At the time I didn't get what he said. Fast forward a couple of years later and I finally understood the bigger picture. Kishore Da wasn't a singer, he was music personified. An icon. A legend. I discovered this song when I was 4 years old. I asked my Dad what he thought about it and he went "Beta jab ye gaana play hota hai na? Mai roh padta hun. Kishore Da bhagwan hain".
At the time I didn't get what he said.
Fast forward a couple of years later and I finally understood the bigger picture. Kishore Da wasn't a singer, he was music personified. An icon. A legend. And now, a god.
I am glad I was able to discover a timeless artist like him. Thank you Dad 🙏.
I was only 4 years and it reminds of my growing up days in Bangalore. Just lovely times!! We are living a totally different world now. Love the old days!

Exactly my thought. He normally sings in a baritone or masculine voice but changed his voice to suit this song, soft and smooth.
All the other singers are great singers but Kishore Kumar is music himself..........pure magic.❤️
