Big Bear Lake MTB Trail Guide #1 | South Shore: Fall Line & Skyline Full Tour 4K

Big Bear Lake, California offers a ton of great single-track riding all sides of the lake. In this trail guide episode we will be focusing on the south side of the lake, east of Snow Summit Bike Park. You can use this review to plan the best DH route off of the chair, or come up early season like I do and spend a day pedaling the trails in the video. If I were to put this on my GPS on my phone. What do I put to get there. I type southshore and it says it's permanently closed. I know you have a trailforks app but it's not working on my phone. Shit is very frustrating.

Trail Forks is the best way to navigate these trail systems because it works without the need for data connection. After the fires, and all the snow, we will see when it opens this season. 👍🏼

I find it disappointing when I travel to a new trail system and the black diamond trails are nothing more than greens. Where I live in the Seattle area, a black diamond will require a good degree of skill and a burly bike.

I do agree that Southern California ratings tend to focus around the crux move rather than the average difficulty of the whole trail. Which often leads to a rating that doesn't translate to other regions.
