This brings back so many childhood memories. My parents use to make it exactly the same way. Whoever was making glutinous rice cakes would have to haul that heavy wooden tub around. My favorite is cutting it into pieces and fry it with a pinch of salt. Old folks love heating it in the fireplace and dipping it in pure sugar cane syrup. Makes me miss my grandma and dad.
Thats how Hmong/Miao people traditionally make our rice cakes too! We use egg yolks to help so it wont stick to the wrappers. We usually grill then over fire and eat with sugar cane syrup or pan fry in oil with a bit of salt.

@@mechannel7046 she did perfectly fine responding to me as she did. I don't know how to use Google Translate, and being as if she was able to respond and she did it looks like I don't need to. Other Asian ( as in Chinese) have translations built right into their videos. Perhaps she understands the process of translating her videos as poorly as I understand using Google Translate. As I said I'm satisfied with the response I got, hopefully in the future she'll be able to use English subtitles on her videos until then I will enjoy them as they are.

I said nothing derogatory and everything complimentary about her postings, so don't concern yourself with anything that I send to her. I will continue to compliment her in English, and that is the way that it is.

我喜欢吃糯米糕团，这几天正在吃，超市买的，上海叫团子，台湾叫麻署，广东叫cei, 或bo cang，但我喜欢吃有馅的，芝麻或花生。有些人说对胃不好，但我胃病发时最爱吃它。
槌打糯米，小时候附近有家点心店，快过年就用这方法做年糕, 但用的是石臼石槌，由身强力壮的店主槌打。

看大碗妹妹做手工糍粑，有点像我们家在做手工捏陶，不同的是您做好了烧烤后可以吃，我的陶捏了窑烧了，杯杯碗碗只能用，不能吃。每次看您在吃，好羡慕喔。。。
