Great review! I got Ko'Mo, Lemurian Savage, and the Huntsman Pack. Just like you I'm fascinated with these figures! But yeah had to do something about the ankles and toes. But i had to get a Slate from a someone who went all in the first wave, to customize. The company did mention in my vid they will make adjustments for future waves regarding feet.
Very impressive. I am sure they can tweak the tooling a little to tighten the ankle joints, then the product would be close to perfect based on your review. Definitely great articulation and paint apps.
Wonderful video and glad you took a look. The ankle thing is frustrating but it’s also their first eave. I’m willing to give them a break for first wave as long as they address it in future waves. No company gets it perfect right out of the gate although they were close.
What method did you use to fix h ankles? I got the 2 named characters and have to use doll stands to keep them upright. I do wish that these had a "flight stand" hole or something so I could pose them more dynamically. If anyone has any recommendations on good (but inexpensive) action posing stands, I would appreciate them.
Pretty sure by fixing the loose joints he meant 'Kiki loose joints'. It's a little bottle, like a glue and apparently it works great with loose figures 👍🫡
Ninja, 100% agree, you nailed my exact experience with wave 1. The ankles are the weak link in the chain, and it’s like that on the other wave 1 figures. I also went with wave 3, so I’m looking forward to those now!
I ordered the slate and the huntsman gear pack from wave one. And went all in on wave two. Today, after opening it up, I went and ordered two of the lemurian figs. This is a next level line that should be sold in stores. It's that damn good.
I'm curious to know this as well. Theres a product on ebay called fix loose joints by Kiki. I'm guessing thats what he used. I tried using floor wax. It really didn't do much.
@@NickDoobs That’s what I’m assuming but was hoping articulatedninja would respond. Thanks for the input. Yeah, people suggested water base polyurethane but it’s not that good or it needs Hella coats.
Not sure if anyone posted this sorry if they did, but the bare arms and lower legs for your figure you got come in the armory pack. With a shit ton of beautiful head sculpts and weapons if you want the naked body look
Absolutely beautiful figures, all that paint and sculpt for the price is phenomenal. Even the articulation is grand. I agree though, I can't stand toe joints. 😂 Been a few videos since I commented man, still the goat of the toy review game man. Life has been busy for me, got a new job, got a girlfriend that supports my hobbies. Thank God for all this. I got money now to further support my nerd hobby. Funny thing is, I find myself caring less about Corporations like Hasbro and caring more for 3RD party and independent companies like Four Horsemen and Savage Crucibles. I want my money spent to be worth if.
Can't wait too get these figures. But yeah mythic legions NEED to get better articulation cause these new toys r killing it especially the orcs from 5ktoys.
He is absolutely amazing! Sadly I feel it will be hard to get him from my country. The toy stores here, really stock on very few figures. I've been having a hard time ordering. But I love him and I will try to get him!
I have lemurian and its character pack and the nil vilmir on po at bbts. I was a little iffy when the first protos were shown because you never know how the final product will come out but after seeing a bunch of reviews it seems like they're even BETTER than expected.
I knew I could count on you to tell it how it is homie…sheeeesh,i backed this up and also got the entire wave as a prize for their diorama contest that you judged.Hahaha keep up the great work.😲🤙
I backed the warrior and Harbinger from the kickstarter. But i got most of the first wave fron the site. They are already shpping pre-orders for the site i can't wait to get wave 2. I got some figures to go with my savage crucible figures. I got a couple mythic legions horses, storm collectibles skeletons and frazetta girls Darkwolf. Also the wolves and boar from D20 studios.
I also have a problem with toe articulation, but I can understand why they did it. Either it's to make it easier for the figure to stand on its own without a stand, or to prevent the foot from breaking.
Have you not seen how these can be mixed with Valaverse and Classified? Apparently you can swap at the waist and get some super cool tactical lizardman operatives!
This would make for a perfect Argonian substitute for an Elder Scrolls type collection. It be nice to see some variants with space armor to emulate the Cristang from Expeditionary Force. I'd love a Sgt Jakes figure. Also a green one with a lab coat for a Doctor Connors.
The very reason I've subscribed to fan channels such as this one to save money and disappointment. Hats off to ya and many other content providers Ninja
They achieve very different things, and Mythic Legions will always hold a very special place in my heart. FourHorseMen cleaved out a creative model of operation and arguably paved a new way for other toy lines to follow. But in the end I did gradually withdral from Mythic (Cosmic is an whole other story haha). To me they are essentially brilliant but stiff mannequins through which awesome costumes, accessories and sheer personaility can shine and be showcased--but due to limited budget, I eventually turned to other lines with more attractive porportions to quench the primal desire to violently articulate figures, to wooosh them around, and to adire them in wildly dynamic poses. It's a bit of a sad reality. But still, Mythic will always have my adoration.
I went heavy with wave 2 on Savage Crucible I had to get that Frazetta Warrior with Ball and Chain Figure. I did get this figure and I did have trouble standing him up but a Valaverse stand fixed that.
Was able to order a couple of the wave one figures direct from SC and prices were same/good. Only one was sold out. Will be interesting to see what delivery time is as they stated wave one was shipping May 1. DID see that some are hitting Secondary market (Mercari) for double the price 67-75 as one might expect.
For me the two problems I had were the toes like you said Ninja, and the elbows. I felt the elbows could have crunched up a bit more. I really hope they still have some Savages in stock next week. I need more. I could only afford eight Slate figures when I backed the Kickstarter.
I got in during the Kickstarter. Great looking figures, amazing even. However, loose ankles on both. Makes it a bit hard to stand. Still. I'm gunna order more...
The company that makes these used to make custom mythic legions parts. They stopped so they could focus on making their own line. Wish they still made the custom pieces, because they were awesome.
Can anyone tell me what that figure on the left is at 6:06? That would be the perfect size I need for a custom SoulCalibur Lizardman I'm trying to get made.
Great video! Also, to add to the integrity of Rob and the team, they have acknowledged the issue with the ankles are are working with the factory. So, it’s a breath of fresh air to see that happening.
Brave indeed... but at least they would get a truthful review. I have a handful at best, legions. What holds them back for me getting more is....articulation.
Yeah, I when they start to put out nights and human characters. Mythic Legion is going to have to step their game up and I am a huge mythic Legion fan, but they don’t have to step the game up because they are articulation is the only thing lacking.
I disagree. I just don't think Legions needs to be more articulated. They're fine as is. Leave the heavy articulation to other lines. I will always prefer aesthetics over articulation.

These figures only just came out yet they don't even have them for sale on their website. BBTS pre orders sold out how many did they make 20? Why not make enough figures so everyone who wants them cam get them?
Mythic legions have improved the articulation but still nit at par to this! …and yes like you, I’m a Mythic Legions fan/collector. It is what it is, I still love their work. Competition is always best for the consumer!
I am a fan of the D&D Dragonborn race, so these reptiles appeal to me. On the other hand, they're more reptilian, than draconian, so overall, I'm on the fence on these figures. After your review, I'm still on the fence. We'll see. Also, studios need to come out with more female figures.
No disrespect but I think you're missing some important info about Mythic Legion's. Mythic Legion's are designed to have pop and swap parts. The Horsemen chose to limit the articulation so you can easily create your own custom fantasy figures. It's a trade-off. The lack of super articulation is a deal breaker for some collectors. The loss of the pop and swap feature would be a deal breaker for other collectors.
So you can only have pop and swap with single hinge joints literally from 10 years ago ? Other companies have already proven that's not true but no worries time will tell. I love legions but they focus on sculpt and paint work with is usually awesome with them but the shield I noticed they hide behind is usually the pop and swap concept. Which other companies who figures are also heavily popped and swapped and kitbashes have already proven is not true.
