Today I received my anticipated refurbished Garmin Vector 3S (single side power meter) from Aliexpress!
Watch as I unbox it, get it hooked up to the Garmin Connect App, and run it in comparison to my Wahoo Kickr in an ERG mode demonstration.
Overall, first impressions look great! Pedal arrived with a free gift of compatible cleats and seemed in better condition than the 90% option I chose.

Any regrets not going for the pair? Would you now try to update the right pedal or not wortht in your opinion?
I guess it would have been nice to see power differences between both legs, but I'm still pretty happy with the single - it would be similar to a single sided crank arm PM. There is a setting in the app that I adjusted called "Left Scale Factor" which allows for a manual calibration of the "balance" of the pedals. I bumped the value a bit until the power basically matched my kickr which indicates to me seems that my left side is a bit weaker than my right.
@@mikenaus Thanks for the response. Is it alright with the right pedal being a different made/stack/etc? Is it noticeable at all?
@@GreenEverAfter I don't notice a difference. I'm running the Shimano SPD SL on right side, Vector is Look Keo compatible and very similar
I'm consider to buy a pair from AliExpress, they are in 465 USD right now, Do you find any difference when sprinting or any problems of disconecting?, Greetings from Colombia
Hi Luis, I haven't noticed any issues as far as sprinting goes but I should mention I don't dive too deep into the data. I purchased more for outdoor training - following intervals, etc - so as long as I've done a good job I'm happy! I do notice the occasional drop but it usually happens after I've been still for a few minutes, like at a long red light or coffee stop. Otherwise data seems pretty solid!

Hi! I actually ended up buying two! One is performing perfectly well, the other seems to start having issues maybe 2 hr into a ride. So... So so? I've noticed a few places selling refurbs now that Garmin introduced the Rally line.
@@mikenaus is there any issues with the battery ? I've heard they rattle and it sometimes cuts out

Hey Emrah Akkan, totally fine one week in, though I've only used twice since filming. Both times comparing Kickr power on Zwift to Vector power on Wahoo Bolt. I'll give a better update once I've gone through some more intense intervals and (hopefully) a few outside rides!
