Re languages, I highly recommend learning Latvian 2gether with the prettiest languages ever created Norse / Icelandic / Dutch / English / Norwegian / Gothic and also Welsh / Breton / Cornish / Faroese / Danish which are the prettiest and most refined and most poetic and most heavenly and coolest languages ever that are way too pretty not to know, plus they are all very easy, as pretty languages with pretty words are naturally easy to memorize and are naturally fun to learn! I am quite new to Latvian, as I only discovered it a few months ago, and it seems to be a pretty language with mostly pretty words, from what I have seen so far, so it’s on my list of target languages, same as Slovene, and I am total beginner in Latvian, so I only know a few words at the moment, and I’ve just started learning the sounds and alphabet, and I noticed that many words are similar to the Lithuanian words, and when I see a word that is prettier in Lithuanian I use it in Latvian, and I also do the same in Slovene when I see a word in Slovak that is prettier than the Slovene word, then every word will be pretty, for example, the word for juice isn’t pretty, so I will use a word that is pretty that I can find in Lithuanian, and the Š should always be pronounced as a normal S sound at the end of the word and in certain letter combinations, because SH is one of those problematic sounds as CH / R / TS etc that must be used in only a few words and that must be pronounced as soft as possible to sound good, and a prettier word for store is also necessary, so it would be a good idea if some words would have two terms, and at least one of them should be super pretty! Anyways, words such as so and good and teaching or teacher and You only reflect me and cannot be misused by ppl and must be edited out, and even though some of the info is helpful, some of the pīktūręs are very dīstręspectful to food (for example, the kid dïstręspecting the fruits etc) and nature / ręínbøwz and the one for süït too, and other examples should have been used instead for those!
By the way, the letter R used in Latvian is a soft normal R aka a tap, not a rolled R, tho many ppl tend to refer to it as a rolled R, even though it isn’t, as rolled Rs are harsh and sound as a motor or engine sound, and some examples of rolled Rs or thrilled Rs would be the Rs used in Spanish by most speakers and the Rs used in French by most speakers, which are very harsh and don’t sound good, so I highly recommend using a soft normal R in all languages, as soft Rs have the best sounds, and I always use soft normal Rs in Spanish and French etc - the R used in Latvian is a tap, and it is the same type of R used in Norse and Icelandic and one of the Rs used in Brazilian Portuguese, which are also taps aka soft normal Rs!

In truth, Russian and most other languages are extremely overrated and aren’t pretty with mostly pretty words, so I cannot understand why many learners try to learn them instead of learning the pretty languages, and only about 50 to 100 languages are pretty, and only the pretty languages should be learnt, and when it comes to Slavic languages, Slovene and Latvian are the prettiest and most refined Slavic languages, as they have been influenced by Norse / Germanic / Nordic languages a lot, and the Norse languages are one of the prettiest artistic creations of all time, as the räider dude that created Norse had true artistic talent and created a real work of art, and the languages that come mostly from Norse and that have been influenced by Norse the most like English and Icelandic and Dutch and Faroese and Danish and Norwegian and Welsh are as gorgeous as Norse, and they are the prettiest languages ever, and the other languages that have been influenced by Norse / Germanic languages a lot are also pretty, which explains why Latvian and Slovene are pretty and refined with mostly pretty words!

Well, you shouldn't enter private property because it's trespassing, but we have plenty of state land (forests, fields, swamps) where you can go pick berries, mushrooms, etc. You can also cut the small Christmas trees that grow under the electric lines, but not elsewhere!

It doesn't exist in standard Latvian anymore, but still can be heard in some dialects and local variants. Actually, many Latvians can't even pronounce it properly anymore because you just don't hear it on a day to day basis.

I'm German. My father was for 13 years in the Sowjet. Gulag because he fought the Communist with his Latvian friend. So my father spoke fluently Latvian and I have an Latvian Last Name
Wow! Thats incredible! Thanks for sharing :)
@@irregularLatvian Thank you für das Herzchen Liebe Grüße aus Font de Sa Cala Mallorca. It's a pity that I did not learn your language or Russin. Even my mother was 12 Years in Workuta. That is where they married. My father lost his left Arm in Perpignan and his Home town was Memel. The War was over for him but he fought with ist Latvian friends against the Russian Invasion. So he had to change his Name to a Latvian Name. I wish you a wonderful future young Lady. To bad that I never traveled to the Balic States to visit Memel. and the big cities. By the way my mother was born in Königsberg.

Do they have every mans right to go into any area and pick berries and mushrooms like we do here in Finland?
Well, you shouldn't enter private property because it's trespassing, but we have plenty of state land (forests, fields, swamps) where you can go pick berries, mushrooms, etc. You can also cut the small Christmas trees that grow under the electric lines, but not elsewhere!
Paldies

Ogun is the spirit of fire in the brazilian religion Umbanda. Maybe it has some relation with Uguns.
Wow, that would be so interesting if they were related!
@@irregularLatvian And Agni is the god of fire from the Hindu Vedas (agni = fire in Sanskrit).
How does ŗ sounds?? Haha thanks for the videos, are amazing
I've come up with an example - the Russian "r" at the end of "Богатырь" would be something similar to Latvian "ŗ".
the alphabet is similar to slavic alphabets so it will be very easy to learn.the sounds that they create are the same but they're not in Cyrillic.
?
Ooohh why you don't tell me how much language you know ❤❤❤❤❤❤

Latvian pronounciation is very similar like Indonesian alphabet
incredibly gorgeous you
Your videos are good, but don't make a mistake like many others do by trying hard to make the video too interesting, focus on the goal and do it on a liter note. Don't over-act it. Best of luck, I will watch more of your videos.
kur tu latvijā dzīvo?

Iespaidīgi, ka iekļāvi visus 3 o. Tos noderētu izdalīt alfabētā. Tad tā kā nāktos videō arī pievienot apbižotos draugus dz un dž. Un tiem es ar gribētu atseviškus burtus, lai atsevišķi vārdi nepārvērstos.

What about soft broder of "R" "Ŗ" in word Kařš.
If the soft R existed before, it has been banished from our alphabet. I’ll look into it and get back to you :)
It doesn't exist in standard Latvian anymore, but still can be heard in some dialects and local variants. Actually, many Latvians can't even pronounce it properly anymore because you just don't hear it on a day to day basis.
Arturs Krastiņš oo cool! Thanks for the info, it would be interesting to dig deeper
_A lot_ of words that you're said sound like they are Serbian, although Latvian and Serbian have _nothing_ in common ! So strange! 😉
