i think youre on to something but i think sukuna's innate ability is the one to consume and take powers and his twin's was the shrine twins are supposed to be like two halves of the same being in JJK and so one cooks and the other eats by eating his twin he gained the shrine ability and yuji, according to the narrator, "awoke" after his 7 black flashes so i think shrine is Yuji's innate technique that he awoke after the flashes and i think he gained the power to take on abilities of the things he eats after becoming sukuna's vessel that would explain why yuji for the longest time didnt have access to the shrine ability and why he seemed to have no technique since the one he did get from being a vessel was consumption

I somewhat disagree with that since in-universe, jjk treats twins as 1 being (or something like that i don't remember the exact statement but it was regarding Mai and Maki), meaning, twins should be born with the same CT even should only one of them actually have access to the CT. That being said, I think shrine in it of itself is a CT that stores things so I agree with the consuming thing. Anyways, just my take on it feel free to tell me otherwise

I might I have the terminology slightly wrong but I feel like people are over focused on the Shrine/Malevolent Shrine naming conventions and forgot that a cursed technique isn't a domain expansion. It was, then i had to re record and re edit due to leaks, so i tweaked it alil at the end. and made my point clearer to suit the narrative of 258 but you could tell how far back it was made lol but my theory still stands so far i guess
@@GrayShrineIt's a good theory but i don't think sukuna has this big pool of techniques as the brain can only handle 4 max but maby cz Sukuna ate his twin he can handle 8 idk. Also you said shrine may not even be sukunas original ct asuming Sukuna has a lot of techniques his domain only uses cleave and dismantle this can mean that shrine is his original technique as domains are a reflection of the sorcerer rather than their techniques.
@@matijapintaric8056 The Shrine not being his Technique was just a extra to me, just based on the black box statement, and when i saw how he could change his domain in the latest chapters, i thought he might have taken that from his brother, it's not completely backed up which i understand, but i thought it's fun to point out, in a way maybe he tweaked his domain again, considering he use slashes cuz he just seem to like em. as he doesn't resort to his fire too much. but in the end i think no one pointed out the mereum from HxH resemblance so i have my money on that :D also thank you for your insights

Also i don't think he changed his domain in 258 i think it simply looks like that as Sukuna brought it out with bindig vous so it is like a stitched together version of his broken domain. Also now that he opened his box i'm hoping to see his domain use the flames and maby some other techniques, maby the reason his domain only used slashes is becouse it was restricted by his box and now that it has opened the domains full abuilities can shine.
