Well, there are very very few people with haki as strong as garp, and you still need an incredible deal of physical strength to break through ice the way garp does. It really is a combination of the two things that breaks ice so big so fast, and pretty much the only one that has both is Garp

I still believe akainu wins high diff aginst garp in 1v1. But yes in MARINEFORD, akainu had already taken massive hits and damage before so is garp jumped on him, I'm sure akainu wouldn't be able to take more. But what do you know? I feel sorry for Aokiji. The man is actually a proper Marine. He obeys orders but at times he caves in to his humanity, especially with Nico a Robin. He had to have the great tragedy of being the one ordered to take out his best friend Saul, a compatriot. That has definitely affected his soul. Now that Akainu has become his boss and not a colleague, Akainu doesn’t see eye to eye with Aokiji and they clashed over matters in a violent and heartbreaking manner. Aokiji has gone through a lot and now he’s facing his past again, while being pummeled by Garp

It's interesting how One Piece has changed. I remember when being a Devil Fruit user was a big deal, and there was information on how much a Devil Fruit cost, often an arm and a leg. Anyone who ate one would be cursed in exchange for power and could do things no ordinary human could. However, I never really liked the whole Haki concept as it kind of defeats the purpose of Devil Fruits being cursed. I can understand if Haki is used defensively to make someone impervious to Devil Fruit users, but using it offensively in fights makes you wonder who the real Devil Fruit eater is. To me, Garp looks almost inhuman and fights as if he ate one of the strongest devil fruits. He jumps around, smacking Aokiji as if Aokiji, a former Marine admiral, is nothing. It's like he's moving around like Goku. The same goes for Sanji; when he fights, his foot catches on fire. I haven't watched One Piece in so long, but I just hope the ending they have in store is well worth it.
agreed Haki has gone way too far as a concept. It was only introduced to give people a way to actually hurt Logias, but now its just the do all toolbox.
We forget Roger wasn't a devil fruit user, to reach that level takes alot. like alot alot. it's to say a basic human vs a basic devil fruit user , basic devil fruit user will always win, u can know Haki but it doesn't make u the strongest. Control at ths level had to be the minimum to be the head of the previous generation who trained these guys in my opinion.
You have this opinion because you see Garp who has no DF is below Kuzan who has one. It seems hard to accept if you think about it in that way. One piece verse are no ordinary kinds of humans DF, Haki? Even without those most of them are superhumans who can lift boulders and have the strength of a beast. Just look at Zoro before he learns Haki, he's just a human but he can do almost anything even with the limits of a normal human in OP verse
devil fruit is a thing for normal people, but for less majority who can use haki not so much, but combine haki + DF vs Haki only user ? DF could make make a different
Interesting, for me it was the complete opposite. For Devil Fruits it was always so random to me. Like whoever gets lucky and eats the strongest one automatically is the strongest. And would these guys still be strong if it weren`t for their ridicoulus powerups. Haki gave me some consistency and showed that it takes more than just relying on your devil fruit to make it far, as well as you dont need a devil fruit necessarily to be strong. And still it allowed them to be strong abilities, which makes one piece so interesting and diverse to me.
Akaniu was resisting haki attacks from Whitebeard commanders But its very possible that Garp can internal destruction like Rayleigh and Luffy if he can use that technique, then Akainu would been easily bodied
I like how garp tightly closes his eyes when he uses blue hole. Really shows the complex emotion he's going through when attacking kuzan, combined with the disappointed look he gives at the end

Blue hole isn't necessarily space, it's just space adjacent. A blue hole is a reference to an ocean occurrence where a void in the ocean opens up due to the ancient eruption from Volcanos. Many, and I mean, MANY people get stuck in them and die. They are considered INSANE danger level because of how easy it is to get sucked into them. So for Garp to use this is almost certain a kill move.
I think a lot of people don't realize how haki is used by Garp. The 3 ices that punched back by Garp which didn't show in this video, is infused with Haki (see the red effect animation) thats why Kuzan HAS to dodge it, while normally Logia user can go through physical object. Same logic for Blue Hole, you see the huge amount of Haki (Again red effect animation) used for the throw down. Kuzan couldn't merely use his logia DF, but create an ice shield at 0:42 underneath his body to minimize the damage taken.

It's interesting how One Piece has changed. I remember when being a Devil Fruit user was a big deal, and there was information on how much a Devil Fruit cost, often an arm and a leg. Anyone who ate one would be cursed in exchange for power and could do things no ordinary human could. However, I never really liked the whole Haki concept as it kind of defeats the purpose of Devil Fruits being cursed. I can understand if Haki is used defensively to make someone impervious to Devil Fruit users, but using it offensively in fights makes you wonder who the real Devil Fruit eater is. To me, Garp looks almost inhuman and fights as if he ate one of the strongest devil fruits. He jumps around, smacking Aokiji as if Aokiji, a former Marine admiral, is nothing. It's like he's moving around like Goku. The same goes for Sanji; when he fights, his foot catches on fire. I haven't watched One Piece in so long, but I just hope the ending they have in store is well worth it.
agreed Haki has gone way too far as a concept. It was only introduced to give people a way to actually hurt Logias, but now its just the do all toolbox.
We forget Roger wasn't a devil fruit user, to reach that level takes alot. like alot alot.
it's to say a basic human vs a basic devil fruit user , basic devil fruit user will always win, u can know Haki but it doesn't make u the strongest. Control at ths level had to be the minimum to be the head of the previous generation who trained these guys in my opinion.
You have this opinion because you see Garp who has no DF is below Kuzan who has one. It seems hard to accept if you think about it in that way. One piece verse are no ordinary kinds of humans DF, Haki? Even without those most of them are superhumans who can lift boulders and have the strength of a beast. Just look at Zoro before he learns Haki, he's just a human but he can do almost anything even with the limits of a normal human in OP verse
devil fruit is a thing for normal people, but for less majority who can use haki not so much, but combine haki + DF vs Haki only user ? DF could make make a different
Interesting, for me it was the complete opposite. For Devil Fruits it was always so random to me. Like whoever gets lucky and eats the strongest one automatically is the strongest. And would these guys still be strong if it weren`t for their ridicoulus powerups. Haki gave me some consistency and showed that it takes more than just relying on your devil fruit to make it far, as well as you dont need a devil fruit necessarily to be strong. And still it allowed them to be strong abilities, which makes one piece so interesting and diverse to me.
Am sure no one realized that Garp after hitting those ice back at kuzan Garp transferred haki to them that’s y kuzan was trying not to be hit by them
Yeah, you can see that he was ready to just phase through them but realises, just before, that he can't and he has to dodge.
Obviously someone hasn't been training their observation haki.

It's not just Haki. Garp is just strong. You don't need Haki to throw someone. He uses Haki just to grab Aokiji. The yeet was all pure human strength.

Blue hole isn't necessarily space, it's just space adjacent. A blue hole is a reference to an ocean occurrence where a void in the ocean opens up due to the ancient eruption from Volcanos. Many, and I mean, MANY people get stuck in them and die. They are considered INSANE danger level because of how easy it is to get sucked into them. So for Garp to use this is almost certain a kill move.

I think a lot of people don't realize how haki is used by Garp. The 3 ices that punched back by Garp which didn't show in this video, is infused with Haki (see the red effect animation) thats why Kuzan HAS to dodge it, while normally Logia user can go through physical object.
Same logic for Blue Hole, you see the huge amount of Haki (Again red effect animation) used for the throw down. Kuzan couldn't merely use his logia DF, but create an ice shield at 0:42 underneath his body to minimize the damage taken.
That look Garp made clearly says how much having to fight his former pupil hurt.
