My absolute favourite ghazal by Begum Akhtar. Always difficult to know if it is the beautiful lyrics of Shakeel Badayuni or the melody by Begum herself. Kiranji has given this haunting rendition her own twist , and I must say she has captured the soul and essence of this beautiful ghazal.It is no surprise that Kiranji won the All India Begum Akhtar Award with her unique voice and style.
