I loved how Javed Akhtar shows a book Signed by Faiz and says "Kya samjhti hai aap?" and then how he talks about the luxury that feels like its someone else's. and also the poetry he recites that Krishna Chandra wrote for his book Tarkash, that was so good, specially how Javed Saab recites it.

Based on my reading of daily column of writer "Jaiprakash chowksey" in danik bhaskar. - it was Javed akthar who wanted to break the jodi and work separately. - post breakup, Javed wrote scripts separately starring Anil Kapoor but could not create that magic. -post breakup Salim wrote successful movie "Naam" starring Sanjay dutt. - it was Yash Chopra who ask Javed to write lyrics because he is in poetry.
Would have loved to know why they made the thakur landlord the positive character and the outlaw rebel the villain in a complete turning around the previous pro-poor, anti-thakur tendency in movies (which also came back in the later 80s) movies
Because Gabbar Singh was no robin hood. He was a dacoit who cared about no one but himself. Thakur was not a zamindar or nobility in the movie he was a retired cop who was respected by the villagers.
Does a studio really matter? Yea looks good production, that's pretty much it. Why not get a good setup for home? Itne saare ache successful podcasts hai nowadays on Zoom and other platforms.
another great episode. have to agree about what you guys said about angry young men. could have been better with some new and unheard anecdotes. Dewar has to be their best work though i always have a soft spot for Shan. its such a fun film with great chemistry between the leads. One movie which doesn't get its due is Shakti, its such a great movie with some brilliant acting. Would have loved to hear more about it and the working relationship between Dilip Kumar and AB. It would have been fascinating.
The amount of times when Urfi’s show has been promoted is annoying. I mean if you’re getting paid for it congratulations but why waste so much time talking about it than the actual content topic of the podcast. Regular listener here.. keep up the good work 🙏😇
I enjoyed it...its very similar to the way they pull snahil's leg with Tarzan the wonder car...if they get something to make fun of ...they go with it ...have seen it many of their stuff..and if they did get paid for it as you say..then wow!!!
