I hate how there's this trend of bigger wheels = better looks +looks more sporty + more expensive. When in fact, race cars use only 18in tires, and F1 uses 13in tires. Big wheels are also heavier, more easy to break and horrible for ride comfort. Yes you can kind of fix that with more expensive fancy suspension, but just makes the larger wheels effectively even more expensive.

補品市場已經好成熟根本唔使玩R. 短衝理論上當然細鈴著數但如係砌公路就梗係18輕鬆 所以始終睇個人。但vw副2.0偈 300匹power band 好闊 17/18 rim 都食得起有餘有凸

其實留意下F1都唔會用薄呔。以前啲type r都係用15寸。薄呔事實上只是外觀上的潮流。
以前既性能車用細呤，係因為以前鍛造超輕呤未普及，而細呤的確有較細的慣性矩，所以在相同扭力輸出（或制動）下會有較強的加減速能力。而現時的性能車開始使用大呤薄胎，並不只是視覺因素，薄胎有較薄的胎壁，在受橫向力時有較小的形變，所以轉向會比厚胎靈敏，指向能力較佳，相同材料下有較高的橫向極限！
@@kcrctrain1996 大呤其实系为左可以放大刹车碟。转向灵敏需要靠悬挂调教，如果相同调教，胎压都按照厂商参数加，细呤转向应该会更灵敏，因为Unsprung weight 减少佐，抓地力同weight transfer 反应会更好。
@@kaichizhang8935 Kaichi Zhang 簧下質量減少，的確可以增強輪胎的貼地性，有更強的橫向極限，但現在是在有輕量化鋁圈的工藝前提下，以重量相同下比較輪胎厚薄，所以先不用探討簧下質量的影響
F1 點用薄 一來消耗咁快 二來咁薄好快過熱啦
You cannot expect much from Pirelli PZ4, they are just not grippy compare to PS4S. Also VW OE size for this car is 225/45R17, not 235/45R17

其實用細軨胎WALL厚返重量未必差好遠...只係PMI會有分別...17吋加速可能係快D....但如果順遛18吋個moment of inertia 會大D會遛得再D...可能可以慳油D...
所以都係睇個人喜好...不過我都鍾意細軨...
Tires usually weight around the same. So 17 is lighter than 18 overall. If you go for narrow tires then 17 tires could be lighter than 18 tires.

轮胎是软的，高速下转弯会发生横向形变，越厚的轮胎形变越大。在市区开60km/h当然开不出操控的差别，golf r下赛道用17寸，看看圈速就知道了。当年超跑用小轮是因为当年材料不好，造不出现在的高强度轻量化大轮毂。
