I know im supposed to be listening to the content but i just gotta ask, cause we're all thinking it, whats with the over sized Mentos on your buddies ears?
The Scottish accents get me every time haha love it. My locals has the stereotypical "guy who netdecks every topping deck but never tops any tournaments but still considers himself competitive." You know, the pseudo-Kaiba player, but with less money and more virginity.
+ScreenCasterz Netdecking is something I see as a valuable skill that if learned how to properly do it, can make you much better. I say this as someone who played competitive MTG. It's easy to pick up a list and copy it down and play it. But in my view, a good net deckers studies the card choices. Why did the player choose those cards? What is the purpose in the deck? On top of that, one needs to get in mind that top decks are usually optimized for a particular tournament. And as such, that deck may not work for your local meta. And finally, don't netdeck a single deck. Look at similar decks. Notice patterns and trends. Take note of these so as when you're constructing a deck, you know what you're doing. But maybe I'm overthinking it.
ScreenCasterz That's fine. I was commenting on netdecking as a whole and not towards you. So I've got nothing against you or anyone else. But yeah, I know plenty of people like that. It happens in a lot of TCG, MTG included. Although from my experience, I've noticed it is more prevalent in YuGiOh.
Richard Carter that suits me so much. they'll sit there and flick their cards together in their hands, then just set something and pass. I mean, I understand people can do it without knowing and all. however personally, doesn't that harm the cards in a way? like bend them?
#TeamNadhri Here's one: Someone asks for help with their deck and you start by talking about cards they should take out - but every time you point to a card they say,"But I beat so and so with that card". Great, then why did you ask for help?
Theres this locals that before i even walked in, there was a big pile of trash in front of the store. The inside looked like the inside of a GoodWill. All the kids (not even adults because they didnt act like adults) were so loud and the entire place was one side really cluttered and one side really open. I won two rounds out of four (fuckin playing infernoids), and they tell me the top players win prizes. They told me you get entered into a raffle so i was like ok cool. I didnt win, my friend did. All that happened was they tossed people who won one of the shit packs. One pack. And it was like secrets of eternity. Dogshit place.
Just in general peoples attitudes is what annoys me about locals. If you're not doing good then think about what you can do get better. If you're winning, then be graceful about it. Don't think you have any right to be rude just because of how you're doing at a card game
had to subscribe to you lads because you genuinely make me piss myself laughing. your video with the vanilla monster effects duel had me actually in tears, if i'm in glasgow any time soon we're goin for a pint.
We've spotted an alolan form human, changes from normal type to fucking frisbee type ;'). D'you think he ever worries if he turns his head too quickly, he'll knock someone out? Oh well, at least he's getting his mid-life crisis over early on.
heres something annoying: when someone says you dont need a competive stride or competitive thrive to discuss about competitive play. uh what? how are gonna speak for "etc." if you dont even know what "etc" is topping?

I hate when people are like I need so and so card from you and im like ok. grabs his trades and I find a card I want and he says I pulled that it means the world to me not for trade but here have these .25 cent commmons that eventually add up to your card. argh do I need to explain how trading works... you pick what you want I pick what I want and go from there...
anime9228videos what I find worse is this dude who goes to my school knew pretty much everyone wanted his brillant mainly a lightsworns player (pure and 40 card due to him not having money) and the dude says I’ll trade you the brillant then goes nah you don’t have good enough cards fuck off (without looking)
Things that suck about local, The annoying rogue players that are in denial about their deck being trash and swear their deck can compete because they beat one meta the other day, on dueling network.
Angel Olvera the guy who brings his try-hard regionals deck to locals because he really needs to test its consistency against some 12 year old's pendulum starter deck
The people who play cookie cutter shit off from Yugitube deck profiles who don't know how to play them and get salty when they lose to a rouge deck. And that's why I play rouge. Their tears are delicious. You lost to Magnet Warriors, fucko. Gorgonic Guardian recked your shit because you don't know how to fight her. Good job.
I found this really funny but it kind of deters me to make a deck I've always wanted so I can do locals for fun. I haven't played yu GI oh in real life in so long (I know all the mechanics), but it makes me feel like I'd play to slow and annoy people, I'd just do locals for fun and cool prizes. I would show up without a binder and kinda like "I'm just tryna figure this out and have fun".
Back then i had this one dude that always played a deck that was strong against the deck i played on that day. I always got top 8 and every damn time he was my first opponent at the top 8 and i lost every damn time.
The worse one is the Scrub meta kids. The ones who will hype up their favourite deck as some top tier meta shit. No mate. Galaxy's are still not good, The next card announced isn't what they need to take on kozmo, the deck's shite, stop. The ones that will go on about how they've got regional figured out cause they've got a fucking crush card sided. There's scrubs, and there's metas, but the ones in-between, who try to bullshit they're knowledge of meta and make themselves believe they're really good, until they go against 1 nekroz deck, and the mad hype they shout are gone cause his entire 45 card deck doesn't have an out. Tl;DR Meta-Scrubs, Get good, or go home.
i used to go to a local with entry being 2 full packs not astrals and now my local is just 1 astral nothing else unless you get first/2nd and its like 6 astrals for first 3 for second lmao
Great discussion. It's been a while since I've visited locals. And usually, I play MTG. Though, I've been playing more YuGiOh recently. But yes, I am not a fan of players who think they are better than others. Especially, if they aren't that good. To be honest, I'd say I'm average. I was a lot better in the past, not to toot my own horn. But even then, I'm fairly casual now. Though, I keep up with the competitive game. I don't see the point as to why some boast or brag about being better. Okay, these individuals are great players. That's awesome. But what does that accomplish? If anything, they alienate themselves. And I say this as someone who knows some amazing YuGiOh players. A lot of them play poker now(on the professional circuit), but yeah that's just me. And while it sucks to loose(especially, if you brick horribly), I always extend a handshake to someone. Playing YuGiOh, especially in a competitive match, is hard. And both players, misplay or not, are under a bit of pressure. So for me, I always attempt to show good sportsmanship, even if I loose in a terrible manner or the guy is a jerk. Maybe, I'm being stupid, but to me I value that quite a bit. On top of being able to win, if I can. Again, fantastic discussion.
The guy who comes 2nd but gets better cards in his packs than the person in 1st (this was me xD I pulled a Kozmo dark lady out my three shiv and the guy who beat me got nothing)
#TeamNadhir We have a group of people that come to our locals and play bayblade (sp?). Now, I don't care that they come to a card shop and play beyblade and make bionicles or whatever, but this one time, I was dueling and they "lost control" of the beyblade and it comes flying down the table and somehow hits both my opponent's deck and mine and my extra, and sends cards from here to never never land. Be careful with your tops of doom bro. Also, hate the people who buy like 5 pizzas with crazy break and cookies for just their group of 3 people, every week, but wont let you give them money for food or anything. So hungry. I am also from a store whose prize support for WINNING, is 3 astral packs, old ones too. They dont even have the new tournament packs.
This reminds me of why I love locals as I have great pack support it’s like 10dollars and you get two full packs regardless of place (which is any pack they have which is worth like 12 dollars
That one guys who plays fluffal and just gives up as soon hes playing against kozmo/monarch/BA/pendel literally everything better then his no names given
I agree with a lot of what your saying. I find myself somewhere in the middle of being noob and competitive. Have a lot of great cards/decks but not enough spare time to practise and play the game. Personally I find overly competitive players the worst. sometimes it's a kid at locals that always beats his friend n thinks he's awesome, sometimes it's the group of competitive players that sit in the corner and judge everyone else. No locals is ever perfect just need to put up with it n try get along n enjoy the game we all love n play
What in the heck is going on with the guy of the left's ears. To each their own I guess. It honestly just sounds like you don't like the YuGiOh community or the game as a whole... Locals what the game is about, is going to locals and making friends, but it really just sounds like you are being very judgemental and way too competitive. Like for example, showing side deck thing, that is called making friends, discussing strategies and card choices in a local environment, clearly you just treat it as a pure competition to crush the opponent at all costs, but that is not the purpose of a locals. Just my thoughts I think you guys missed the whole point of attending low scale public events.
Farfa is significantly less Scottish these days
I know im supposed to be listening to the content but i just gotta ask, cause we're all thinking it, whats with the over sized Mentos on your buddies ears?
Their called gauges, i have so many friends that have them so ive gotten used it lol
+TundraL5Z I have no problem with people having them, I was just kinda distracted cause every 2 seconds I found myself looking at them.
my autism kills me when i see this bullshit, omgmfhjngfhdifjgndfikhgdfhnjgfigkjfdjgmdkf
I think the point of gauges like that is so you do look at them
They look like they would be uncomfortable.
The Scottish accents get me every time haha love it.
My locals has the stereotypical "guy who netdecks every topping deck but never tops any tournaments but still considers himself competitive." You know, the pseudo-Kaiba player, but with less money and more virginity.
Less money but more virginity lmfao died 😂

+ScreenCasterz virginity cant be bought it's priceless
hey nadhir
dzeeff hey dad
Condolences to your buddy for getting those nutella lids stuck in his ears.
A trend at my locals is people putting 6 or 7 pages of cards THEY WILL NOT TRADE inside their trade binder.
rarehunter191 that's everywhere. they call it a trade binder but it's really just a show off your shiny cards binder
Is it just me or are there really annoying 'silent silences"? As if all the rustle whenever you're not talking was filtered out.
worse thing about locals to me is the lack of bathing of some people and and person pitching a fit when they brick.
The MTG shop that also does Yugioh is my locals
I thought the only reason to go to locals was to get free store credit
I found these discussion videos with your friend really enjoyable and hilarious! Good job!
The best part about my locals is you always make top 8
Cause only 6 people play Yugioh there :3
The OCD/ADHD player that shuffles his hand constantly and only has 1 play to make, but sill waits a minute
Richard Carter that suits me so much.
they'll sit there and flick their cards together in their hands, then just set something and pass.
I mean, I understand people can do it without knowing and all. however personally, doesn't that harm the cards in a way? like bend them?

+Yugiold litterally happens everytine i go to locals!
+Yugiold The worse ones are the guys who tell you how you must build your deck like they are the crowned god of Yugioh.
Theres this locals that before i even walked in, there was a big pile of trash in front of the store. The inside looked like the inside of a GoodWill. The most annoying people are the sore losers who claim that when they win it is skill, but when they lose it is pure luck
had to subscribe to you lads because you genuinely make me piss myself laughing. your video with the vanilla monster effects duel had me actually in tears, if i'm in glasgow any time soon we're goin for a pint.
Weird local game-state: Tyrant's Throes and Gravity Bind both in field
We've spotted an alolan form human, changes from normal type to fucking frisbee type ;'). D'you think he ever worries if he turns his head too quickly, he'll knock someone out? Oh well, at least he's getting his mid-life crisis over early on.
My Local REGIONALS gave out New Challengers as entry in 2016
heres something annoying:
when someone says you dont need a competive stride or competitive thrive to discuss about competitive play.
uh what? how are gonna speak for "etc." if you dont even know what "etc" is topping?
farfa is scottish???
when you realise Tony is from Gheyforgames and it changes you life..
so much truth preached bro. Especially about the people who are ALWAYS in time -_-
great vid guys!
my locals is mainly warhammer but they do 1 shvi or ots ( your choice ) on entry then its like 1st place 2 ots 2 shvi, 2nd 2 ots 1 shvi, 3rd 1 shvi 1 ots 4th 1 shvi then 5th - 8th 1 ots

The fucking ears, man. I can't handle it.
Things that suck about local,
The annoying rogue players that are in denial about their deck being trash and swear their deck can compete because they beat one meta the other day, on dueling network.
I play rogue. I let everyone know I'm playing crystal beasts and they're tier 36. xD No denial here. I'm not Egypt.
Angel Olvera the guy who brings his try-hard regionals deck to locals because he really needs to test its consistency against some 12 year old's pendulum starter deck

You will never diss D/D/D
Things that suck about locals: clicky clicky groups! , great vid buddy !!!
I had my locals hand out legend of blue eyes as prize support
Cheryl Smith and you’re complaining about getting packs from the most valuable set in the game why?
This is great ear training for foreigners in the UK.
I found this really funny but it kind of deters me to make a deck I've always wanted so I can do locals for fun. Hey +GlasgowYGO I would like to get in touch to ask some personal questions about yugioh and for some advice
+joseph King I have a facebook page.
Wait a sec, this isn't Team APS.
Back then i had this one dude that always played a deck that was strong against the deck i played on that day. I always got top 8 and every damn time he was my first opponent at the top 8 and i lost every damn time.
Is that Toni from gheyforgames?
Titan Castles yes that's our Toni.
why is this in my recommended
Could literally name every single person you mentioned in here
What is happening with the sound? Lol
+Team FRU Noise gate was a little too sensitive I think.
When Farfa's accent was very heavy back then. This is a first for me lol
I didn't realize how gay Toni looks at 1080p
I guess he's not only "GheyForGames" ;)
