    Burton should make a stepon snowshoe so you could just change over in a blink of an eye.

    This is also on my Bucketlist: Snowshoeing with Snowboard.
    Already got all the Gear, Burton Deep Daze with SO, Snowboard Backpack and Sticks with Snow Baskets.
    Good to know that the Boots are Snowshoe- compatible.

      Splitboard is so much better. I've seen people posthole to their crotch in snowshoes, splitboard sank only 3 inches in the same snow.

    3:16 If your backpack doesn't have an ice axe loop to stick the ends in, you can use the pole's straps to run into a backpack strap. If the bottom backpack webbing doesn't open, run the pole strap behind it and stick the pole grip into the strap.

    • @aaalllen
      @aaalllen ปีที่แล้ว

    • @TwistedShrapnel
      @TwistedShrapnel ปีที่แล้ว +4

      slowly

    • @Guopher
      @Guopher ปีที่แล้ว

      you just don't fall

    • @tylertodd4774
      @tylertodd4774 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      For an honest answer, it depends on how steep your riding. If it's steep enough, you can get back going without a little effort. For flatter powder, digging out is super exhausting. First thing you do is make sure your face is clear so you can breath. Figure which way is up and down. If you can't tell, spit. Then start digging for you feet. Do everything slowly to not sweat too much. Unbuckle. Dig out the board. If it's not steep enough to get going again lay your board on top of the snow and work your way onto it. Then doggy paddle like your on a surfboard till you find a place to get set back up.

    That's awesome, but not sure that this is anywhere near record depth in Tahoe I've been in 6' there and nobody even talked about it, back in 2006. Seems like every other year they announce some kind of record something or other... When the resorts are too buy it's time to go to Homewood or Tahoe XC... I've never even skied the south shore.

  • @jeffsprague96

    You really need to include further detail on avy danger mitigation. You said you have tools and aren't entering any potential bad zones, but you didn't dig a pit, didn't perform any tests, and didn't mention how you verified that it was safe. Maybe this occurred off-camera, but this video encourages people to do this kind of exploration without emphasizing the need for risk mitigation. The zone doesn't look risky at all, but you should mention what you did to conclude that it was completely safe
