TON OF POTENTIAL! Even with those missing pieces this game is still GREAT! I haven't been addicted to a game let alone a PC game in a long time! Solid 8/10for the time being
I think, although unfinished, the concept of this game works. It takes so many good ideas and makes them work and fit into a pretty nice gameplay loop. It definitely feels like there's supposed to be more behind this game and I really hope to see it fleshed out and finished
I love that you can set your own parameters for your world. Some people say this game is "too easy". They must not realize they can make it more challenging. They just must love complaining instead of challenging themselves.
That game doesn't become more challenging when you change the settings. It becomes more tedious. You do less damage and receive more. It's harder to catch pals or they become less frequent. No new mechanics or anything to make the game more interesting. It is an easy game and it doesn't change at higher difficulty settings.
I'm genuinely impressed with Palworld being as good as it is when all anyone expected it to be was a meme game. It's just genuinely such a fun game, and even if it's more like Ark and other survival games than Pokemon itself it's pretty hilarious that the Pals have more personality than the recent pokemon games and actually have 'high quality animations' like Pokemon supposedly has.
Im kind of hoping its closer to 50% or lower done cause, yes its huge, but i would love to see the whole level of complexity this game has the potential to have. Its already deeper than pokemon in terms of the relationship between the player and creatures. Id love to see it go even further. Also there definitely needs to be WAY more human involvement in the world that makes the whole factions and designs more convincing
The Japanese game developer stated it's about 40% done, but they're having problems implementing pvp, he said he didn't think it would be so difficult.

I'm really enjoying it so far. It scratches several itches I've had in wanting a game that does one of the things this game does. Is it fleshed out in each category I like? No, but it combines them in a way that's fun. Also the exploration with friends is great. I love going through dungeons and finding things in the open world, getting distracted by one collectible after the other, never getting to my goal, always getting sidetracked.
People comparing this to Pokemon really need to learn about a little game franchise called Dragon Quest Monsters. The concept for battling and capturing monsters to work alongside you came in 1992 before Pokemon and then became what Palworld basically is in 1998. This game is more closely related to that than Pokemon.
Competition a lot of times is a good thing. Pokémon was to dominant in this space and did what they liked, competition will help expand grow this genre of gaming.
this is what future pokemon game should look like. being a pokemon trainer is more than just capturing monsters and battling. despite Game Freak being a multi billion dollars company, their recent game's graphics and gameplays hasn't seen much upgrade at all.
@@nefuros551 Ark also has a good story. For me it was the game difficulty in single player. I'm talking about what will help prevent this game from becoming a blip and make it popular in the mainstream. Ark isn't really popular outside of its player base.
@FireFox64000000 ark player base is pretty gigantic considering how old it is. Palworld is also a parody so I can imagine the story writing will be pretty corny and comical. Considering it is THIS playable at early access I would imagine this game is going to the stratosphere. Should have enough funding to really polish it into something great.
Im still shocked and impressed at how a game that started out as a meme game upon first reveal turned out to be such a complete banger to play. I legot had more fun in this game than any triple a title thats come out.(except for mhwi, that will always be the greatest!)
I've been seeing a ton of mention online. Just finished the free preview, and I'm impressed. It has plenty of similarities yet differences from all the games it has been compared to to set it apart. I'm not a huge survival game fan and definitely not a Pokémon fan but this game itched a scratch that no game has since I first played Minecraft. I appreciate your review. It gave me additional insight on what to expect if (when) I decide to buy it. I would also add that the price is very reasonable. Some games that have had a typical (~$60) price on release have been a buggy mess and dont quite deliver on expectations. Your mention of the less finished aspects don't bother me much considering it is pre-release . Overall, it seems this game has had so many comparisons in part because it is somewhat unique. So far it seems to deserve the recognition it is receiving. Fingers crossed the development team is able to keep their vision in mind as they move towards release and deliver the awesome experience they have shown off thus far.
Out of curiosity, did they allow you to fast travel with resources yet? As that's what stopped my friends and I from continuing playing it after release.
Howso? I booted it up recently and it was the same. Do I need to play a good few hours for new content? It looked nicer and had some extra building items but I saw nothing new beyond that.
@@goughy3687 There are different things about the world you can change for recourses, like .5x all the way up to 4x Materials. and yes even a setting that makes it so you can transport materials through portals :D
I love the fact that they let you choose how fast you want to progress with the world settings. I don’t have much time to play so it’s perfect for having to grind less and play the game more. Also I have tried games like ark and exiles but could never really get into them so this says a lot for me. I’m addicted. Looking forward to seeing this game grow and hopefully customize even more little things in your world/server.
I really love the game so far. I am surprised with how much there is on Early Access. The map is big and I enjoy exploring and finding eggs, effigies (sp?), treasure chests and of course new pals. I believe with the success of this game, they will hopefully pour more love into this game and by that I mean really give us more and more to a perfect full fledged out game by next year. I am looking forward to all the new stuff coming in the future.
My greatest hope with this game is that it will finally obligate Nintendo to make a good Pokemon game. Pokemon has become just like FIFAs and CoDs, soulless empty repetitions without very little added and no junk removed
Never been into the survival genre but this has me hooked at the moment. My only gripes have been the game crashing, falling through some of the map and some of the pals in bases get stuck sometimes. Apart from that it's fun, massive and you can literally spend hours just messing about exploring.
I find myself just flying around, looking for chests and eggs, and still enjoying myself. A game where you can enjoy yourself while doing basically nothing is pretty rare (outside of those bullet heaven survivor type games where all you do is move around).
Im excited to see how this game continues to be built. A whole lot of potential and considering its only 60% done, im hoping the rest is doing what you talked about, connecting all of those puzzle pieces together. I think a proper story to fill out the massive world would be awesome and help fix a bunch of those criticisms. Some tweeking would be nice and im sure we will probably get more pals too. Right now, the game is fun to play but im curious how much replayability they plan on adding because i can see a big burnout happening until the next big update and people come back and then burnout again and that keep happening until the game is finished.
As much of a mess it can be at times, I’ve had more fun playing Palworld than any recent Pokémon games.
That's because palworld did what Pokemon wouldn't, and changed the formula. Pokemon has been the same game for 3 decades now just with different pokemon per game. They have done nothing to be different
That is not hard to do. You can have more fun breathing then playing any recent Pokemon game.

Looking forward to its growth and full release🤘🏽
pokemon legends arceus is a pokemon survival game similar to palworld that nintendo did make
It's great because it takes all the extra boring stuff out. If your materials are in any chest in your base, you can use them to craft at any station. If you want to fast travel, there's no animation, just touch a statue you already touched, and you can instantly travel. There's NO PICK UP ANIMATION. Just gameplay. Such a satisfying game.
And there are no dumb and useless dialogues that you are forced to watch like in the last pokemon games

Pokemon as a concept yes, but the pokemon company its trash today.
Can you tell me if I buy the early access game, will I also have to pay for the finished game?

I love how well animated the pals are and how diverse their actions are. The sanity mechanic also adds more depth. Tons of stuff to do, collect, and craft. It's varied and well paced enough that it rarely gets dull. I hope some good story content gets added later down the line and of course there's been some bugs, but I can't really complain so far.
I appreciate that they appreciate getting pets.
The animation of Ryptryo dipping his front feet in the hot springs because he's too big to fit made me appreciate the detailed animations.
Depresso mining is iconic.
Tethering was my first major concern so that's a relief. Really shit all over my Ark Survival Ascended experience with friends.

Every failed game failed regardless of whether it had a story or not. How would a "story" ruin Palworld, when it already has one?
The problem is that it's story is incredibly barebones and takes a massive backseat/doesnt incentivise you to do the towers too much. Let alone answer "ok so who actually are these people and why do they matter"
The first thing you see is a vague "The Towers are the key..." and "...the tree holds the truth"

My god, internet commenter in a nutshell.
I think this game will improve drastically over the year, considering it’s only been out for a week and I doubt the developers were expecting such a massive reception I’m sure they’ll have the money to make a full story inside and much more
It doesn't feel like early access at all.

Same I have not touched cod since this dropped missing the events and dont care .. was over cod anyway

The more realistic style of the environment kind of contrasts with the style of the creatures but the gameplay itself looks kinda fun
They do actually go on strike if they get too hungry or aren't happy with working conditions
I am someone who never got into Pokémon as a kid because my parents thought it was weird. I wanted to get into it since they released the more open world games (shield was my first game) but as I played shield and violet, they just kinda sucked…
Don’t get me wrong I loved the aspect of catching Pokémon but… Palworld has totally given me what I was looking for from Pokémon.
@@w0tnessZA I don't get what is fun about this? No lore, no story, no relationship you get with your Pals, no interesting NPC's.

I love this game so much. Catching pals feels so good. It plays very well and the fact there isn’t a cash shop helps a ton too.
Yeah, I think a big part of the game's success is that a cash shop would be very easy to do with the progression system, but they chose not to do it.

I think most of those will be addressed, considering the game earned 80 million dollars.
I'll be honest. I'd rather they skip story for more boss content and/or more pals. And of course, bugs/fixes.
@@millirabbit4331 I mean, it'd be nice to have a bit more meaning for whatever the towers/tree is, and what the groups you fight even ARE...
