Lyrics:
I candy-coat and cover everything
But I'm still hiding underneath
It's been a long time
It's been a long time
A thousand faces looking up at me
Hands all pointed to the ceiling
Oh, what a feeling
I've got friends in highly low places
I'm standing on post, and I'm posted up
Can't afford to lose them
I've got friends in highly low places
I'll go inside when I wanna party
Grab a girl and dance
(Don't touch me)
Whoa oh, whoa, whoa oh
Why do I put myself in these situations?
Whoa oh, whoa, whoa oh
I keep pushing myself
Even though I can't take it at all
Girl, who taught you how to move like that?
At this pace you're at you're going way too fast
I, I saw you from across the room
It's me versus every guy
It's your choice
You choose
I've got friends in highly low places
It's been a long time
It's been a long time
And maybe baby, you could rise above the rest to meet me
Whoa oh, whoa, whoa oh
Why do I put myself in these situations?
Whoa oh, whoa, whoa oh
I keep pushing myself
Even though I can't take it at all [x2]
You're worth losing my self-esteem
Your clever words mean nothing more to me
Than a lot I've heard in a movie
You're worth losing my, losing my
Losing my self-esteem
You're not worth
Putting myself in these situations
Whoa oh, whoa, whoa oh
Why do I put myself in these situations?
Whoa oh, whoa, whoa oh
I keep pushing myself
Even though I can't take it at all [x2] - เพลง
This is exactly why you drop the song a few notes down when you play it live. It's much harder to hit those studio notes for most singers.
It doesn't sound like the problem here is studio vs live. His voice sounds clearly exhausted and probably overworked from tour.
Yeah he doesn't sound like drunk Tom people don't realize that singing pop punk songs are very taxing and hitting those high notes are not easy every time
Is it just me or are the two back up singers better than the lead? XD
the backups are better sadly :c
Actually they aren't really backups, the three of them basically share the same amount of lead vocals. They just happen to also be playing instruments.
This audience does NOT care lol. I love this band, but this was an off night.
the typical people who can go to SXSW are not at all FTSK usual demographic lol. must've been awk in between songs. even with the hometown advantage
I've loved Forever the Sickest kids for a while but I never realized how much better the back ups are than the chorus (yes I know his voice is really fatigued)
This performance is old, I'm pretty sure.
they are much better now.
This was before they even released their album...
Oh no
The crowd is not amused. lol
Where is Selena Gomez?
They had two versions of this song one with Selena Gomez and one without her
amazing what happens when autotune gets removed huh :P
Well this is kinda pathetic.
Fucking awful.
