For those that this exact method did not work, try the following: Windows has somehow removed whatever you set input and output for Apex Legends before. While Apex Legends is running: on the taskbar, right-click the sound icon and select "Open Volume Mixer". Under "Apps" you should see Apex, and the volume bar might be greyed out. Drop down the menu next to it and select your input and output device. Should be G2G after this. Great video!
this was fixed in last update, but updates deployed today cause this to happen again. thankfully this video still exist, so I have to find this everytime APEX messes up.
i tried to restart windows audio but the problem is that the audio turn back on and i cannot change the output device, it makes me only use the system audio wich sucks. The audio that i get restarting windows audio is very weird, i wanna change the output device but when i click for changing it goes back to no audio device detected. I have no hope anymore, two days ago was perfect and now is screwed. Cannot even change to surround
I had stated this doesn't work for everyone it is just a simple workaround, but if you can back up your drive I'd recommend refreshing or reinstalling windows 🪟
@@tvpotatofps i just switched from steam to ea and it seems that in the ea version of the game there is no problem everything works fine like it should be. Guess i wont start up apex anymore from steam
