WOW!!!! I am surprised that someone finally talks about this game.... ITS MY FAVORITE ARCADE GAME EVER!!!!! Trix was pretty OP when used properly. He was my favorite too next to Stern. I did noticed the death cries from other movies when I was a kid. LOL.... AND YES!!!! If I had the money I would the buy the F***** cabinet as with other Sega classics (After Burner moving cabinet and Altered Beast) and Midway arcades (NBA JAM and MK1).
Hey, cool Video! Just stumbbled about your new channel. I always watched your stuff back in the days like 10 years ago. My alltime favorite arcade game and sequel is Mortal Kombat 2. I even have an original arcade of that in my living room. I will always remember how i've seen a picture of it in a gaming magazin and was blown away because it got my favorite character rayden on its side. At this moment, at the age of 13, i've sworn to myself that one day i will own that freaking beauty and have it now for 17 years. It will never gonna leave me! Keep it up and regards from Germany
I remember having a quick play of this sometime, probably mid-nineties. Whenever it was, I found it late, but had fun with it. I have it now on a Mame64 emulator. You're right though, should have been on Super Nes and Genesis. Missed opportunity.
At the time I always wanted a home port of Golden Axe: The Revenge of Death Adder for the Saturn and was hoping later on that we would at least get a digital version for the Xbox 360 but unfortunately we never got it. Another arcade sequel that's really good (and reminds me of Revenge of Death Adder) is Warrior Blade: Rastan Saga Episode III but at least that one came out in Taito Memories II Gekan for the PS2 in Japan.
I always thought the death cry in GA1 was 'aahhhh shhhitt" kind of muffled. It did always seem like it came from a film, but I never knew which one. Dungeons & Dragons did the path chose to, I find it adds a lot of replay value. It would be awesome if you could mod this game and add to the story of his resurrection.
For arcade games I'd go with Capcom's Shadow over Mystara. It's what made Tower of Doom great but theres so much more. Street Fighter II to the original is an obvious one.
That is weird that you mentioned this game. If I had to think of the one game I would of like to see ported to a home console would be this game. Another is maybe the Willow arcade game.

This game is leaps and bounds from its first release. I love em both. I feel this series does not get the respect it deserves.
