Magamda din Yung sa navantia kasi may offer sila na transfer technology di tulad ng Korea kahit sila nanalo sa mga project ng Philippines navy kaso Wala man lang transfer technology 😢
Transfer ng pohang class lods .kaso prang di nman priority ang pinas....if why i...may under the table na nangyayari ..panay made in korea kahit maganda ang offer ng turkey dati.....
PN Requirements: - at least 4000 tons - at least 130 m long - 32 or more VLS - AESA - TASS and Hull Sonar - 2x4 Anti-Ship Missile| - 1 or 2 CIWS Deciding factors would be is convenience, availability of spare parts and commonality. Based on these it's in favor of HHI's 4200. But we can opt for other builders that also offer submarines so they can have common systems. PN should require an integrated mast, stealthy design and not the basic options for each sensors. Apart from the ships in the video we should also consider Japan's New FFM, UK's Arrowhead 140, and MEKO 200.
I was amazed with South Korea technological advancement , they could invent everything like motorcycle , car , Jeeps , trucks , warships , missile boats , coast guard ships , commercial plane , Jet Fighters , rockets , MBT , small tanks , etc. SK helps AFP M. all specified above regarding military assets , all supplied by SK .
I prefer the Alpha 5000 ngl. The PN has only been acquiring light frigates and i think it needs a little adjustment. The Alpha 5000 is perfect with its mini destroyer like capabilities and as a Heavy Frigate it wint be as maneuverable as the Jose-Rizal class frigates but it sure will pack a punch
South Korea and Japan's escort ships have adopted 16 VLS (Vertical Launching Systems), but I think they don't need excessive armament because they have air defense destroyers. In the case of the Philippines, due to budget constraints, it seems that it will take a long time to maintain many vessels, so having more armament on a single ship appears to be beneficial. I also believe that more investment should be made in the ship's radar systems. South Korea's escort ships use the Quad Pack VLS, which allows for a maximum of 64 missiles with 16 VLS. However, I don't have information on what missiles are used on the Miguel Malvar-class frigate, so I'm curious about how the Philippines will operate them.
I can see the Navy acquiring the Hanwha design than the Navanta as Hanwha has become a largely influencial shipbuilder for the Philippine Navy. Not to mention, the Hanwha design would be efficient due to the same design overall for all Navy frigates. But Navanta's design is a battle-proven design, as seen by the Spanish Álvaro de Bazán-class frigates, the Australian Hobart-class destroyers, and the Norweigan Fridtjof Nansen-class frigates. So Navantia has a chance.
Whatever our navy chooses, either the Navantia or the Korean design, I think it would be better if our new frigates would be armed with 2 CIWS and not just a single CIWS, ( this doesn't count the 76mm Naval gun, others) one for the Bow & Stern section, coz we all know that our "potential adversary" has lots of naval ships and AShM's (Surface, Air, Land based & Submarine launched AShM's) and if we were to face-off, we could really expect a "salvo attack" of epic proportions, kinda like a threat involving multiple AShM's, say about 8, to more than 10 missiles fired in salvos and coming from different directions in order to overwhelm our ship's defence systems. We MAY run out of anti-air missiles in this process, so having 2 CIWS may increase our chances of surviving these attacks in this situation.
the philippines needed more on frigates than corvettes and coastal defenses.the government should prioritize navy and airforce assets rather than the army
Spanish frigate is the best, we already ordered many ship from korea yet technology transfer was NOT offered, they are not reaally sincere in helping us.
There's information about establishing a local construction system and a technology transfer package, but I've heard that there is no technology transfer at all in the Philippines. Is that true?
The main drawback both of them have just 16VLS,the Philippine Navy should go for at least 24VLS since the incoming corvettes have 16 anyways, gotta upgrade for more firepower, the DAMEN frigates that are bigger than either one of them can carry 24VLS,that's the Sigma 12516 Class frigate.
Hoping our AFP/PN will have many new military equipment such as destroyers (12) frigates (36), corvettes (36), offshore/onshore patrol vessels (36), Coastal patrol boats (60), fast attack crafts or MPAC (260), fast missiles craft (36), multi-role fighter aircrafts (180), Boeing P-8 Poseidon (2), A10 attack planes (6), attack helicopters (60), anti-submarine helicopters (36) and submarines (4), missile air defense systems, Unmanned aerial/sea vehicles, and high advance military communication systems for first line of defense and protection of our country's EEZ/territory. God bless Philippines.
If we have our government budget i wish they will buy both ship..2 for ocean and 2 for navantia..those both ship is more capable if they will combine in combat😅😅 plss respect my comment.
Dapat hati para para mabilis ma gawa
Navantia for me 👍👍👍
Agree coz alpha 5000 is literally a great frigate but we can consider it a lite destroyer if Philippines choose navantia
wow nice choice, can i get a like and subscribe, thanks
