Dan Vasc has no equal. He is simply the best. He can sing all the ranges always in perfect pitch. He is so entertaining, loveable and a very excellent human being. Thank you for your reactions. He will not hurt his voice because he is opera trained and knows how to take care of his instrument.

He puts on a performance with each video! Sometimes it’s like watching a play unfold on a stage. He isn’t just singing the song, he’s “performing” it.. a sign he truly understands the meaning behind the words of the song! Oh, and when he grabs that mic, get ready for “it”!!
...which made it SO funny, in this one, at the end of the outro, when he had to grip that mic in a HURRY, in order to save it! 😀

But, I have to admit that the Wuthering Heights one doesn't make it to any of my recommendations lists. I admire his spunk, courage, skills, but, imo, it just doesn't suit him. I be like the Grandma that tells him "it's nice, Dear, now go wash up for dinner." Instead of the me Grandma that is still headbanging, humming, & dancing around even after the music has stopped. Dan leaves the best ever lasting impressions!
@@umarae27 Personally, I love Dan's "Wuthering Heights," but that's possibly because I read the book over and over and over again, during my teen years, so I hear all of the bits and pieces in that song, and the whole story comes flashing back into my brain.
Now the few songs that I DON'T care for as much, are the ones he chose from NSP. On the other hand, I do recognize that there are things in most of those songs that might actually help some teens recognize things NOT to do with their ongoing lives.
For instance, I listened to "Danny, Don't You Know," and thought at first, just kind of, "...ummm...hmmm...nope..." Then I watched it again, giving the words more attention and thought. Also, I realized that Dan posted it on his channel very shortly before his 29th birthday...and the song points to that at one point. Then my daughter and I watched it together and laughed through most of it. When it was finished, I said, "We probably should NOT suggest this to your three teenage boys!" We laughed again, and then, suddenly, we looked at each other, and said almost the same things to each other, almost simultaneously: "On the other hand, it actually might be a good thing for them to listen to, from someone who can speak to them from his own recent experiences!" Those three teens (her oldest of eight children) are 19-1/2, just-barely-16 a couple of days ago, and will-be-15-in-June. Plus the next boy down (she has six boys and two girls) just turned 12 in November. I don't know if she followed through, but I do know she wouldn't be running to turn off the music if she caught them watching Dan singing that song. 😀
@GrandmasGotGraceLW I think it's the key itself that disturbs me, bc, I also can't handle Kate Bush's admirable performance. Dan sings it as admirably, if not more so, but, even so, I just can't.
As for NSP, I love Danny's song, key, pitch, narrative, everything. Plus, it's very helpful, like you said. But, I can't stand their joy riding song even though it's upbeat, great key, etc. I knew too many kids who didn't understand the sarcasm of the song.
I've never liked Bohemian Rhapsody, either, but Dan's rendition has me recommending it all the time.
I also love Dan's rendition of Chop Suey, which I couldn't find the heart for from the original SOAD performance. (Too much going on for my brain to absorb?). Bit now I even like the original, thanks to Dan.
I love how Dan can & will tackle anything he desires to tackle, and I highly respect him for that, but, like I said, even so....

Dan does a fabulous job on Nightwish and Evanescence covers. I think he has 11 Nightwish covers. He’s never been onstage with them, but you should check out a fan video done of Last Ride of the Day by the reactor Viking, where he mashes together Dan’s video with a video of a live Nightwish concert. It’s astonishing- he’s singing in her key, and the tempo is perfectly matched. I’m thrilled that you’re appreciating Dan’s artistry so quickly. It takes quite a few different exposures to really grasp the extent of his talent. He has a spectacular voice, unbelievable breath control, tremendous expressiveness, and power and charisma to burn. Thanks, I appreciate it! It doesn't take long to tell that Dan has a lot of talent and he also feels the music. A lot of artists can get up there and put on a show, but he's one that puts his whole self into it and really feels what he's expressing through song.

@@Bimi-dd2wl Dan disse a um tempo atrás que essa época foram tempos difíceis para ele, a banda no início não queria paga-lo pelo trabalho e no fim pagaram bem pouco e nem colocaram ele nos créditos do álbum.. Acredito que por este motivo ele nunca menciona a sua participação no álbum, ele não ganha nada com a venda deste álbum porque ele foi apenas as músico contratado.

I was going to mention that Viking Reacts recently put together a mashup of Floor and Dan both singing "Last Ride of the Day," in an overlaid video mashup, but I see that others have already done so. Obviously, I still have mentioned it (grin). Anyway...if you check it out on his channel, you can see exactly how accurate Dan made his cover of Floor singing THAT song. I'm betting a mashup of THIS song would have the same results. 😀
Carlos made that mashup in about 25 minutes! Literally! We had been watching him premiere his reaction to Dan's version of the song, and he brainstormed that mashup during that short period of time, and then he said goodbye. Literally less than 1/2-hour later, he let us all know that the mashup was done, and boy is it ever AWESOME!
I'd say, "Go for it!" If you need any help doing it, I'm sure Carlos would be glad to give you a hand. He's been really busy over the past couple of weeks, with no video output since way early in January. So I wrote him a message on Patreon, and he answered yesterday, saying that he almost has everything ready to get back into creating videos, and all is well--even though it's been a bit of a struggle settling into his new job, plus he and his wife have been revamping several areas in their own home.
Looking forward to more Dan reactions. Thanks for this great one. 😀

Dan has no music video cameraman. When he made that particular video, he only had the one light and the one camera (in his newly-redone garage studio). These days he has two lights and two cameras. He sets the cameras ahead of time, to the way he wants them to cover his movements.

So, not wanting to necessarily compare between singers but my point was that he did a great job, I've only heard Floor do that song before, and I think it would be fascinating to see them both perform together. To this point I think I've only compared two singers together on the channel, and that's Steve Perry and Arnel Pineda from Journey. To me, no comparison. Steve wins hands down.
