It was great, logical and based on her extensive experience. She did not take sides and was gentle with her negative reaction to Angel Reece. I would love to hear more from this women.

Yes, that’s good. Just heard NBA players the likes of Barkley and Lebron talk about this. And a comment stood out that usually in the NBA rookies are wild and immature, but this group of WNBA the veterans are acting immature 🤷🏽‍♀️

Tamika Catchings speaks with class and maturity. Her comments about how all players have a responsibility to protect each other's safety was right on. And she calls out how the refs fell flat on their faces for NOT reviewing the foul right then and there. When will the owners figure out that if Caitlin Clark is injured, that will be a HUGE decrease in people going to see the games and thus people will be LESS interesterd in watching the WNBA. Reese was also acting like a THUG in cheering on the dirty play of her team mate. Too immature to realize that she is a role model for many young girls, unless her point was to teach them to be thugs.

Yes shes new in the league and yes they'll be a period of adjustment, we all agree to that. However it looks to me like she was trying to hurt her, and reaction of Reese is just disgusting. My opinion, Chenney's(hollywood)a loose cannon, and Angel's always looked for a way to get noticed,(not by her skills)but by drama. Yes, Angel, can be good at the game. But, she's better at stirring things up (overshadowing how good Caitlin is). The WNBA needs to recognize Chenney's(hollywood) history is anger and hate. Both Chenney(hollywood) and Angel needs to spend more time playing the game and less on the drama. Promoting drama is the wrong way to play in the WNBA or any other sport.

Catchings gives gems of wisdom 1:40 stresses proving yourself in the game without the Chennedy kind of act. Maturity knows what is acceptable & what is not. The league must protect players. She calls Clark brilliant in college, some brilliance in WNBA. Game plans structure on stopping her. To me, her words outclass defenders of Chennedy & Reese.

I’ve been looking for someone to mention class, I’m sure that was just a typo. One thing I’ve noticed about the WNBA recently is a total lack of class and not just in the current players but coaches and refs as well. Hopefully it will rub off a little. Someone has got to set an example.

    • @davidmilton5887
      @davidmilton5887 21 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Wrong.
You don't change the competitive zeal that exist to appease a particular player.
The league would lose credibility if they did that for a superstar player.
Doing it for an unproven rookie would be a disaster.
The players themselves would have a big problem with that.
You can't tell a competitive person to go easy on their opponents.
CC has to earn respect like all the others did.

I've been a fan of the NBA Since the Mid 1980's Because of Jordan, Pippen and the Chicago Bulls and also admired other players, e.g., Reggie Miller, Smits, Kirk, Dr. Jay, regardless of weather they're black, white, hispanic, or European like Tony Kukoc simply because I love greatness in players of their Caliber. When Jordan retired, I stopped watching B.Ball and I never cared for the NCAA, men's or women's, Heck, I didn't even know that the WNBA existed to be honest until 2 months ago when I started watching Caitlin by accident... Now, all I do is try to "catch up" with her games and history from college 'til today's games where she plays. I thougth that this level of Bullying only happened in the men's games but simply because of their Rivalry and some sort of animosity (like between the Bulls & The Nicks) but not Hatred, Envy or "Entitlement" such it happens amongst women... This for me, is a new discovery of this Sad, Sad Truth... And this kind of behavior which you only see on Gangs, Jails or Mental Wards, is just NASTY and ABHORRING to say the least. I can not believe this actually goes on amongst women... And besides, you shouldn't bite that hand that feeds you because it is thanks to Caitlin and her greatness that Finally the WNBA is getting the level of popularity, recognition and Revenue in salaries and endorsments that Caitlin Clark is bringing to the table and ALL of These INGRATES, Unfortunately, Eat at the Same Table... This shouldn't be treated even as a hard foul... Carter should've been EJECTED and Penalized with Several Games Suspension without a salary because this can only be treated as BATTERY & ASSAULT, so the Rest of Them Bullies and Haters are Aware of the Consequences and Start to Cut their Crap... You don't like that she's a better player than you??? Don't hate... Be Better, Thrive, Practice and Rise Above. Greatness pays Dividends, Hatred only brings Hatred & Misery. Take Notes...

As a Caitlin Clark enthusiast, I had hoped Angel Reese would overcome any envy and recognize Caitlin Clark's contributions to the WNBA and her fellow players. Wise comments by Tamika Catchings. Indiana Fever teammates need to protect each other. WNBA needs to re-evaluate all of its BB referees and/or hire new, better officials.; because the current officials are missing/overlooking foul and violation calls on the floor, right in front of the official. PS: CC needs to widen her stance a little to help keep from falling, especially on defense, by moving her feet apart to slightly beyond shoulder width. (More later....)

Tamika Catchings had great advice to all of us. I, myself, think you cannot build character when no character exists. Angel Reese's beautiful appearance is just exactly that.. appearance. She has no character of honor. Ms. Carter while showing hatred from within has always lacked moral fiber. This is not her first rodeo and I am surprised that the league has accepted this type of character. How does the WNBA plan on parents with children wanting to attend the games when the very moral fiber of the organization does not reflect goodness, fairness, honor? I would not spend $5.00 for any ticket yet alone in the $100.00's to watch a cheap shot that should have banned Carter from the game. The refs are horrid! They are worse than horrid! An injury could sideline a career for life. What the hell are they thinking? I have never seen so many players on the floor all the time. These women, all of them, have worked hard to have their career and to have a ref that is NOT officiating the game according to the rule book needs to be fired! I will watch CC not because of the "Fever" but because she is exciting. It doesn't matter if the ball goes through the hoop all the time.. it is exciting when it does. Her passes are unbelievable! She loves the game and it radiates from her. When her teammates stop the damn petty crap and learn to play with her, they too will light the room up. Nothing was so much fun as to when Iowa was playing the score was close and the players became ONE. Not one of them said "I will get it done.. not even CC.. it was WE will get it done." and they did. Gabby in the Nebraska Iowa game reflexed that WE.. she was so exciting. And Hannah, how beautiful she play and how she remarked about the confidence that CC gave her. Fever can do that .. make it fun .. but they are 5 separate bodies just running up and down the court .. they are NOT ONE! Christy Sides by her record.. she bounced more than the ball between coaching jobs.. showed that she is NOT a head coach.. she couldn't even keep an assistant's job.. Get her out of there and get someone who can fix these players to being ONE.

Kudos to Tamika Catchings. I am so glad that a (former and legendary) Fever player spoke up and in such measured tones. It is also time that other WNBA players speak up as well. I can understand the reticence of players to criticize the behavior of players from other teams. They should understand that their silence is providing approval of such behavior. Likewise, the WNBA leadership should also speak out. No amount of jealousy or frustration justifies such unseemly and dangerous behavior on the court. Now that the players who engaged in this behavior have had time to reflect, they need to come out and apologize. They are hurting themselves and the WNBA with this behavior.

It is sad that she had to say anything at all!!!!!! We all witnessed exactly what she did!!!!!! I'm grateful she spoke up! I wish more had the resolve to do the same. I have a dream that one day, dirty play on the court will be unacceptable. That tough physical bball is as the spirit of the game dictates and everybody is treated equally!🙏🏽❤️🏀🇺🇸

Do you think Nike would still honor their contract if CC quit ?
How could they market her shoes under those conditions ?
