      It definitely made me faster, but I don't know if it's related to the DD, the available force, the larger wheel... or all three combined!

      As far as I hated this setting with my usual drives (because wheel reactions were not as sharp as expected), it will probably feel better with such a specific car. Worth giving it a try in upcoming days. 🙃

      That's cool man, but I think you don't take this video for what it is, my friend came to test it out, and was curious when I told him it could really feel "Arnold Schwarzenegger"-like. :) About the sim aficionados and the DD, I think you're right about them sometimes trashing entry level gear, but a DD isn't about having to be strong like Schwarzy at all, it's about feeling it the right way (with enough power to ensure you don't rise the limits of the base on peeks), going for a latency-less equipment, and even being able to push the strength of the base a little bit higher to feel the car better as you cannot feel it as you would in a real car. Watch my old videos if you want, you will see I started from the bottom, and always tell people to start enjoying with such cheaper equipment (because that's true, once you start practicing on a DD wheel base with some strength going on, you ain't taking it as easy as you would with a cheaper wheel, and you take less pleasure from the "simple gaming session" as you leave the seat tired).

    70% isn't that much and your rig looks like motion rig because it's not well build. It's flexing like a PlaySeat toy. Would go for an aluminium rig instead of this trash.

    • @leeyo5801
      @leeyo5801  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      "70% isn't that much" doesn't mean anything, with some cars it's handlable, but not with this one. You're right about the rig moving, their new models seem better on this point, but it can be fixed, I might have a look. PlaySeat toy, that's rude.

    • @janthey
      @janthey ปีที่แล้ว

      @@leeyo5801 70% is a max of 14Nm, that's not that much. Every Rig expect good alu rigs have flex (or a lot of flex like yours). PlaySeat are overpriced toys. They are flexing as hell and wtf is that thing between your legs on nearly every PlaySeat? Has nothing to do with real simracing, it's just for fanboys. Never seen a good PlaySeat that has no flex and even the best ones are trash and overpriced.

    • @leeyo5801
      @leeyo5801  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@janthey Well, as you can see the shifter is moving transversely the exact same way as the wheel does, tho they ain't linked together anywhere else than on the base of the rig (which weights about 80 kgs), so I'd say it's more a stability issue in the whole room than the rig itself flexing. I admit its flexing a bit lengthwise, but definitely not transversely as you may suggest.

    • @janthey
      @janthey ปีที่แล้ว

      @@leeyo5801 trust me, I have a alu rig and did so much to avoid the flex. Had a normal rig before (Simetik K2) and it was flexing as hell. Every rig except alu rigs like SimLab or Trak Racer are trash and can't hold high forces from wheelbase or pedals. Maybe they look better, but that's the only benefit. The vibrations on your rig are going from the wheel to the whole rig, so every part shakes.
      Your shifter is bouncing because your whole rig is. Thats fact and I tested several rigs before, I know what I'm talking about. My base was a Motedis S-Dream but I had to do some fixes, because even this is flexing stock.
