Great vid, I just started a map where I only use 70s-90s equipment and do corn silage for dairy like the farms I grew up around. Keeps the game fresh and fun.
I'm trying to set up my map right now for corn silage and hay production for cattle I also plan on raising. Cattle being the main operation and everything else I do is in support of my cattle
These are some good ideas. I like to focus on a certain brand, that can switch things up. I also like to start with low money, my actual mortgage loan, and only the equipment that I own in real life. Then apply that to different types of maps.
#1.5 - Play multiple maps synced to Seasons. I have eight different maps I play one season at a time. That way all the maps are at the same time period. Maps are picked from different geographic locations and/or different styles i.e. one maps is an American all arable, another is a German with lots of grass for cows, etc. I also only use equipment that would be used in that area, so no brand new, state-of-the-art equipment in a small polish map. Every few weeks I change to a new map but it could be a few months before I go full circle. By then its like starting all over and learning how to do thinks over again.
I love precision farming. It is hands down the best DLC/mod. Makes the game so much more "hands on" in a way. Combined with Seasons, if you load a cotton GEO, and it really makes you wonder why the game never had it to begin with. Def gonna try a "vintage" playthrough and try to own the whole map.
Thank you, FC! After seeing this, I decided to jump into Maize+ and went and watched your series on that mod. I always thought it was too much, but after having you break it down into bite-sized pieces it made it accessible for me. Now with all the great maps that are out there, I am trying to decide on a new game/map to start :) Thanks for the great content. With you, MrSealyP, and Farmer Klein all dropping helpful, informative, and entertaining content I haven't got that "can't wait for FS22" feeling :) Take care and stay safe!
This may be the video I needed. I’m in a slump from trying to farm potatoes (LOL). I got so fed up with trying to get all them harvested I haven’t played FS in like 2 weeks. I think I’m just going to plow under what’s left and start some logging.
Two days ago I started playing on the Dreisternhof map, I needed a break from chellington and the vibe from that map was awesome, very vintage, for small and medium sized machines, really cool. I set the rules as: starting money 50k and the only thing I owned was The Beast (I always liked that thing and never got the oportunity to use it). Also, way I would make a living is from animals. I'd never done animals except from sheep and this map is great because you start with all pens available to you. Also, don't use anything I used in a previous playthrough, at least after a while. For example, I started with the ferguson truck because it's so cheap and so versatile and it's my starting truck in all my "survival" games, but I can't upgrade to something I have already used (so no lizard plow xD ). It changed my playstile a lot, I'm learning new things and having tons of fun. Also, this map has some nice forest areas so I might go into a bit of forestry after a while. And regarding production, I want to play chamberg valley but since finals are coming I'll have to put that one on hold. You gave awesome ideas! One final note, I saw your top10 favourite tractors videos. It would be nice to do a top10 favourite machines/tools. For example, my favourite thing in the whole game is the krone mower, I don't use it that often because I tend to play on smaller maps but on chellington oh man I'm having a blast! and those bailing contracts are a breeze. Sorry for the long comment man, hope you're doing well and awesome video =)
Great video and amazing advice. So important to find ways to make the game more interesting. In addition to these suggestions there’s a little hidden #11 I think. And that’s make some videos. Mostly inspired from watching your gameplay series, I dove into a roleplay series and have really enjoyed learning to play, record and edit videos. Thanks for the content you put out there!
Great video as usual! I started getting bored so i went back to stone valley x2 and turned on seasons (which i normally dont do). Using more smaller equipment than normal as well.
First I really avoided Seasons or Precision farming, not to talk about Maize plus. But once I give them shot, I just cant play without them anymore, I can play without Maize plus and Manure system, but if map suport those 2, then I play with all of them activated. Without seasons all of it feel just boring. Seasons and Precision farming is always on.
maize+ and precision farming work VERY well together..... i also had straw harvest in the mix but have dropped it in favor of strawme which adds straw to canola, soybeans, and corn
I avoided logging for a long time then forced myself to learn on Montana. I'm glad I did as I'm really enjoying using the Rottne pack on Mappa Italia now
The reason I hate logging has nothing to do with the actual game play of logging. It's the atrocious mouse controls when using the equipment and the "OMG YOU TOUCHED A PIXEL ON THE TRAILER LET ME LAUNCH MYSELF TO THE MOON!" physics. lol
For easier logging maybe try tree harvester Ponnse Bear and an autoload trailer? Yes its a bit cheaty, but hey, its your gameplay and You should have fun playing :-)
@@Darindul Haven't heard of the Ponnse Bear, but I saw a recent mod showcase vid that included the autoload trailer. That's something I would definitely add if I were going to do logging again.
Hey Farmer Cop! Another great video! Thanks for sharing it. Can you please let us know what map you were using in the opening -- the one with the castle and moat? Not sure if you used the same map throughout, but the one with the marina is cool, too. If you could let us know all the maps that you used in this vid, I'd be very grateful. Thanks!
competetive multiplayer is the best for motivation due the competitivity of it and if a fun farm for mucking around in the winter is added it can be a total blast
With #10 I do believe there is every state in the US on console & pc. I do believe as well that console & pc have most countries as well so that’s a huge +.
I did an Eastern European map, with limited budget, old (Eastern European) equipment, and seasons, with minimum time x5 - so 2 hours real time is about 1 game day. Also try a bit of realism - pick a map, google agriculture for the area the map is based, try to use regional equipment (not always easy, since most in game tractors are European variants!). So Scottish region - no corn, no soybeans, no cotton, no sugarcane, extra barley (think about it), extra beets and potatoes. Pennsylvania - corn, wheat, oats, barley, sorghum, soybeans, tobacco, sunflowers, potatoes and sweet potatoes - so sorghum and tobacco are a problem, but you can do the rest (just call sweet potatoes = more potatoes!). And Dairy is the largest Ag Industry - so get that massive cow farm going!!
I've really enjoyed FS19 since they've added precision farming. I don't use it on all maps, but on some I do. Also try doing the farming contracts. One map all I do is farm contracts.
Thats the thing bro, there are to many maps and equipement, i either feel like stuck in a loop farming all day, or staring at the mod hub for hrs, same loopish thing:P:P:P
