    Why not use solar panel as the signal source itself? Kind of the fork method, would work in 2d and 3d (with Fresnel lens) too.

    Almost 3 yrs following you my friend so this time with all respect i will ask you to try a different simplified approach for this idea with 4x LDR, 4x 10k resistor, 2x TDA2822, 2x L293, 2x Stepper motor and a solar cell, my version was not pleasant to the eye but was functional without batteries, it will start facing the sun as soon as there is enough light to move the motors.
