  • "...Seeking solutions is something that you should be not ashamed of and sometimes even proud of . I think that people that are able to share their intimate stories in times like this, where it's still not that accepted, I think it's very brave. And I think it's something that should bring people pride. So I try as much as I can with the platform that I have. And through doing this with you guys to share the fact that I have weaknesses, the fact that I am vulnerable and that at times I go through difficult things and I'm not ashamed of it. That's what makes us human and also helps us communicate with other people and kind of touch other people's heart." - Noga Erez

Today we’re releasing our next video in our “Song That Found Me At The Right Time” series. This one features singer, songwriter and producer, Noga Erez performing the song “Who R U?” by Anderson .Paak.

Erez's most recent album "Kids" is a near perfect pop album that sonically crosses from rap to pop and back again all with ease. It's Noga's voice that seems to transcend definition as it shifts from beautiful croon to smooth rhymes. The production, which creates in collaboration with her partner and co-producer Ori Rousso, is also incredible as it also plays with the complicated relationships between pop and rap.

To us, Noga is an amazing and unique artist in that, lyrically, she takes on themes such as anxiety and internal struggles, while her sound and visuals are irresistibly catchy and uplifting. Initially the track “Views” inspired us to reach out to her, with the song's take on the dangers and shallowness of social media but through humorous eyes. It is both fresh sounding and completely relevant to some of our current collective mental health struggles. We also love how Noga has spoken out about the responsibility of artists and all humans to inject good into the world in whatever ways they can. Creating this video together, as well as experiencing her electric live shows, has only crystallized our feeling that she is a thrilling voice in pop music and in mental health advocacy.

Since discovering Noga Erez's music at the end of 2021 she's been running through my head, keeping me going each day. Her creative depth and overall vibe are challenging but also encouraging, a rallying cry to expressing pain while making you laugh, smile and dance. I also really love how she reworks her own music so you get different flavors of the same songs ("You So Done" from KIDS and KIDS Against the Machine, for example), they become little mental health tools for when you want to break something or just whisper.

I didn't realize that learning music was something people do, I always just subconsciously did it when my head wasn't clear. Well that's my revelation for today, thank you Noga for helping me realize that you're such an inspiration 🥰
