The way he controlls the rhythm of the game is absolutely worldclass. I bet everything i got you would lose the ball every time being in his position. If this is prime Xavi then I think prime Pirlo was a much better player individually. Easily two levels below Zidane. Without Iniesta, Messi creating spaces for him with their dribbling skills, without Busquets maintaining balance between attack and defense at the central, without Villa and Pedro’s tireless running and pressing of opponents up front, by no means would Xavi achieve that much.
Comparing Pirlo to Xavi is like comparing Ronaldinho with Zidane, Ronaldinho was better at his peak, but Ronnie's prime version lasted for 3 years, while Zizou's best version lasted for 6-7 years. And that's why Xavi is a better player than Pirlo. Pirlo's prime lasted for 4 years, and Xavi's peak lasted for 7 years...
