=> (1−x/54)²=24/54
=> (1−x/54)²=4/9

A barrel contains a mixture of wine and water in the ratio 3:1 . How much fraction of the mixture must be drawn off and substituted by water so that the ratio of wine and water in the resultant mixture in the barrel becomes 1:1? Can anyone tell how to solve this question? In this video the questions always mentioned how much quantity is removed, but what to do when such quantity we have to find as fraction???

Sir, in question 2, i encountered a question in mock where, the final ratio instead of 1:1 is instead .. 3:5 .. Then is there a way we can convert 5:3 initial ratio to Final ratio of 3:5 , and then apply the steps you are teaching. Or we would have to go through traditional method in that case. Can we convert 5:3 into 3:5 so as to make the milk parts equal so as solve as per the steps in your video. Thanks.
Here multiply 3 in first ratio so that the ratio will become 15:9 and multiply 5 in 2nd ratio so that it will become 15:25... Now milk in both the ratio is same i.e. 15 now proceed.. for clarity refer our video on RATIO AND PROPORTION... I have cleared this concept 😀👍
