How come their palm is out but must archers draw with palm in? I find far more ergonomic palm out

Olympic recurve archers shoot with palm in because they have to hold the string (with a finger tab). Compound archers (like in this video) usually shoot palm out because they have a release-aid (a hinge release and button release). Some compound archers will even shoot palm down with an index-finger release aid. Hope that helps.
