  • Welcome to the Victorian High Country.
I love this area,I came for one night and stayed a week.
Gold Country, and the famous Bushranger Ned Kelly this is where he was tried and sent to Melbourne.
I have a look in his holding cell and the outside of the preserved Courthouse.
There are many buildings kept in good condition to see.
Fresh air Maple tress on the verge of turning red ,
I took a lot of footage in this area, and had to chop alot so hope you get a good look at the area.
    Thanks Bill.

Hi Bill, I hope you are in good health and the van is running well. You were fortunate to have traveled with your family. I am the oldest with three brothers following. We went on many day trips for my father was a recreational fisherman, salt and fresh. Always a picnic and cookout out of the light blue Dodge Dot station wagon... the Blue Bomber! Quite a complex of buildings you explored. I checked out more history online, including the Burke Museum. I will go back and read up on Kelly and Powers, there was so much written about them. You mentioned the pines. There must be many varieties of evergreens. At this time last year I was in Florida and trees were pointed out to me as Australian Pines. I was able to gather some cones from them, though they were not fresh. But, I had to have them! Your drive to Myrtleford through the valley was beautiful with the vineyards and tobacco sheds. Saw the mountains were part of the Buffalo National Park? Thumbs up for the helicopter photo? I noticed in some of your other videos you are interested in military history. Were you in the service? One of my brothers served in the Army and was a mechanic on the Cobra helicopters back in the early eighties. I checked out "Van Life". A friend of mine suggested you look up "CheapRVliving", has over a thousand videos and he has been living this lifestyle for a long time. I just follow your videos for I seem to have some similar interests. I can't spend all my time living bicariously through others' videos! Would love to travel more, but I would need to keep some form of a home base for all the other interests I have going on. Happy travels, Laura

Hi Laura,I think I've been very lucky to of travelled many areas can't be accessed now,or have wind turbines on them etc, pine forests are my favourite, up in the country there are so many types of trees that you don't see down low, many of the names in some videos are famous explorers re.Burke if you read up on the Burke and Will's stories that might be interesting I think there is a movie too,as with Ned Kelly in fact if I remember correctly, the first ever movie made was the Ned Kelly shootout,I think, now to Aviation and that Hughes 500 in the photo 500s are my favourite helicopter, and I did fly helicopters for awhile. The Hughes 500 (Loach) flew with the Cobra gunships,I think the Cobras are more interesting than the Apache's.I will check out those channels you mentioned. 'Vancity vanlife' is the channel I was talking about before he has a bulldog with him.well take care for another, I go to Glenrowan where The Ned gang where captured, Bill

We have Polynesian longboat festivals in Auckland. They're ghastly spectacles and good to avoid🤮

That was something different, while staying at the park,I heard the voice but didn't realise it was on the water,10 or so boats must be loud.
