I can't decide if the terrible accents make it better or worse. I keep thinking of the way Paul Rudd said Liverpool in Dewie Cox. It was so over the top but also accurate. This is over the top but not even close to a manc accent.
I don't mind a send-up if they actually parody the artists in question but this was lowest common denominator the whole way through. If the audience isn't going to know enough about Oasis that you have to reduce it to its most generic then don't do the segment.

This sketch appears to have been written by someone who knows nothing about Oasis or Liam and Noel except they're British and they argue. Noel would be getting all philosophical about life and how they're the greatest musicians to ever have existed. Liam would just be saying random words, occasionally punctuated by saying 'd'you know wha' ah mean, laahk, ya know. 'Cause at the end o' the day laahk, ya know, it's all about bein' a rock staaar, d'you know wha' ah mean. It's about goin' out there and 'avin' it, ya know'.
The thing that americans never understand about British is the amount of accents there are. You can go 12 miles down the road in the uk and they will speak completely different with such a strong accent. For example i live in Wigan a small town that has a really strong accent and dialect of its own. I can go to st helens up the road and they dont understand us. We dont all speak like the queen does.

Towards the end my dad watched every and all Oasis and more specifically Noel’s live performances and live tracks. He must’ve watched Wonderwall about 80 times. He also happened to love SNL. He passed in September, I hope he’s laughing watching this
