Potch seem opal from Cooper Pedy. The color runs diagonally through the seem. This rough is often already discarded for specimens. Not really good for cutting. The price outweighs the gains. Color is minimal. I have fought pieces of this material for years my friend.
It is quite exciting working on a new opal. But it is damn frustrating when they dont cooperate!
Depends on the stone, honestly, some isn't exactly exciting because I can already tell there's nothing 😅

I can guarantee you it's from Grawin. But it could be from Turkmenistan for all it matters, it's a dud either way.
