David Hammer i did. It did not disappoint. Great camera, headphone jack, great 1080p amoled display, high screen to body ratio. The best software i have ever used.

At Xiaomi's Price, The camera is very good and can catch up on expensive phones.
Edit: There is a Google Pixel 2 Camera Port from XdaDeveloper forums. It has the HDR+ which can make the pictures even better.
Bensen Jero Adviento after the update, OnePlus 6 is the best for ke personally, better dynamic range, more details on the ff cam, sharper and better in video especially in the dark
I use mi a1 with gcam, I don't touch the stock camera anymore. Also gcam has eis so recording won't be so shaky anymore

we must have been watching a different video the s9 performed the worst out of them all!
well overall it didn't performed bad but for the price it was like decent.. I'm talking about the price Xiaomi wins it's almost there. If they made it a little bit more powerful then charged like 50 dollars more then I think it will be better than S9+

Andrei Catangay I never owned a phone whose camera improved this much with just a software update. The difference in quality is really noticeable on my op6 running the 5.1.9 update. Kudos to oneplus for the work they've done with the camera.

@@josephnevin That I agree on. The sensor isn't all that special, but the digitalising of the photos compensates for that. Samsung need to look at their camera and add a iPhone feature (ofc don't name it that). Just as the OnePlus has that as default.

Sazid Hossain you mean the Redmi 6 and 6 Pro, which is what the Mi A2 Lite is based on. The Note 6 doesn't exist yet.
The Mi A2 is a little bit better, there's already at least one comparison between the redmi note 5 and mi 6X (same hardware as the Mi A2)

ordered mi a2 yesterday i hope it will be gud idc much for camera but it would be nice to record good videos cause i never did cause my old phone was bad im better looking for performance for games and etc lol

Edit: If they used snapdragon 710 it should be actually good.. But is not that of a upgrade.. You lose the headphone jack, you still don't get ip rating, and still ware-less headphones are expensive (at least the good ones) so I don't see a point in this mi a2.. I''ll stick with my a1 xD.. I hope Xiaomi roll out the update faster than nokia..

Aron did not know that you can turn of the face beautify mode. I would love to know if he even looked into the settings and turned the image qualtiy from "medium" to high. "Medium" is the default setting and you get much better pictures when you turn the settings up.
Would prefer Mi A2 over both phones for Miui, Battery, price, camera and updates

TelliMantelli In what world was it the worst? lol in low light it's the best by far and it's 2nd in video. daytime shots it wins too because it has 2x optical zoom. you need to watch the video again.
TelliMantelli I just got my S9+ few days ago and I think its a great phone. Batery life is really good on heavy use it has an awesome camera and screen. But if you are on budget OP6 is the best choise. I mainly went with the S9 because it has better screen and stereo speakers. But overall OP6 is a real competator to flagships for basicly half the price.

Terabithia TB yeah..redmi note 4's camera was really bad at dynamic range..so I unlocked the bootloader to enable Camera API 2, and I use the Google Camera port now..does a much better job, but still has hardware limitations..but I guess they have started improving the cameras in the recent generations..
after the release of redmi note 5, the cameras had an absurd leap in quality, mi mix 2s, mi6x / mia2 among others that will be coming. She has even created a department focused on camera development and algorithm improvement.

One thing: When you make such cam comparisons I really like that you include sound/mic comparisons in some of them.

How could u say that. S9+ got a perfect combination of Wide angle variable aperture lens + 52mm telephoto F2.4 lens. That's why S9+ achieved the cinematic look for you portrait, just like you said. Wide Angle + Wide Angle never going to make a better portrait. It can only make the background blur in an awkward way.

Sreekanth Easwar Telephoto is also good! It compresses the foreground and background so it will look like it was shot on a DLSR with a long lens.
Ty Quinn i don't find any reasons to call it annoying. It can be described as like this "Out of the three dual camera phones Samsunng uses a telephoto lens as secondary. Because of that you have to step back to frame better, that might be annoying for some " you cant just say use of a telephoto lens for portrait imaging is annoying.
Bensen Jero Adviento Yes that's what i said. It's always great to have a telephoto lens for portrait imaging. Whennit comes to DSLR, Using focal length above 35mm and lowest aperture always gives shallow depth of field. So the same theory applies to dual camera phones.

No review is free from bias - we watch reviews to find out other people's opinions about products. That is why review videos are made and that is why we watch them. Whether or not you or I think it is annoying is irrelevant. It's Arun's review. If Arun found it annoying as a reviewer then he should say so, and that is exactly what he did.
If a reviewer presented all of their opinions with a long list of caveats and YMMVs (like your suggested paragraph) review videos would take 3 times as long and be pointless to watch. If a reviewer likes or doesn't like a feature and they give their thoughts and opinions about it then they are doing a damn fine job!
Best camera comparison that I have ever seen. I would like you to compare Mi 8 SE and Mi A2 (camera the most important), for me at this moment two best budget phones at similar price range.

Absolutely! Gcam even surprised me on my Redmi 4A. HDR+ makes pictures so good that sometimes it outperforms my other phone iPhone 6!😎🙂

Yup. I have the S9, Mi Mix 2S and OP6 and the Mi Mix 2S has the most accurate colours and the S9 has the most details and best low light performance. The OP6 is decent but has terrible fake colours.
