Ride the creative waves when they come. Everyone has dry spells, but that's what creativity is, a combination of highs and lows. It can't be manufactured. We all need to take advantage of our inspiration when it strikes.
Mad respect for using Perceval as the font of choice for your cutaway text screens - Duel Masters is truly the greatest TCG of all time 🤩

My worst challenge is in interactions as a rule, I've been stuck for months without being able to find a battle that I like...
I don't have a concrete structure, I can't find something cool
Dragonball has an interesting one with other fighters joining at the last minute to lend their power.
It makes for a fun twist.
If you like twists, that is.
I struggle with battle systems, too.
I've been looking at a few different ones lately for a future video. Hopefully I find a few interesting mechanics to show everyone
The pixelated art at @4:40 is from Duelyst, now relaunched as Duelyst 2. Great online game. You place these units on a grid board and that opens a lot of design and tactics for fun matches. More people need to play it.

@@ShardTCG If you watch the first 5 seconds of this video, they are at the top.
In duelyst, during gameplay you only see the sprite animated instead of the whole card. You only see them during card pack opening and deck building
