Most of the voicings I am using in this video are standard drop 2 guitar voicings. I have options that use the top strings (4321) and middle strings (5432) on my website: www.mlukesanders.com/blog Sometimes, I am using these voicings to imply rootless extensions. So if I have an F-7 chord (F Ab C Eb), then I can imply the same chord sound with the 9th extension (G) by playing an Abmaj7 voicing (Ab C Eb G). It's an easy way to make playing sound more mature without having to learn every voicing under the sun!
What kind of chord voicings are you using while comping? I really like the style of comping you're playing in!
