Strategy: aligning effort with strategic direction

Organisational strategy tells people which way to aim their efforts, but how far the organisation actually moves depends on how much effort people actually push in that direction. When people invest time and energy in things that align only weakly with the strategic direction, or stray off course altogether, it dilutes the value of their work and the organisation's focus.
In this short video, we briefly explain two key aspects of aligning effort with strategic direction:

• operationalising the strategy.
